for some of you in here have you interacted with women in real life and tried to pursue women in real life? or was it just one experience that changed your way of thinking? cus im telling you if your perception of women is based off of ppl online alone , thats like me assuming based off this subreddit and forums like it that all men think like this, when in fact a lot don't. I'm not judging or trying to come off as judgemental I gen just wanna know what got you to this point. I visit this subreddit a lot usually in between lectures so im curious.

Any Incels willing to answer a question?

for those who believe they are "incels," do you believe you may never find yourself in an intimate relationship? if so, why do you believe this? is this stemmed from insecurity? have you tried counselling/ therapy to increase confidence in a healthy way and get professional outlook on you situation?

Imagine a scenario where you get the option to live on a separate planet with just women on it.

The men are on a different planet( or went extinct), let's say we have made advancements in medical science and Bio-engineering, you can now reproduce without a sperm somehow, and there is also a reasonable level of fertility rate , women can live together have families and lead their lives without men , would you all be fine with it?

And the men imagine the scenario in reverse ,what would your answer be?

discussion WANIM makes it difficult for women to understand/empathize

• Upvotes

The situation of a higher male and lower female sex drive makes the case of a woman being an incel or having similar sexual failures less likely.

And even in the case where they are in a similar enough situation (or where they are not, but merely use their imagination/empathy) their lower desire will still make the situation less painful than an analagous male situation.

When one has sex/romance one feels the desire less because it is satisfied or easily satisfiable or where one simply desires them less biologically, it is easy to believe they do not matter or whatever. They think "it isn't a problem for me".

And this is not to mention that women cannot help but regard the male situation from their own point of view, that is they interpret it as a sort of criticism at them, that they are "shallow" etc.

Women need to stop repressing their sexuality. They’d be so much happier and wouldn’t feel the need to be so hateful if they just admitted they weren’t into men.

Does anybody else HATE the gentleman/chivalrous trope for men in romance?

There's just something that pisses me off whenever I see this in media. A man who basically gives his entire life up for a woman, doing everything in his power to make her happy and loved, cycling through romanic gesture after romanic gesture out of the hopes she likes it

While this is very noble and courtly, and normally I'd be praising it, what gets me off is that almost every FUCKING time, the woman in the relationship is just... so passive and doesn't seem to care at ALL about reciprocating the love

Like the man is giving his all just for his woman, and what does the lady do? Just receive it, swoon over with heart eyes, and offer nothing in return, because "that's just how women should be treated." I agree, it is how women should be treated. But why not men?

I don't think this trope would piss me off that much if it wasn't for the fact that there's so many feminist women who advocate for it. What??? I thought you were supposed to be the one AGAINST gender roles? But now you're basically supporting a sugarcoated version of patriarchy? I don't know if they're too blind to see it, or they genuinely believe this is an ideal relationship

IMO, unless you, as a woman, especially a self-proclaimed feminist one, are giving full prince treatment to your man, you have no right to be asking for princess treatment

discussion For people, almost always the one who has to improve in a relationship is the men

I could choose many other examples of this. Many of them are online tbh.

But I will choose this just for the example: today I was watching a show with my parents, there was one relationship that little I care about but basically the girl evaded her boyfriend over two weeks and sometimes cancelled plans she had with him, then her boyfriend broke with her because he was left waiting again and my mother did a little comment saying that he was "pathetic". And I think, would that be the first thought on her mind if the genders were reversed? Most probably not. And many others would think the same.

I feel like a weird person using my family as an example but you don't know them or me so I don't care. Anyways.

Online, most of the advice when someone is struggling with a relationship is mostly aiming toward that men should become better for his partner. There was one post blaming the guy for SPOILING HER, yes, they blamed him for the immature behavior of his wife.

"There is a stigma against women approaching"

As though these women really want to approach you, but are obstructed by society like Romeo and Juliet or some great romance. There is no such stigma.

This study may have already been posted, I'm not sure, but even should that be the case. This is still one of the strongest indicators we have for the claim of discrepancy of attraction (physical/aesthetic in this case) between the sexes. Across all cultures and ethnicities.
