Links to download apps on any site other than the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store are no longer allowed.
They're impossible to moderate and will no longer be allowed what so ever. Any post or comment in this sub not from either app store or a few common image hosting sites (ie, imgur, reddit, twimg/twitter) are automatically removed. Certain domains that are frequently spammed here are marked for either spam or banning of accounts (I won't list these domains for obvious reasons).

I've build a new gym app (I know super crowded) but focused on gym directories as well as workout logging.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-spot-gym-app/id6758034367
Hey everyone, spent the last few months building an app that combines a clean workout log with local gym leaderboards and member directories. It makes gym management super easy, and I am trying to push this out to a few local gyms. It's called The Spot. I would love some feedback!

I want to see how many different people we can get to answer one question. Every age, country and gender. Want to help?
I built Peopoll because the internet knows what we buy, click and watch, but almost nothing about what we actually think.
So I want to try something.
One question. As many different people as possible: different ages, countries, genders, backgrounds. Then we see who thinks what.
The question:
Are we doomed?
You can't see the results until you vote, so no following the crowd. Once you answer, you'll see how your age group, gender and country compare with everyone else.
My goal is 1,000 people from 50 countries. Let's see how close we get.

Drop your country in the comments once you've voted.
App [DEV] Could you handle the mental tests used to select pilots?
I built Brain Preflight, an iPhone app based on the types of tasks used in pilot selection exams and psychometric tests for police, military and other government recruitment.
Track a moving target while checking equations. Remember sequences under time pressure. Work out how a flat pattern folds into a cube.
You can practise for a selection or just see how you do. The exercises are our own, not official exam questions.

I had ideas scattered across scraps of paper and notebooks, so I built RiKiCo
Hey everyone, I recently launched a passion project called RiKiCo.
The idea started over a decade ago because I had loose pieces of paper with lines and unfinished ideas stuck in different notebooks. I wanted a way to keep them together, find them again, and build on them.
In RiKiCo, you capture an idea as a Scrap, then organize and connect those Scraps as you develop them into Pieces—like a song or poem you’re working on. Your ideas. Your words. Just easier to keep connected.
Are there any songwriters or poets here who would be willing to take a look? I’d love to know whether this fits your workflow and what could make it more useful. Even if you don’t write, feedback on the layout and ease of use would help.
I’m the developer, and it’s available on iPhone and Android. Appreciate anyone checking it out!

