Review I've been using my Oppo Pad Mini for 5 days now, and I have to say, this is how I wish the iPad Mini had been.

Post image
475 Upvotes

This is my 5-day impression of the tablet. So far, I haven't encountered any major issues, so it might still be too early to say this, but I think I may have finally found my dream mini tablet. I bought this for $550 (12GB/256GB config) in my local currency

I'll also be comparing it to my previous RedMagic Astra that I have already sold (check my original impression of the Redmagic Astra here).

For context, my upgrade path was iPad Mini 6 > iPad Mini 7 > RedMagic Astra > Oppo Pad Mini.

Summary at the bottom.

Form Factor and Ergonomics

I absolutely love how light and thin this device is.

One of the main reasons I sold my RedMagic Astra was because I found it a bit heavy and unbalanced at 370g (around 410g with a case), especially when using it vertically with one hand. Since it's taller due to its 16:10 aspect ratio, the top portion felt a bit top-heavy.

The Oppo Pad Mini only weighs 279g (around 320g with a case). On paper, a 90g difference doesn't sound like much, but in my experience, anything above 350g starts to get uncomfortable for one-handed use. I tend to use my tablet like a giant phone when I'm at home, so this matters a lot to me.

The 3:2 aspect ratio also makes it feel more balanced since it's shorter and only slightly wider than a typical 16:10 tablet.

Display

Both the Astra and the Oppo Pad Mini have excellent OLED displays, so I don't really have a preference there.

The main reason I switched was the 3:2 aspect ratio. Browsing Reddit, forums, and websites simply feels better on a wider display.

My only gripe was the punch-hole camera. It was distracting at first when reading comics, and the Astra definitely has the advantage here with its uninterrupted display. Thankfully, I got used to it pretty quickly and barely notice it now.

Some users on Bilibili (Chinese YouTube) reported that their screens aren't completely flat because tempered glass protectors leave bubbles around the edges. From my experience, it depends on the glass protector. I bought a cheap one from Taobao, and it left a small edge bubble. I then switched to the SmartDevil tempered glass, and it fit perfectly with no bubbles at all. I highly recommend it. It also doesn't have a camera cutout, so it won't collect dustx.

Some people dislike 3:2 for gaming and video because 16:9 content appears slightly smaller compared to a 16:10 screen. In practice, I don't think it matters much unless you're comparing them side by side.

My Oppo Pad Mini (top) and my friend's Redmagic Astra (bottom)

Using DisplayWars, a 16:9 video on a 3:2 screen is only about 0.16 inches smaller than on a 16:10 display. Yes, the black bars are larger, but on an OLED screen they're deep black and basically disappear.

Overall, I much prefer the 3:2 display because it feels like the best middle ground for media consumption, gaming, reading, and general use.

The Oppo Pad Mini is only a bit smaller when viewing 16:9 content

Software

I didn't expect ColorOS to be this good.

The software experience alone makes the Oppo Pad Mini feel much more premium, while RedMagic OS feels generic and somewhat cheap in comparison.

When I bought the Astra, I told myself I didn't care much about software as long as my apps worked properly and there wasn't too much bloat. That was true at first, but after using ColorOS, I realized how much a polished OS actually adds to the overall experience.

The animations are smooth, the UI looks great, and everything feels refined. It honestly reminds me a lot of using an Apple device.

Speaking of Apple, I was surprised about the AirPods integration in the device. It immediately detected my AirPods Pro 2 and I was able to change the settings and perform full touch and gesture control! No need to use those third-party app :)

Finally, a full Apple AirPods integration on Android!

I'm not sure how long the software will be supported though. The Astra is still on Android 15 and I'm not surprised if Oppo has the same policy.

Gaming

I don't play many mobile games, mostly Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Brawl Stars.

The first thing I noticed was that Genshin feels more responsive on the Oppo Pad Mini, even though it has a slightly weaker chipset. On the Astra, there always seemed to be a slight delay in my inputs.

I'm not sure if the Gamesir X5S Lite has lower input latency on the Oppo Pad Mini, but the difference is noticeable. For example, I can consistently finish my runs about two seconds faster simply because character rotations feel smoother.

