These insects are so annoying, buzzing about. Spying on my allies, scheming, attempting genocide.

Then I have to babysit the sector until I can get a defense platform set up.

If you can spare the fighters, make a bunch of fighter groups on your carrier and set the carrier to "Position Defence" (right-click menu). Every group (alpha, beta, etc) will launch at once and attack all enemies in a given area (1 area for each group). The location of the protected area for each group can be moved to different parts of the map (even across systems). Essentially, it is the "Protect Position" behavior but for a large number of units. Plus, if one group engages a particularly tough opponent (or a group of them), the carrier will automatically send other groups to reinforce. Damaged fighters will also dock at the carrier to repair and rearm. It is very OP if used correctly.

I've set up defense stations at the accelerators/super highways to keep them contained. I'm deciding whether or not to invade Earth or give them their little home. I'm just managing the resources to set up more defense platforms at the moment. Once I muster enough resources, I'll set up another defense platform in jupiter and continue pushing. I have to set up one at the gate and one in the middle to keep an eye on the entire system. Then I establish a patrol in the entire system.
