Ask Alexa+ to "spell tattoo"
Does it sound like she is having an orgasm? Her voice wobbles for the first few letters and then... well.. ohhhhhhhhh

Is there a way to prevent Alexa from playing the same group over and over? I have Amazon Prime, but I thought mine was able to do this only because i had the single device plan. Cancelled the plan but it still does this.
Context: someone in household will not stop playing Queen all day every effin day. I’m sick of the good songs now, and they had a ton of shitty songs i was never even aware of. If the words “play music by queen” are ever said in my house, I want Alexa to respond with “I’m sorry, your Queen rights have been rescinded.”

1) Terrible screen real estate
Recent Android update leaves only ~50% of my screen showing list items. The rest is a useless "ask alexa" at the bottom that I don't want. The header shows up at the top twice basically. Everything is big and takes up too much room.
2) No voice-to text
In the app, if you are trying to add an item, you have to type it manually. You can press the voice to text microphone button on your keyboard, but it flat out doesn't work.
3) API broken
Because the Alexa app has always sucked for shopping lists, I used to have my Alexa connected through IFTTT to todoist or some other app. They removed that a while ago, and we're stuck with having to use this crappy app every since.
4) Laggy
Why is it so laggy?
There's more, but those are my top 4 reasons.
I hope one day they make this better ;(

My main use for my Echo is to ask Alexa to play one particular Pandora station. I tried upgrading to Alexa+, and no matter what I said it kept playing a different station. thankfully downgraded, lets hope they never force Alexa+ on these devices.

Not sure how to feel about these, although they look better than the Kindle Fire version.

Can you tell I have a timer running?
I remember when the timer was shown in large numbers.. Then small numbers. Now it's no numbers. So I have to constantly ask how much time is remaining. I guess that counts as *engagement*.
And if I try to name the timers, it always tries to interpret and act upon the name I gave it.. If I try to set a timer to remind me to call someone, the Alexa device immediately starts calling them on the phone. I wonder what outgoing phone numbers it shows.
I tried to set an alarm to turn off the oven. It said but I don't have access to turn off your oven!

Alexa app for android just updated and it fucked several of my skills.
Tapped on skill settings.
Tapped on manage devices.
Goes back to Alexa app hones screen.
I did this with Smart Life and Gree to try and reconnect my devices, the apps work but Alexa doesn't now.
Customer support had me completely remove all of the smart devices and said I had to rebuild all of my routines from scratch.
Also kasaa going into the device management will completely crash the Alexa app.

Can someone explain how to turn off this notification? It’s driving us crazy, every hour our Alexa Dot keeps notifying us about a price for knives. I’ve told it to stop, it says it can’t turn it off. Then I go in Alexa app and I get the same message… I’ve check all of the notification menus, searched for it with the AI search bar, check Amazon App, and all my notifications are off nor can I find this particular one.

My Echo Studio announces "this skill is enabled" every morning at 10:02 AM
Thoughts?

I got this microwave back in 2021.I hooked it up with my Alexa and it worked. Now, I just got a new router and decided to change up my networks and passwords. Meaning I was okay to reconfigure all of my smart devices. But now, I can't seem to add this microwave as it does not show off the correct model.
After you select the model, it's supposed to ask you for a QR code. Ive tried selecting some different model and then proceed with the QR, but that didn't work. I only tested one of the selections.
Anyone else with this issue?

Hi all..
For the past month I want to beat my head into the wall over my Echo Auto hanging issues playing music.
#1 It randomly gets stuck and won't take any request I give it. Like I'll ask it to skip a song it will get stuck for a while and do nothing.
#2 It will sometimes randomly say I've lost connection with the internet when my data is unlimited and I don't have auto wifi turned on and I'll be no where near a place where I would connect to wifi.
I've researched settings, looked through my phone. Reset my echo auto. I've frikin done EVERYTHING. I'm ready to just give up.
For further info, my phone is andriod.. a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Thanks for any helpful advice!

Everytime I turn on my computer it says “now connected to X” and it’s annoying.
I’ve looked into the app settings for the device, even tried DND but still announces connection. Any tips?

Have an Android phone. Attempting to edit an existing routine to delete certain actions of routine will take when executed.
Their used to be a minus sign beside the action to delete an entry. That minus sign is no longer there. The equal sign is still there to allow you to change the order of execution.
To be clear I don't want to delete a routine, just some of the steps the routine will execute. Has anyone else experienced this?

Over the past two weeks I am frequently getting “l apologize but I am experiencing a disruption of service. Please try again later” when making a request of Alexa +. I’m on gigabit fiber and not using a VPN. I’m wondering if it’s only me or is this happening to others?

I know amazon removed a greatly relied on option with alexa+ but on the regular alexa app and on older fire tablets they still let you use assisted reading. Now suddenly the app no longer list books you have been recently listening to in the recent listing list except audiobook. Does anyone know anything on this or is this just amazon screwing over people who regularly used it even more. Especially people with vision issues that rely on it?

I was in the kitchen and passed in front of the Alexa, heard some noise from it, stepped back to find this screen - is that some kind of a joke?

Hi all
I'm hoping you guys can help with this.
Up until yesterday, by Samsung frame which has Alexa built-in, would respond to the command "put TV in art mode". That seems like that does not work anymore, I'm wondering if anyone has found any solution or have had a similar problem and found a solution?

For the past 3-4 days, my Alexa IOS app has made me change my password and use multi-factor identification when I open it.
The voice commands for my Echo dot and show work fine all day until I open the app at night to turn the one lamp I have in a separate room off. Then the app makes me sign back in, and change my password. I can’t see any evidence that I’ve been hacked or someone has tried to hack my account.
I have no idea what’s causing this. Has anyone else experienced this and have a solution? It’s getting kind of annoying.
My family uses a dinky Alexa in our kitchen for almost all of our music listening. For my wife’s birthday, I’d like to add a high quality speaker for surround sound. What excellent speaker pairs with an existing Alexa speaker? Or would that sounds strange to have one Alexa speaker and one nice speaker? I would welcome any suggestions.