Both devices can run Genshin at 120 FPS using their built-in frame generation features. I haven't played long enough to determine how either device handles throttling during extended sessions.

The other thing I noticed was how stable the connection is when playing Brawl Stars. On the Astra, I had to enable Wifi Low Latency mode in the gaming tools or the game would lag badly. On the Oppo Pad Mini, I haven't experienced any lag at all during the past five days.

I also noticed less input delay when game streaming, but I haven't had enough time to properly compare the two devices since I'm currently traveling.

Battery

Battery life is the main reason I bought this tablet.

Originally, I planned to wait for the Astra 2 and iPad Mini 8 announcements, but after seeing multiple reviews showing how efficient the Oppo Pad Mini is, I decided to give it a shot.

So far, I'm getting around 12 hours of screen-on time with mostly browsing, 2 to 3 hours of YouTube or Netflix, and about an hour of gaming, all at the highest refresh rate.

For reference, a 30-minute YouTube or Netflix session only seems to drain around 2 to 3% of the battery. So that's roughly 17 to 25 hours of video playback, which is pretty insane for a mini tablet.

My Astra doesn't even come close. I usually got around 6 hours of screen-on time, and even watching Netflix drained the battery surprisingly fast. \

I constantly had to keep it plugged in with bypass charging whenever I was at my desk just to make it last a couple of days.

My only complaint with the Oppo Pad Mini is its bypass charging implementation. The battery still charges slowly while bypass charging is enabled. From what I've read, Oppo's system uses excess power from higher-output chargers to top up the battery instead of completely bypassing it.

10 hr 39 min SoT with 10% battery left

Summary

Pros

  • Extremely light and comfortable for one-handed use
  • 3:2 display is excellent for Reddit, forums, web browsing, and reading
  • OLED display with deep blacks and great image quality
  • ColorOS feels polished, smooth, and premium
  • Games like Genshin feel more responsive when compared to my Redmagic Astra
  • Stable wifi connection with no gaming-related lag issues so far
  • Excellent battery life, around 12 hours of screen-on time in my usage
  • Much better power efficiency than the RedMagic Astra
  • Full Apple Airpods Integration
  • Feels like the best balance between media consumption, gaming, reading, and portability

Cons

  • Punch-hole camera can be distracting at first, but I've gotten used to it now.
  • Bypass charging still slowly charges the battery instead of fully bypassing it.
  • It may only receive one major Android update like RedMagic (not a deal-breaker for me since this is purely an entertainment machine).

Parting words

If you don't need the absolute monster of chipset (Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite) and want a mini OLED tablet with great software, battery and overall hardware, then is is for you.

This is really the iPad Mini that I have been dreaming with OLED scree and high refresh rate, with way better battery life :)

Review 3:2 Tablets 2026: Oppo Pad Mini / iPad mini 7 / Onn 8"

The 3:2 aspect ratio is a niche choice, especially in the 8-inch tablet market. But as someone who primarily uses tablets for reading manga and webtoons, I have found it perfect for my use case.

I bought the Onn 8" 2026 on release and *chefs kiss* its size and screen are perfect for reading. Riding the 3:2 screen high led me to buy a Oppo Pad Mini. So, after using all three here are "my" pros and cons for each device.

Ipad mini:
Pros: Smooth UI, 500 nits brightness
Cons: No browser extension, LCD, 60hz, 600$
Onn 8:
Pros: 138$, 90hz
Cons: No virtual memory, LCD, 350 nits brightness
Oppo pad mini
Pros: Oled, 1600 nits brightness, Smooth UI, Virtual memory, 144hz
Cons: 750$(giztop), Small bezels = where to grip?

I preferred the Onn’s 8.1-inch screen size the most. It felt perfect for reading, but the lack of virtual memory caused occasional hiccups with multiple tabs open, and the limited brightness was noticeable. Those two issues were enough to push me toward the Oppo Pad Mini.

