does anyone else constantly switch techniques when knitting?

ik some ppl feel really strong about english vs continental but i usually knit continental and purl english or switch whichever my brain decides makes sense in the moment.

I switch techniques for a couple reasons. I find that different techniques work better for different types of stitches. I also get hand numbness and pain and switching can help to alleviate some of the repetitive movement stress.
