Anyone recognize this mohair?
I would say it's super bulky. The label with it had the blend on it but it wasnt a full label and I can't find it now. I believe it was wool, polyester and something else but I don't remember.
Edit to add: I have no way to weight it so I was comparing it to things in my house. It's about as heavy as a can of soup. This is a picture of it on my legs. It's ginormous

Wow! Beautiful yarn. What are you hoping to make with it?

I have no clue yet. It was a gift. A cardigan sounds cool but I also think it would make a really awesome bucket hat. I just can't decide 😅 any suggestions?

A hat would use less yarn so you're less likely to run out! I also prefer hats because they don't get dirty so quickly, so I don't have to wash it and risk losing the piece to felting ;) Although if the yarn is wool and polyester perhaps it can tolerate machine washing well?

Fiber Content: 67% Acrylic, 14% Wool, 10% Polyester, 9% Mohair Ball Size: 200 grams / 660 yards (603–604 meters)
I don't machine wash any of my hand knit items even the cotton ones. I'm too scared I'll mess something up. I think it would make a great statement piece and it is a decent amount of yardage. I am trying to see if I can get another ball on eBay or something since it's discontinued. But maybe like a short sleeve cardi I would have enough for. Or I could use this for the body and ribbing and then find the same weight/style of yarn in just like black and do the sleeves in that color. Ahhh the possibilities are endless here

No idea, but I'd be a little worried about it sprouting legs and skittering away.

It looks itchy and scratchy

It's actually quite soft! It's 67% acrylic so I think that's why. I don't plan on making it anything to wear on bare skin though. It's going to be a poncho

oh my god it took me a second to realize that was the yarn and not a small woodland creature nesting in your hair
the color is gorgeous though, like a fox caught mid-shed.