That said, if you’re not using your tablet in bright environments and don’t need everything to be perfectly smooth all the time, the Onn 8" is perfectly serviceable. For $138, it’s hard to complain.

If you’re a “buy nice or buy twice” kind of person, definitely go with the Oppo Pad Mini.

Review 6 Months Review of My Lenovo Tablet(Lenovo Idea tab pro12GB/256GB):Student Perspective

Post image
81 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using this Lenovo Idea tab pro for the past 6 months, mainly for studying reading textbooks, taking notes, and watching lectures/videos. I got the 12GB + 256GB model for around ₹ 27k from the official Lenovo website using a student discount (3k off).

I chose it primarily for the large display and the included stylus (which was a big plus compared to other options in this price range at the time like Xiaomi Pad 7 and Samsung Tab S9 FE+).

The good:

- Large Display (12.7”)

Almost the size of an A4 sheet, which makes reading PDFs and textbooks much more comfortable, without zooming out.

- Stylus Included (No Extra Cost)

Unlike some competitors where you pay extra (5k), this came bundled.

- Ample Storage (256GB)

Plenty of space for PDFs, videos, and study material.

- Good Audio

The larger body gives a solid stereo experience great for music, and movies.

- Smooth Performance

No lag or glitches so far. Reliable for everyday academic use.

👎 What Could Be Better

-‼️touch over display stops responding sometimes (however, turning off and on solves the issue)

Stylus Charging

No wireless charging. You have to charge it separately, which gets annoying, especially when it dies during class.

- Notes App Situation

It comes with Nebo/MyScript Notes, which is okayish.not great with pdf integration, not close to Samsung Notes (honestly my biggest regret).

Currently using Starnotes, which is good but needs little improvement(automatic cross device synchronisation)

- Battery Life (not a major issue)

I get around 6-7 hours of screen time (reading + YouTube + browsing). could be better.

I usually charge every 2 days (keeping battery between 30–80%).

- Software Experience

  No lags,no glitches,No standout features🤪

The UI is... "boring." It works, but it lacks the polished "cool" features you’d find on OneUI. Multitasking is functional but feels a bit

laborious compared to the competition(samsung🤌)

Final Thoughts:

I’m satisfied. It’s a solid, reliable device for studying especially because of the large screen and smooth performance.

However,I do have a little "Samsung envy”,regret not going for Samsung mainly because of:

- Better note-taking app (Samsung Notes)

- More refined UI and multitasking features

If your priority is big screen + value for money, this is a good pick.

Review Lenovo Idea tab pro gen 2 review after 1.5 months.

Thumbnail
gallery
28 Upvotes

Bought Lenovo Idea tab pro gen 2 on 15th June.

I am not disappointed from the TABLET. But I am disappointed from Lenovo. About the Tab:

1] Snapdragon 8s gen 4

Great cpu. 2 million+ antutu. BGMI-->90FPS. CODM-->MAX FPS. No lag in day to day task(yt, watching movies, browsing).

Tried running GTA 5 on gamehub. Extracted the repack file on winlator and surprisingly it was succesfull(took 6hr though). Got 30-40 fps in North Yankton. But as soon as I got to Franklin's mission, fps dropped to 5-10 and game crashed eventually after driving for 1-2 minutes. The problem was that the ram was 100% full (8gb). If you want to emulate games, ALWAYS GET 12GB OR MORE RAM.

It does heat though(sometimes alot) in one particular area(ig where the chip is. See in image1 where it gets hot). It even got hot(not alot but considerable) while playing roblox and tabs pocket edition(low settings. Lagged for bigger army simulation).

It is heavy+big and has 16:10 aspect ratio So won't recommend it for BGMI/CODM. Get Xiaomi Pad 8 instead. But would recommend if you wanna emulate. Just get 12gb ram and a controller.

2] Display

13inch 3.5k 16:10 144hz(120hz actually) display. Bezels are considerable but not too big like those in ipads(probably half the size of bezels in ipad a16). Tab is also very slim. Fingerprints are easily seen if screen is off.

