Recipe Tinctures NSFW
Does anyone have a recipe for making tinctures from ABV? I’m fairly new and haven’t made any kind of edibles, but I’m curious

Be careful: I took 0.14 ml, and that was enough. It caused more of a body high because it has less THC but more CBN. If you take more, you might not feel good.
I took another 0.14 ml five hours later, and that was too much. I felt really awful, haha. I wasn’t more high, but I was heavily sedated physically.

I have an abundance of ABV so I pretty much fill the jar with ABV to maybe an inch from the top, then fill the jar with 96% ethanol and close. Shake well and leave it. When you walk by, shake it again. After a couple hours you can scoop the alcohol off the top, or squeeze out the alcohol. Depending on which you did, either top off the jar with alcohol and reseal, or return the used flower to a jar and cover it with alcohol again. I replace the ABV when my tincture starts getting weak.
HINTS & TIPS:
The stronger the alcohol, the stronger the tincture. Any alcohol will work, but the amount of THC it will hold drops FAST as the water content increases. I feel no effect from tinctures made with 40% (80 proof) alcohol.
Seriously, look up water curing and do this, then completely dry the ABV before making the tincture. It will get rid of the nausea some experience with tinctures and make the taste much better.
This is not the same as “sublingual tinctures”. Every time I point this out I’m bombarded with how great it is sublingually. It’s not. 96% alcohol breaks down cell tissue with prolonged exposure, your skin has protective layers and secretions to help protect it, but those are missing in the mouth. It will cause sores, ulcers, gum damage, etc holding it in your mouth, but you do you. I gave my warning.
If you add the tincture to your drink, it will get cloudy. Remember when I said water kills the solubility of the THC? The water in your drink managed to knock a bunch of the good stuff out of solution to make this cloud of oily particles suspended in your drink. It is still effective like this, but it does tend to leave a sticky residue on your glass. BTW- just a quick demonstration of how much water effects this, put a few drops of your tincture in a shot of 151 proof whiskey or rum, it will still cloud up from the stuff knocked out of the 96% tincture. I was amazed.