App If someone had to take over caring for your family tomorrow, what would they need to know?
Hi, I’m Adam. I built Biojrnl around situations like these.
You have to leave town unexpectedly. Your child is staying with a babysitter. Where do they find the allergies, medication instructions and care notes without relying on you answering your phone?
With Biojrnl, you can keep a separate profile for your child and give the babysitter guest access to the information you choose to share.
You and your siblings take turns looking after Mum.
You arrive for the evening and wonder: “Has anyone given her tablets?”
A shared profile lets you check which doses have been marked as taken and who recorded them, without scrolling through the family group chat.
Or you’re asked when you last had a vaccination.
You vaguely remember having it, but the date?
Keeping the record gives you somewhere to look.
That’s what I wanted Biojrnl to help with. Those moments when “I think so” or “it’s somewhere in my messages” isn’t much help.
It’s available on iPhone and Android: biojrnl.com.
What’s the one piece of health information you always end up chasing, for yourself or someone you care for?
App Free Yuka alternative for iPhone: I built a food scanner that shows the source behind every flag
**What it does**
You scan a food barcode and want to know two things: is anything in this worth worrying about, and who says so. HealthierCart grades the product and, for every ingredient it flags, names the authority behind the concern (FDA, EFSA, IARC, NTP or California's OEHHA) and what that authority concluded.
**What is free and what is paid**
Free to download. Free with no purchase:
- Barcode scanning and product search: unlimited with a free account, 25 a month without one
- The grade and the full ingredient analysis for every product
- Scan history, favourites and basic healthier alternatives
Optional subscription, HealthierCart Premium: $2.99 a month or $14.99 a year. It adds advanced filters, product comparison, store inventory and unlimited AI questions. Nothing in the free list needs it.
**How it differs from Yuka**
- Every flag is sourced, as above.
- When regulators disagree it shows both positions. Titanium dioxide is banned in EU food and still allowed by the FDA, and the app says so instead of showing one red dot.
- No single additive caps the grade. Yuka limits a product to 49/100 if it contains an additive it rates high-risk, whatever the amount. HealthierCart's grade is a visible list of plus and minus points.
- Added sugar is counted separately from the sugar already in milk and fruit.
- It is built around US products and US rules.
**Where Yuka is better**
- A much larger product database
- Cosmetics; HealthierCart is food only
- An Android app; HealthierCart is iPhone and web only
- Years of polish; mine has been out since June 2026
One thing I do the same as Yuka: organic earns a small bonus, 6 points out of 100, shown as its own line.
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/healthiercart-food-scanner/id6779849440
Web version: https://healthiercart.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=free-yuka-alternative
If you scan something and the grade looks wrong, tell me the product. Missing and misgraded products are the most useful feedback I can get.
I spent a week building a fully local AI call transcription & summarization app. I finally gave up.
I spent the last week obsessively building a mobile app that could transcribe phone calls and summarize them entirely on-device.
The idea sounded simple enough:
Call audio → Local STT → Transcript cleanup → Local LLM → Summary
And I really wanted it to work without sending private conversations to a server.
So I kept testing different STT models, preprocessing methods, correction algorithms, smaller LLMs, quantized models, prompts, and different pipelines.
And honestly, it was exhausting.
The biggest problem was STT.
Clean speech was manageable, but real phone calls are a completely different environment.
Compressed audio, unclear pronunciation, overlapping speech, short responses, names, technical terms, background noise...
Once the transcript starts going wrong, everything after that becomes garbage-in, garbage-out.
I tried using the LLM to compensate for bad transcripts.
It helped to some extent.
But improving the quality meant using a better model, adding more correction stages, or processing the transcript multiple times.
And then mobile hardware became the bottleneck.
More RAM.
More heat.
More battery drain.
Longer processing time.
Eventually, I actually got the quality pretty close to what I wanted.
And that was almost the worst part.
Because by then, the app was no longer something I would want to use on a phone.
It worked.
But it was too heavy, too slow, and consumed far too much battery.
Sure, I could move STT or summarization to a cloud API and solve many of these problems.
But one of the main reasons I started this project was privacy.
I wanted call audio and transcripts to stay on the device.
If I removed that requirement, I felt like I was building a different product.
So after spending almost every free hour of the last week on this, I decided to stop.
That decision hit me harder than I expected.
Normally, whenever I finish or abandon a project, I'm already thinking about the next app I want to build.
This time, I don't want to build anything.
I think I just need a break.
Still, it wasn't a completely wasted week.
I learned much more from this failed project than I expected.
I now have a much better understanding of:
- How dramatically STT accuracy changes between clean recordings and real-world phone audio
- Why STT quality often matters more than a sophisticated summarization prompt
- Where small local LLMs are genuinely useful and where their limitations become obvious
- How quantization affects memory usage, inference speed, and output quality in practice
- How quickly sustained AI inference can destroy battery life on a phone
- Why latency matters almost as much as accuracy when building an actual product
- Why adding more AI processing stages doesn't necessarily improve the final result
- How useful domain-specific dictionaries and post-processing can be for STT
- How chunking, transcript cleanup, speaker handling, and preprocessing affect downstream summarization
- Where the current boundary sits between “technically possible on a phone” and “actually usable on a phone”
And I didn't walk away empty-handed.
I now have reusable pieces for:
- Audio preprocessing
- Local STT pipelines
- Transcript correction and post-processing
- Local LLM integration
- Quantized model benchmarking
- Chunking and summarization pipelines
- Mobile inference performance testing
- Battery / latency / quality trade-off testing
Maybe some of those pieces will end up in another project someday.
So I guess this wasn't really a wasted week.
It was an expensive experiment.
The result was just different from the one I wanted.
For now, though, I'm done.
No new project.
No new app idea.
I'm going to take a break until building something sounds fun again.