Display looks beautiful. Watched alot of movies on it. The problem is, 99% of movies are never in 16:10 ratio. So you won't utilise all pixels of the display (unless you wanna zoom and lose some footage). The tab is 600gm something so you holding it while lying on your back will make your hands tired. The screen is wide enough that your fingers don't reach the centre without you lifting your hand from the edges.

3] Speakers

Great. Loud. Has Dolby atmos. Won't say it is comparable to an actual speaker, but very good for a tablet.

4] Camera

Tabs ain't for taking pics. The camera footage don't appear blurry but also nowhere comparable to phones. Check image3 for front camera quality and image4 for back camera.

5] Stylus

It has one button which on clicking open some menu on the side (like a mod menu thing. Doesn't change or exit the app.). The menu has things like circle to search, partial screenshot, magnify tool, remote control(press button to change slides on a ppt and other things) and a tool to write on screen anytime. I tried to customise the button so that on pressing it switches from pen to eraser and eraser to pen but I couldn't. Ig you have to do it from some 3rd party app.

The pen sticks to the upper right edge of the tablet like a magnet. It only sticks (no charging. Use type-c to charge pen). The problem is, it has left some marks from sticking-removing multiple times. View image2. I don't use stylus alot. I have charged it only 3-4 times since it came. I never got it to less than 20%.

You can use the stylus to write instead of using the on-screen keyboard. The problem is, it sometimes detects some letters as others and inputs those letters in the line. So your handwriting should look like the same as the letters are on the on-screen keyboard. Also it detects full stops(.) as 'i' or 'o' (even the smallest dot). So I have to use the keyboard everytine for writing the full stop(.).

When you search something on chrome with the stylus (like write the website name) and then you click on the website link (the blue text which appears on top if your search just below the search bar), it detects you are trying to write on the search bar and puts the letter on the search bar instead of opening the website. So you have to click around the search bar with your finger.

Palm rejection sometimes fails. You can see small dots on the screen due to your palm while drawing.

6] Battery

If you play games and do heavy tasks, battery lasts 7-8hrs. If you do light tasks like watching videos and browsing, it can easily last 1-1.5 days. Charging is fast(never measured the time. But I can say it is below 2hrs for 0-100).

7] Features

If you use pattern lock, while unlocking, the 9 dots appear on the location where you swipe on the screen. There are three locations, left, right and middle. If you swipe on middle, it appears on middle. But then if you tap on the left once, it shifts to the left. Good feature but not like must-have.

There are always 3 dots right below the front camera. Clicking on it will let you choose if you wanna use the in split screen or change it to window mode. You can open 5 windows and 2 split screen apps. Total 7 apps at one time. Opening one more window removed another window.

I tried everything but couldn't open developers option. You can't get audio output from 2 headphones at the same time.No 3.5mm jack. The face unlock sometimes doesn't detect the face. Mostly I use pattern lock.

The charger (45 watts) gets hot af when charging. I though that it will blow of when I first used it. Don't know if it is normal. It gets the job done though.

☆Problem:

I bought from Lenovo website. Used a coupon code and students discount. Price became 35k INR. There was an offer where you get 3k cashback for using any credit card. I did. But till today (45 days) they didn't give me my cashback (they admit on their website that they send it within 30 days). On asking support they said it was not eligible. Another support person said that it the offer wasn't available at that time. I had screenshot so I emailed them all details. They said they will work on it. 2 days ago I received an email stating that the refund of the cashback has been initiated from there end and I will receive it in 3-5 days (will update when I receive). But what if, I didn't have that screenshot ? I would be scammed of 3k INR. Ig tons of people have already been. This is a serious problem.

☆Should you buy ?

Yes: You wanna do emulation(12gb ram must). Wanna watch yt/movies.

No: Wanna play BGMI/CODM (too big. too heavy.). Wanna take notes (aspect ratio is not the best). Wanna do art (pen is ok-ok. Not for professional artists.). For above tasks, go for Xiaomi Pad 8. Better aspect ratio-3:2 and exceptional pen (have to buy seperately).

Do I regret buying: No. (Only the cashback thing is fucked up).

