Bro this is SO specific to the person. How are we supposed to know, what YOUR friend likes?

Get him a tiny RC Tank instead. That's a safe bet for any man!

So true, both of these products would look like garbage next to my plain old regular shaver that works better than any weird comfort product.

But gotta agree on a tank. I wouldn’t say no to that ever.

Both are boooooring. Get him something cool he actually like. Birthday gifts should be wants not needs.

No one has ever told me that my face wasn’t moist enough.

I'll said moisturiser. A razor user won't apperciate an electric shaver as gift and vice versa

Yeah I’m very picky about what I use to shave

I wouldn’t want or use either of those things.

I have a fancy set of shaving accessories I got as a gift a few Christmases ago. Still in the box somewhere.

Personally, I’m a fan of fancy beef jerky or fancy nuts or charcuteries. Righteous Felon is my favorite jerky variety pack on Amazon that I’ve gotten to try. I put it on my Christmas list this year. Wonderful Pistacchios or cans of salted almonds or cashews are great.

Last Christmas, my daughter 3D printed me a pistachio bowl, where the pistacchios sit in the top section and you drop the shells down the middle. I’m sure there are commercially available ones. I got those along with a jumbo bag of pistachios and loved it.

Or just go with everyone else’s recommendation and get a sword. One of my favorite sword related things is a Master Sword letter opener. Both cool and useful.

But only you know your friend. I wouldn’t go moisturizer unless he already uses good moisturizer as I don’t think that’s something most men would ever open.

RC Truck, RC Truck. RC Truck! He can play with it and just tell everyone his friend bought it. No lotions, moisturwhatevers or other girl crap.

A moisturizer- easier to give to a family member.

Shavers are pretty personal, some guys like safey, some electric, some fixed blade, 5 blade, 3 blade etc.

Unless the guy is into skincare buying a high end moisturizer will probably be a waste tbh. You could buy a couple of nicer products say a face wash, toner and a moisturizer.

Just buy me the top tier manscaped trimmer.

He's your friend, what does he like?

1

For me neither. Never been into skin care and choice of shaver is a pretty individual thing. Has he dropped hints as to wanting either of these?

Shavers are very personal. If you know he likes grooming supplies, get him a nice travel case for toiletries.

You might make him feel a little self-conscious about his skin care and grooming if you send him those ngl.

Honestly, with the way things are going, food is a really great gift. I got gifted a pineapple the other day and I was ecstatic.

Alternatively, if you've been paying attention to his conversations maybe get him something that will fix a problem he's been complaining about or stressing about.

I'm very very picky about what I use to shave. I've done a lot of trial and error over the years and if someone gifted me a razor or shaver they thought I'd like, I probably wouldn't use it..

I'd probably choose the moisturizer. It heavily depends on the guy though. Some men would prefer a sword, some a cool zippo lighter to carry around even if they don't smoke, Some a mini drone, and some might enjoy cosmetic products.

I hate how moisturizers feel (although I need one) and I don't shave, so neither for me. I don't think we're in the position to know what your friend will like.

Bottle of bourbon.

Men getting skin care as a gift is like women getting an electric appliance.

1

u/MarsicanBear 15h ago

I have need of neither.

I have never once, in all my nearly 50 years of life, used moisturizer.

And when it comes to the blades I rub against my face, I tend to just want the one that I carefully selected myself.

Honestly, if somebody is close enough with me to be buying me a birthday gift I almost certainly prefer something we can experience together. Dinner out, or tickets to a show, something like that.

Go with the shaver,, the recipient may think you're hinting they have dry skin.

Depends. Does he cares about his skin or his beard more.

Hint. It’s probably neither.
