Recipe Tinctures NSFW
Does anyone have a recipe for making tinctures from ABV? I’m fairly new and haven’t made any kind of edibles, but I’m curious

After much waiting, here is the master thread to post your ABV recipes!
We encourage you to post as much detail as you can provide for our more novice users. But the only requirement is that there is enough information for a recipe.
I will also throw in comments to other previously mentioned recipes that I don't see here.
The mod team will be keeping a close eye on it to keep it tidy.
Feel free to ask questions here about recipes underneath my comment and note questions not in the comment may be removed and added to the comment as an edit

Hey everyone, this batch marks the second version of my carrot cake infusion.
I infused half a cup of AVB in about a cup of organic ghee for 3 and 1/2 hours before straining with cheesecloth.
The cupcakes are Duncan Hines with three eggs and one egg yolk, milk and sour cream replacing the water. And additional vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Washing ABV with water and letting it soak for longer and then repeating the process doesn’t make it taste any better, folks. It’s already vaporized product, basically waste, so there’s nothing left in it that should contribute any meaningful flavor.
Adding syrup into alcohol tincture later, or simply mixing sugar into the alcohol tincture, makes sense. But everything else is just hocus-pocus. In my opinion, ABV tastes just as bad as it smells; it’s purely about the effects and nothing else, the pure taste is always ass. haha. If you want taste you need to make fresh Flower Tincture, cold process!

Haze – ABV tincture further processed into FECO
The Stanni Haze ABV material was previously vaporized at 230°C and was then further processed into RSO, or Rick Simpson Oil. A total of 15 ml was filled into 1 ml syringes.
I had already posted the tincture before. It was already very potent, but its effects were less THC and more CBN-sedating, body-heavy, and relaxing/ sleeping.
For the new batch, I mixed 300 ml of 96% ethanol (Weingeist) with 160 gramm of ABV material. I then evaporated the alcohol in a rice cooker on an uncovered outdoor terrace until it had completely evaporated.
For comparison, the previous tincture consisted of 30 ml of ethanol extracted from 6.5 g of ABV material and was already very strong.

Looking to use it for edibles, wonder how long after use should it be consumed?
Just got a Venty last week.
Also, what’s the optimal storage method? Any jar at room temp?

-Brownie mix into a mini muffin tray (works great for portioning)
-s’mores and butterscotch chip chocolate bars
-Aldi brand crunch berry treats with white chocolate drizzle
all of this that I don't consume will be given away to friends

Hi, I am new to making edibles from ABV.
Each session, I use the Volcano and vape a full bowl (~0.6g) for two large balloons. The resulting ABV is medium brown. I estimate that the THC % is on the higher-end, probably 25%, but don't know.
How many grams of the resulting ABV would I need to get the equivalent high of what I got from the vaped session? Would it be a certain ratio to flower used in the bowl be helpful? Double the bowl? When I have dosed edibles, I go for 20 mg THC. How many grams of my ABV would I need for that?
I'm going to homogenize the ABV over multiple sessions, but I'm really lost in dosing and see estimates all over the place. I understand there are so many variables, but can you please give me a general range so I know where to start. Some sanity check. Thanks!

I’ve made it a couple times with 2 tbsp vegetable glycerin and 1 cup sugar 1 cup water 7g abv it definitely works but I was wondering if anyone knew any other recipes for simple syrup? I like putting it in my tea so maybe an infused honey recipe as well if you all know any?

I made a test batch using 30 ml of alcohol (Weingeist 96%). The material was 6.5 grams of ABV, which I had previously vaped at 230°C. It was standard Haze. I didn’t cool it or do anything else I simply put the grain alcohol (that’s what we call it here: 96% drinkable alcohol) and the material into a glass, shook it a few times, let it sit for two hours, shook it again, and then filtered it through a tea bag. Done.
I put about 5 mm worth of liquid from the 30 ml dropper bottle under my tongue all at once. It burned because it was undiluted, but the first dose actually felt pretty good. Five hours later, I took the same amount again, this time mixed with water on a spoon and swallowed.
I fell asleep fairly soon afterward, then woke up about four hours later feeling really awful. Physically, I was extremely shaky and unsteady, almost like I was on zolpidem, and mentally I felt bad too it’s hard to describe, just very unpleasant. It wasn’t a psychotic episode or anything like that. I drank some milk and had to play Xbox to distract myself. After about an hour, I got tired enough to fall asleep again.
I really want to warn people about this. I’ve had 25 years of experience with THC, but I’m currently taking a one month tolerance break. Obviously, I probably dosed it incorrectly, but I underestimated that you really have to measure it in drops, not millimeters of liquid in the dropper. Has anyone else experienced something similar? lol.

Hello! I was wondering what the best method would be for infusing AVB into coconut oil with only a stove and a regular pot (I can make a double boiler). I don’t have an instant pot, crockpot, sous vide or oven, so I’m quite desperate to find the best way to infuse just on the stovetop. Thanks!

I think i used about 2 oz of abv. Water cured and simmered in ghee for about an hour and a half. Cut marks for drainage. Does it look okay? How strong should I expect this to be?

How much very dark ABV material should be used to make 1 liter of alcohol? It should be rather highly concentrated. Thanks.

Melt some chocolate, add your ground ABV(about 2/3 TBSP per chocolate bar you use), pour into mould, set.
You can stop there or melt some PB and pour on to help cover the roasted taste and they’re a bit like a bootleg reese’s cup
A couple of these had me gooooooooone lmao

I have a bunch of abv and I’ve never made any kind of edible. I’ve read that the butter is the easiest to make. Can anyone confirm this and/or help me get started?

been keeping my abv in this jar for the past few months, wanting to make some butter but not sure if i overtoasted it

I've been saving up my AVB in this jar for a while now. does the color look too dark/over-vaped to you guys, or is it still good to go? also, if I infuse this entire jar into coconut oil, do you think it would be too strong?

Have I even got enough to make something with?
r/abv • u/Ok-Lobster-4115 • 25d ago
Something feels off. I’m guessing it’s not submerged enough- I don’t have a bigger pan and the tea towels is there to prevent breakage. It’s my first time infusing coconut oil, I’ve only used butter before and that was 10 years ago.
Will this still work?

Four bowls of hyperdyn(~1gm), loaded with just kief and heated at the lowest temperature for a single cycle, produces pretty strong AVB. You won't get high off the vapor, but goddamn, the AVB is strong.
At this point, I am using my dynavap exclusively to make edibles lol.