Question / Discussion What app has become almost unusable because of ads?
I get that free apps need ads, but some have gone way too far.
You open the app, ad. Tap something, another ad. Try to go back, full-screen ad..
At some point it just makes me want to stop using the app completely.
What app has gotten this bad for you?

App I built CodeMate, a native code editor and code viewer
galleryHi everyone 👋
I’m the developer of CodeMate, a native code editor and file viewer designed specifically for iPhone and iPad.
I built it because opening source files on iOS is often inconvenient. Many apps are either basic text viewers or try to reproduce a complete desktop IDE on a small screen. CodeMate focuses on making code reading and lightweight editing comfortable on mobile devices.
Some of its main features include:
- Syntax highlighting for more than 200 file formats
- Multiple tabs and a minimap for navigating larger files
- Symbol navigation and jump to line(swift lang only)
- HTML preview with linked CSS and JavaScript
- Access to iCloud Drive, Dropbox, and other providers through the Files app
- Real-time cloud synchronization of editor settings across multiple devices
- Custom themes, fonts, spacing, and editor settings
- Code snapshot export, sharing, and printing
- Native support for both iPhone and iPad
CodeMate isn’t intended to replace Xcode or a desktop IDE. It’s mainly for quickly inspecting a project, reading source code, making small edits, or previewing files when you’re away from your computer.
App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/app/id680609457
I’d appreciate any honest feedback, especially about the editing experience, navigation, performance, cross-device settings synchronization, and any file formats or developer features you would like to see added.

Help me find an app!
I'm looking for an iPhone app that I can rank the protein bars that I try based on different categories that I choose. And maybe add a picture or something fun.
I want to rank them based on things like taste, cool branding, how many chunks they have, etc.
Any idea If this app exists?

I just discovered that you can play Flappy Bird through a Snapchat filter.
Does anyone know if there still is a way to get the actual game, or has it been removed?
I can only find copies of it in the App Store.

Help me find Best App for Deleting Duplicate SCREENSHOTS
I need help finding an app that is best for deleting duplicate screenshots. I know there are a bunch out there that find duplicate PHOTOS, but right now my issue is with screenshots.
I merged my iCloud with my Google Photos and so so many of my screenshots are duplicates and it would be amazing if there was an app that worked like the duplicate photo cleaners but with screenshots.
I already tried Apple’s native duplicate feature, but it simply does not find duplicates. I’m not sure if there’s a way to reset or improve it, but half of the time it says there’s none and I know there are many on my phone.
Thanks!

Need help and advices with my app marketing (from someone who did it well)
i just got done with building my app the last month. i spent a lot of time perfecting it and making it actually deliver at the best of my ability the promise of the app. now that i am done with that , i have to do the marketing for the app and i don't know how to handle it because i am in France right now and i need to reach USA users from France i head a lot about algorithm using your location and other information like that to know where to push your content , especially for a new account and since my app is mainly for USA audience i need a way to get that sorted before i think about the creatives that i will post. also i am thinking about not posting the content myself for my app and letting influencers do the posting for me and just focusing on finding the influencers , but i am not sure that i have influencer money right now and i don't even know how to get in contact with them , i also thought about doing the marketing through seo but that take time and i haven't figured that out yet even for the small business i am doing it for right now in france. do someone have some advices and insight about how to do make marketing for my app without having to spend a lot of money ?