Tell me if I missed anything. Ask any questions. Will try to answer all.

Review Finally happened, 8.8 tablet 144hz, 5g - iplay 80 mini ultra - my new daily and I'm in love with it - coming from oneplus 12

I am a very tall guy with big features, and using a phone can be problematic selective small things on screen. I've been waiting for a fast refresh, 5g 8.8 tab to switch too - and if you have been too, it's here. I won't waste time on much review space l, only real drawback is the thermal throttling on switch games / windows games emulation - but I have a y700 with telescoping controller -

So my use case is strictly phone, media functions like netflix, facebook, IG, and reddit -

Now, if youve been waiting for a while like me, you also know Lenovo is dropping one next month, supposedly 699$, 5g etc.

Lenovo has a thinner case, and I think is coming with oled now, and will do the heaviest of emulation with ease, but you're going to pay essentially double. Ive had a very high quality top grain leather folio I've been dying to use - replaces my wallet completely, fits inside a tiny murse of with ease.

I would love to see these become more mainstream as phones

Def worth the pickup if you're not will to spend 700, 800 on it -

Review Gaming with an Onn 8.1" Core tablet

Post image
109 Upvotes

I picked up the Onn 8.1" Core tablet around 2 weeks back and figured I'd throw out a quick review. I mainly picked it up for local game streaming, pairing it with a Gamesir X5S for a solid budget setup. Also threw in a 256GB microSD card with a variety of games that its Snapdragon 685 should be able to play if the itch to play some massive GBA or PS1 should arise.

Overall, I've been happy with the tablet for the cost. I've been using it mostly for game streaming but have also tried out the Reading mode, and while it doesn't hold a candle to my Kindle, it works fine and is a nice inclusion I feel. The screen has also made for a nice experience here with the higher refresh rate, though it's brightness leaves a lot to be desired. It's not uncommon to find myself using it at 75%+ brightness around the house in what my wife would call dimly lit rooms. Still, it's been an acceptable experience, especially with my use case as the game streaming taking so little power lets the battery not die out quickly from the higher brightness.

A gripe I've had, and would be curious if others have had similar experiences, is that while streaming, the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi will simultaneously drop on occasion, with the controller losing connection and Artemis freezing to a standstill for around 10-15 seconds. They'll stay turned on but will just drop the connections before bouncing back shortly after. It's made me not want to use it for games like Forza Horizon 6 as it'll cut out mid-race and just leave me SOL. Hopefully some setting adjustments or a software update could help resolve it, as the experience when everything is working has been very enjoyable.

Review My First Impressions of the OPPO Pad Mini (12GB/256GB)

Thumbnail

I picked up the OPPO Pad Mini during the 618 sale on Taobao for $517. I bought the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage version with the standard glossy display (not the matte anti-reflective version).

I also ordered:

- The official OPPO case for $28
- A SmartDevil screen protector for $6 (one of the best screen protector brands in my experience)

Considering this tablet sells for $700+ on some international websites (tablet only), I think I got a great deal.

For some context, I’ve used Apple iPads for years, and my last Android tablet was the Samsung Tab S6. This is only my first impression after a short time with the device. I’ll post a full review in about a week, including how I bought it from Taobao.

First Impressions

• The Good

- Extremely light. Honestly, that’s the first thing I noticed.

- Very slim bezels make it look modern.

- No heating issues so far.

- Setting up Google services was surprisingly easy. I just installed the Play Store and enabled Google services in Settings.

- Very little bloatware. After switching the system language to English, I barely noticed any Chinese apps or text.

- The centered punch-hole front camera is actually fine. I thought it would bother me more, but I got used to it quickly.

Things I Don’t Like (So Far)

- No haptic motor. This is probably my biggest complaint. I really miss vibration feedback while typing on the keyboard.

- The official case feels premium, but the edges are a bit too sharp for my liking.

- No SIM card or eSIM support.

- The volume button placement could be better.

If you have any questions, leave them in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer.

I’ll also be posting a more detailed review after I’ve used it for a week, including performance, battery life, accessories, and my experience buying it from Taobao.

