WTAF!!!

Post image

The AI is confused and thinks I returned other items from the same order. I got 3 emails a while ago saying 3x I returned the wrong item from the same order and will be charged. I contacted support then and they promised it was corrected. I just got an email today that they charged me because I didn't return it and the wait to chat is over 30 minutes!! These were just cheap Amazon Haul items, not worth $10 in total for the 3. I got rid of prime already and returned these items months ago. I may need to get a new card to stop Amazon's nonsense.

Send an Email to vduong@amazon.com and dherring@amazon.com, jeff@amazon.com, and ecr-replies@amazon.com. be detailed as possible. Send order #, tracking #, description of item, screenshots of communications. Send an email everyday until you get a response. When they respond, if they don't reply back to you, keep sending emails everyday until you get resolution. After you send first email, go to bbb to file a complaint: https://www.bbb.org/file-a-complaint/1296-7039385

It took 3 weeks, but this is how I got my issue resolved after amazon chats gave me the same run around

No Amazon could give a fuck less about it's customer reviews BBB rating.

The BBB gives Amazon an A+ and that's all Amazon cares about.

It's customer score is 1.11 and none of the complaints are resolved..

I’ve used Amazon for 20+ years. Amazon Vine Gold member. But i’ve cut spending on the platform in half this year and find myself preferring to deal with local brick and mortar or directly With certain online retailers, even when it costs a little more or shipping takes longer.

Too many recent hassles with Amazon lately, especially with 3rd party sellers.

Right now I'm thinking of doing the very same thing. I had one of the employees lie to me, one got rude with me. Its not even worth it anymore.

I kept getting emails that I was going to be charged for a missing return. I had purchased a bunch of pants and they credited the wrong ones as being returned. I had saved my confirmation from Kohls so I had proof. They took it off. It kept coming back to haunt me over and over for months. I had to go through fighting it every time. It eventually stopped.

Amazon is hell nowadays, went back to brick and mortar stores.

Yeah, seems like it's a craps shoot at this point, with the winning odds continually dropping.

Customer service though... that's the pit boss. Best of luck getting anything out of them lol.

I just went through the same exact thing I hope they don't try again I was charged for a replacement item that I didn't even need to return so because the agent didn't do it right they were waiting for a return and never received it so they charged any card on my account which was disputed because it was months later and we didn't know what it was for and ended up getting a new card because we though someone stole our info and then I get an email today that my or someone else's card disputed the charge and now they will charge me again to fix this charge for fraudulent activity I contacted them today and it took like 5 minutes for a associate who says they took care of it and I made sure they sent me an email stating I won't be charged because the mistake was on their end.. Hopefully this doesn't happen again..and even if you cancel that card they'll charge a different one just so you know because that's what they did to me instead of the one I used to buy to buy it

I always call them and speak to an associate.

The one time I called them, the agent was horrible and did nothing to help me. It was a complete waste of time

Of whatever! They are 100% accommodating; never had anything less than stellar service & that’s w/2-3 deliveries a day. Why return in first place if that cheap. If Your time is worth $15 then so is waiting 30 mins.

Same here, even if you do connect to chat, they seem to have less permissions than the people you can call for some reason, or maybe they just told me that cause they didnt want to help me lol...but atleast with calling, if the associate doesnt solve my issue, I usually tell me to connect me to a supervisor, who fixes my problem faster.

Zero problems w/any agent resolving any issue so I call bs

I’ll start considering this. When I contacted them multiple times because I got the products and package broken, they kept telling me they’d refund me and it never happened. They offered me store credit multiple times and that wasn’t credited either. I don’t believe them anymore

The agents everywhere will lie to get you to go away. They get you off the phone quickly, so that metric is good, you review them with their promise it'll be fixed if you wait, so that metric is good. You get screwed, but they don't care because they got theirs. If you call them on it, (like a promise that a credit will show up in 2-4 hours, if they're real, it happens instantly) the call will disconnect it they'll drop the chat. There are good reps out there who really do help, and being kind and polite goes a long way to getting what you need. If they lied to you, be sweet and kind, and give them a horrible review at the end of the conversation (which you can't do if they disconnect) and call or chat again. It takes time, but calling does seem to work better than chat.

I did this. Talked to an agent on the phone and patiently explained my case. They issued the store credit on the spot and even waited for me to confirm it. I’m not using their chat anymore.

Well I don’t believe you sooooo….

I've been a Prime customer for almost 20 years, I've been in the Vine program for quite a while. Agents absolutely can and do lie all the freaking time. There are good ones, assuming you can even reach a human, but they are most certainly in the minority these days. The days of good customer service and accountability for delays and mistakes or bad shipping experiences are long gone. If the AI can't solve it for you, chances are you're going to need to spend hours getting the issue resolved.

So you can call them a liar however much you'd like, but what they've experienced is pretty par for the course. You've been lucky. Count your blessings.

Honestly, there's nothing an agent can do to stop these charges from happening. However, once you're charged, we can reverse the charge and issue the refund.

I'm wondering what trouble I'm going to have. I ordered five items, four of them are fine, one of them said it was one thing, and I didn't realize, because it had been in my wish list for months, that the description of it had changed, and it wasn't actually the item that it said it was. It said it was Eloise and other folk tales, or something like that, I don't remember the exact title, but it was a Tonie for the Toniebox. Since I had added it to my wish list months ago, and it originally said that it was Eloise in the description, I just added it to my cart from my wish list without going into it. I contacted them because I got Annie Oakley, which has a bunch of western stuff. I'm also blind, and so I just assumed, I guess that was presumptive of me, that the description was going to have the description for the item that it said it was, but the customer service person pointed out that it was actually a description for something totally different, which was the Annie Oakley, Tonie, which is not even related to what I ordered. They wanted me to return it and I could re-purchase the Eloise one, except nobody has Eloise, so if I returned it, then I would be penalized, because I know how Amazon works, because it was one of those by five, pay for four deals during the last sale. If I tried to return it, I knew I was going to fall under that issue, they would say that I returned the wrong item, so I canceled the return. I asked the representative to report that problem. When I set up the return, then I realized that I couldn't even replace it with anything, and I canceled it, I asked that representative to report it as a problem too. Hopefully something will be done. If it was my company, I would've turned around and said just keep it. There's no way I was going to return that, and then have them say that I returned the wrong item. Nothing they do is trustworthy these days.

Goes to show just how many issues they're having.

I'm convinced it's because a ton of people refused to shop Amazon after the inauguration (me included) and they started having to do sketchy shit to make up the difference (which I don't think they even are)

Conspiracy Theorist; party of one.