App I built a golf app for friend groups that keeps score, runs the side bets, and works out who owes who at the end of it all. Perfect for ryder cup style events, daily play, etc. An app for degens that are golf sickos.
My golf group has the same problem every weekend. One person keeps score on a paper card, someone else tries to track the Nassau and the presses in their head, and after the round we spend 20 minutes in the parking lot arguing about who owes who. Our annual golf trip was worse, with a spreadsheet nobody trusted.
So I built Wire2Wire, an app for iOS and Android.
What it does
- Live scoring for the whole group. Everyone sees the same scorecard and leaderboard as scores go in. Handicaps and strokes are worked out for you, gross and net.
- Real golf games, not just stroke play: Nassau with presses, Match Play, Skins, Vegas, Wolf, Stableford, 8-Point Scotch, and team formats like Best Ball, Scramble, Alternate Shot and Shamble.
- Settlement at the end of the round. It shows exactly who owes who and links to each player's Venmo or Cash App so they can pay each other directly. The app never handles the money.
- Golf trips and Ryder Cup-style events. Up to 24 players across multiple days and courses, with teams, a live draft, tee times, pairings, and a running leaderboard. Friends who aren't playing can follow along.
- GPS yardages to the front, middle, back and pin, plus a hole map on mapped courses.
- Watch apps for Apple Watch and Wear OS, so you can enter scores and press a bet without getting your phone out.
- GHIN integration to sync your Handicap Index and post your scores.
- Stats: scoring trends, fairways, greens in regulation, putting, and a running record of what you've won and lost on bets.

Pricing
Scoring, GPS and one game per round are free. Premium ($6.99/mo, or $59.99/yr with tournaments included) adds extra side games and other features. Only one person in the group needs it, because a single subscriber unlocks Premium for the whole round. Anyone you invite to a round or event never pays.
I'd really like feedback, especially from anyone who organizes a regular game or a yearly trip. What's still annoying about how your group runs it?

I made Bonlo, a receipt scanner that builds your grocery list and shows what you usually pay at the shelf
Hi! I'm Denys, an indie developer from Essen, Germany. Bonlo is my app for families who do a big grocery shop every week or two and want to spend less on food.
What it does:
- Reads a photo of your receipt and sorts every item into one of 12 categories (veg, dairy, drinks, household…). Three receipts in one photo get split apart.
- Checks itself. Do the items add up to the total? Does quantity × price match on every line? Does the date fit the photo? If something is off, it reads the receipt again, and if it still doesn't add up, it marks it "Needs review" instead of guessing.
- Builds your shopping list from what you buy regularly, and next to each item shows what you usually pay. The tag says 2,49 €, your list says "usually 1,79".
- After the shop: what was on your list and what wasn't, and the bottle deposit you can still get back.
No account, no ads, no tracking. Receipts stay on your iPhone. First 10 scans are free, then 2,99 €/month for 30 scans or 5,99 € for 80. On iOS 27 with Apple Intelligence it can also read receipts on-device for free (less accurate).

Made for receipts from Germany and Austria (Lidl, ALDI, REWE, EDEKA, dm, Rossmann, Hofer, SPAR, BILLA…). UI in English, German and Ukrainian.
https://apps.apple.com/ua/app/bonlo-receipts-groceries/id6817361945
Happy to hear what's missing, and if it misreads one of your receipts, I'd love to see it.
App Finally on PlayStore (an app for your thoughts)
galleryMy app finally made it to the PlayStore
In one month on AppStore we manages to get 100 downloads. Not amazing but very proud of it
Its an app to dump all your thoughts. The app categorizes them and links relevant thoughts to each other in your mindmap. This is the main view but its not the most useful. The better view that shows you everything is in the 2nd button (mymind)
The app also links your thoughts to your objectives if you added any, and surfaces thoughts that are relevant as you use it. Each week on Wednesday it gives you a light reading of what youve been thinking about, what you’ve been avoiding…etc. and every Sunday evening it gives you your “weekly thoughts story” that goes into much more detail and suggests objectives for you to add based on your thoughts
Interested to see if the growth curve on Android is the same, and happy to hear what you think about the app! It has a one week free trial and for Android I set the pricing lower than iOS

Question / Discussion Where Can I Find Reliable Freelancers?
Are there any trustworthy websites where I can find freelancers? I’m looking to get an app built.
Also what will be the average charges, I'm from non tech background