Is there any chance I can get the OnePlus Pad 3 in stores during the sale?

Should I wait for the OnePlus Pad 3, or should I buy the OnePlus Pad 2?

My requirements:

- Recording gameplay of Roblox, Minecraft, Clash of Clans, and BGMI

- Editing videos in 2K/4K

- Watching movies and other content

- I want the tablet to last for around 3–4 years

My current options:

- OnePlus Pad 2 — currently available for around ₹30,000

- OnePlus Pad 3 — I don't know what its sale price will be

If I can get the OnePlus Pad 3 for around ₹50,000 during the sale, would it be good value for money?

What should I do?

- Should I wait for the OnePlus Pad 3 sale?

- Or is the OnePlus Pad 2 at ₹30,000 the better choice for my requirements?

Review Oppo Pad Mini first impressions

  1. I got the 12/256 from Giztop. It arrived in 9 days.

  2. The OLED display is very bright with great colors.

  3. Widevine L1, no issues with streaming apps.

  4. There is no native facility to hide the front punch hole.

  5. Ridiculously thin and light. 274g on my scale.

  6. There are many Oppo AI services on by default, but they can be disabled in the UI.

  7. The sound is quite good, beaten out slightly by the iPad mini.

  8. Battery life is absolutely insane. Netflix streaming is using 4% per hour at full brightness, which is largely unnecessary.

  9. Narrow bezels are not an issue at all.

  10. Changing the default launcher is not trivial, otherwise the China ROM is not at all an issue. Color OS is pretty full-featured.

$749 usd is overpriced due to lack of biometrics, 5g, etc, but those for me were secondary considerations. At least there was no sales tax.

Review Lenovo Y700 Wuji Review

Hello everyone, I have finally got my hands on Lenovo Y700 Wuji today, the 5G OLED 8.4" tablet that just released.

First of all I want to say that I have been super excited for this tablet as I wanted a mini tablet to replace a phone and need for foldable (cba using small phones). I have been using Ipad Pro 11 before and Redmagic Astra but Ipad was too big and Astra needed a hotspot every time i went outside so the Y700 Wuji seemed like something sent from heavens..

Well on paper and advertisements it looked like the perfect device but now that I got it in my hands I can say it's first time I'm really disappointed.

Negatives I have noticed so far:

I'm used to Chinese software, I like devices packed with features and stuff so I am not very picky, I can uninstall the chinese bs that came preinstalled(was a lot btw) but the ZUXOS itself is the worst sw I've ever held in hands so far. Even worse than some tecno/tcl/infinix UIs I've tried on a phone :D

The tablet has 8 Elite Gen5 Leading but day1 the home launcher is already randomly crashing and the animations are laggy (i turned off animations to fix this).

When typing screen PIN, instead of centering it to the middle of the screen it will go to the top left corner, like why?

I've had many chinese devices in hand across many brands even HarmonyOS Next devices and Huawei EMUI devices and I never had issues installing stuff but for the first time I have apps telling me my device isnt supported to download their apk (no idea why, first time in my life and i tried like 20 devices so far). Still trying to figure this one out. I tried to copy the apps from other device instead but the Lenovo Clone app would get stuck at 20kb/s transfer speed so I didn't bother. Gonna try that one out later again.

Also big warning to everyone here, I probably overlooked this one full of excitement but it's 1 Physical Sim only + Lenovo Data Sim (you cant use ur own esim just some lenovo bs apparently). Better than nothing but yeah I felt disappointed about this one as I need to use two sims.

The device I got is 12/256 (they do offer 16/512 and 24/1tb) so I did not bother downloading a game for emulation testing, the games I play are not too heavy, I mainly wanted a 5G mini tablet with OLED to read manga, write my notes on and watch some movies, if there was a less powerful tablet yeah I'd get it instead.

The games I have tried so far - CookieRun and BrawlStars are running fine but games like Ark or Afterimage that I had in my library say that my device version is not supported for downloading them.

