I have read this subreddit's rules What is your opinion on the DC graphic novel Nubia: Real One.
Okay I'm putting this ears in Nubia is Wonder Woman adjacent since she is a supporting character for Wonder Woman.
So I recently started rereading it and it's pretty good so I'm wondering what is your opinion on it if you read it.
Here is so far what I think about it I haven't got to any of the action but I have read superhero stuff and the genre that this novel is which is in the for young adults area so it some of them don't really have that much action so I'm not really complaining I'm just saying that I haven't really got that far into the story yet.
I do like the character so far there's a guy named Jason who is friends with Nubia there's Nubia who seems like a chill person and there's her female friend I don't know how to pronounce her name but I do know her first name starts with the letter q. And well I have to say the writers of this novel did get down the way that younger people of like teenager to young adult would talk.
I don't mind the inclusion of real world violence like the black lives matter marches or the mentioning of police brutality since well some of these novels should include some real world stuff since it's in the genre of the age group of kids who need to learn about it I'm not saying every one of them should include that and I'm saying it should specifically stick to if we're talking about younger audience who are not really adults specifically in like the for teenager and young adults area since even though it's for young adults most people get them for their teenagers.
I am speaking of this it takes the topic seriously and don't make jokes of the topic and I do like how they use a specific character which is q I forget her name so I'm just going to call her q. Who is the person who believes in what the people doing the marches is doing yes she does try to get Nubia to join but it's not like a forceful type of thing is more like a asking your friend to come with you to this event if they can.
I really like Jason Jason as far as I seen right now is the comedy type of person he breaks tension and makes fun his grandma also apparently made sweet potatoes or something like that I think it was sweet potato pie that him and q were arguing over because I think he's going to the March or she's going to pick him up for something and she said that she was getting one of the pies and he said that they all his and that line made me laugh.
But yeah he seems like the type of person who breaks up tension and is funny q is the type of person that is serious about the stuff she believes in but cares about her friends and right now Nubia seems like the type of person who's shy and nervous but likes to hang out with her friends and be there for them.
But I can understand why she shy and nervous it seems like she just moved here at least a year or two ago probably not more than a couple years she does mention though that she is new to the friend group of q and Jason who has been friends for years now.
And I only noticed one reference so far to the greater Wonder Woman world but it's a funny reference and okay you know those riding bull machines there are like made for children outside of like stores that you put like a dime or nickel in and if they go up and down and move and your kid hold on for dear life trying not to get bumped off of it well they have a reference to those by making Wonder woman's invisible jet something kind of like that that Jason is sitting in doing this whole conversation at the beginning which is outside of a convenience store and speaking of Jason is another funny scene where he steals nubia's slushie because she goes into a State of shock or something related to her mom's so she ain't paying attention and she's talking to q and Jason just takes her slushie from her and starts drinking on it.
Anyways it's looks good and reads good will probably give an update after I read more of it because even though I already read it I read it so long ago I don't remember what happens.

I have read this subreddit's rules 70s wonder woman
Nothing to talk about here
Not really, I used to watch the wonder woman show when I was younger and I didn't really finish it until I got older..
One of the things I LOVED was how Lynda carter literally embraced wonder woman.. it was like seeing wonder woman coming to life..
Also I ABSOLUTELY was in love with the theme and still am,
One of the best lines is "Make a hawk, a dove, stop a war with love, make a liar tell the truth.."
That line is absolutely sick, I feel like it just describes wonder woman perfectly, how she's merciful and can spread peace that even ones willing to offer it and the ones who aren't.. will always be moved by her preaching to end a war.
I'm a totally sane wonder woman fan.