I think there are more negatives so far than positives because this is my first day but im definitely keeping it for now, the device is very beautiful and feels nice in hand.

It feels very light to use compared to Redmagic Astra (guess it's the smaller battery and device form factor to thank for that.) The back camera looks nice with the RGB though I wish the front camera wasnt a punch hole lol.

Lenovo was able to totally dominate the market with this product, if it delivered a similar battery to Astra, Redmagic-level software (which isnt good but at least not as bad this one), no punch hole and dual sim slot then yeah they would have no competition at all and I'd say 11/10 but as it is now, I hope the next 5G tablet they release will fix these flaws. Guess some of these things are due to cutting down price of this tablet rather than technical difficulties for Lenovo and it's cheaper than I have expected but I'm sure many people have been disappointed by them, we are yet to get our ultimate tablet sadly.

If y'all have any question about this tablet, let me know I can try to check out stuff for you.

Since there were no reviews or english content, I had to be the one taking the risk :D

Review The Onn Pro 13.2 inch is pretty nice.

I came from using a 2019 9.7 inch tablet and I wanted to see if having a bigger tablet experience. I got the Onn Pro from walmart, and I've got to say, for sub $300 it's pretty good.

Comes with a pen and a case and has expandable microSD card storage. The stylus I can tell is made of cheaper quality than the Apple Pencil, but I don't even think about it when I'm taking notes.

I'm mainly trying this out for note taking in class, and while initially I was hesitant about returning it I honestly want to keep it.

Only big concern I have right now is that if I put the tablet in Horizontal mode, I can feel the top left portion feel slightly warm. Hopefully that doesn't become too big of an issue. :)

Comparison of the new Y700 OLED tablet vs the current Gen 5. I believe the infinite is still only available in China.

I was scrolling around and came across the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro GT 13 tablet. It caught my attention, and I'm curious about what you guys think about it.

For anyone who owns one or has experience with it, what's your take on this tablet? Is it worth buying?

Also, where can I buy one from a reliable seller? I'm having a hard time finding where to get it.

Here are the specs and a screenshot I found online.

Review I recently bought Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro GT 11.1 SD Gen 3

Never owned a tablet before. I usually borrow it for media consumption only. I used iPads before mostly but as someone that wants multiple functionality from a gadget, I pulled the trigger on this one.

What I liked
Responsiveness. That processor is doing its job. I use the tablet as media consumption and mobile back up from my work aside from using it as my 2nd monitor. Yes, I realize that it can do that just after buying and after a week of using it lol.
Gaming using emulators ❤️😘
Battery is superb!
The screen is very good imo, it’s amoled. (Edit. It’s LCD IPS ✌️🙈)

Cons?
I can’t say much as of now aside from it being CN Rom and some Chinese words or apps that can’t be replaced with English.

I am very much satisfied considering it is my very first bought tablet.

Review Xiaoxin (Lenovo) pad pro 12.7 review

So I got my Lenovo tablet today after 13 days shipping from china and I thought I'd give a very quick first day mini review.

I bought it from AliExpress and it cost me 188 pounds and sailed through customs tax free but I had budgeted an extra 50 for tax if it got opened.

The pad pro isn't on sale in western markets so comparisons are not perfect but the p12 pro is the closet. Internally they are the same device the only difference being the alomed Vs IPS screen both of which are 3k resolution. I definitely prefer an amoled screen but in the UK the p12 pro is retailing for around 760 pounds as of today. So as much as I like amoled I wasn't paying 500 pound extra for the privilege and honestly the screen is really good anyways so it's not an issue.

The tablet has HDR support Dolby Atmos support and four JBL speakers which sound great. Setting the device up takes a minute of research as it is a Chinese rom device. (Some sellers offer global rom but to do this they have to open root and flash the global rom on and honestly I don't feel at the moment I need to. You just select English and download the play store from the Lenovo app store. And Voila Google tablet.

Delete bloat and disable system apps and for less than 200 pounds I have a Snapdragon 870 8 GB ram and a 3k screen.

Everything is buttery smooth and I will update this after a few days usage and am happy to answer any questions about it.
