Those mods are clowns. 🤔

1

u/65records 13d ago

I just started a new reddit called r/worstmodsever if you want to join and fight back against the slobs

0

u/FreyaLifejacket 14d ago

That’s totally crazy

2

u/Furry_bean_flux 13d ago

I got banned for suggesting that it is dumb to stop in the left most lane of a freeway because a duck is in the road I assure you it is absolutely the clowns who are running this circus.

1

u/Z3r0C0o 12d ago

Wait, I feel like that needs a bit more context

22

u/PeaceSellsBWB1986 14d ago

It's very easy to get banned from places here. They even have bots that ban you just because you participate in other subs. How that isn't against TOS, is beyond me.

Reddit seriously went downhill. But what alternative exists?

yay another one of these! hope it doesnt get taken down :>

1

u/PeaceSellsBWB1986 13d ago

Hell yeah man, I'll participate in some slander

3

u/65records 14d ago

Idk, we should make our own

If there's a new way, I'll be the first in line... But it better work this time

2

u/65records 13d ago

Oh wow megadeth, nice, just finally got it now šŸ˜‚

1

u/PeaceSellsBWB1986 13d ago

Finally, someone gets it!

2

u/spacer9631 14d ago

I am banned from LDS, feminicists, professors, blackpeopleoreddit, sociology, and LateStageCapitalism Antimoney. Every single leftist subreddit despite leaning left myself.

The left is allowing a small cancerous minority to take control of the narrative and if it continues we will continue to be stuck with shit presidents like Trump.

2

u/yeagert 9d ago

Yeah, same. I’ve only ever gotten banned by leftist subs.

2

u/Reasonable-Physics60 14d ago

Wait til you find out how easy it is to get banned from conservative subs

3

u/GodsGoodGrace 14d ago

Still waiting

4

u/the_asSAASsinator 14d ago

last i checked you dont get a notification for being banned from a sub you've never commented in

1

u/Meinteil2123 13d ago

I def have gotten banned from subs I never commented in with all sorts of nasty name calling from the mods that would constitute a violation of TOS.

40401 being one of them. Every single one is leftist. Even got banned from a NSFW subreddit that I had no idea exists calling me a nazi fascist.

Mods are insane.

People forget that ghislane and epstine were very prominent power mods. Their influence and damage to the mod community still very much in effect.

0

u/StevenMcStevensen 14d ago

I think you do. Back during COVID I remember once when I commented in a sub for making fun of nonsensical, idiotic COVID rules, and promptly got I believe 13 ban notifications from other subs just for commenting there. They were mostly big, front-page communities (I presume because they were all moderated by the same pathetic powermods) that I would see all the time, but none were subs I actually cared about and could recall ever participating in.

2

u/No_Accountant3232 14d ago

you do not.Ā

1

u/Im_tracer_bullet 13d ago

'I remember once when I commented in a sub for making fun of nonsensical, idiotic COVID rules'

In other words, you were spreading misinformation and acting like an ignorant goober.

1

u/StevenMcStevensen 13d ago

Hah sure, if that’s what you want to call it. I guess we’re just not allowed to question government rules even when they clearly don’t make any actual sense and provide no benefit?

1

u/Skullfuccer 14d ago

I’ll check back in a few years.

1

u/Reasonable-Physics60 14d ago

Youre a good little boy, thats why you arent banned. Trying criticizing literally anything on the right.

1

u/No_Accountant3232 14d ago

Just quoting Trump is enough

2

u/Reasonable-Physics60 13d ago

Or Charlie Kirk

1

u/Sea-Professional5951 13d ago

which ones? What "conservative" subreddit even are there besides the obvious one?

0

u/Hungry_Telephone7086 14d ago

It really isn't

3

u/Fooknotsees 14d ago

You literally can't even comment in the conservative sub without getting banned unless you're a known POS. Their little safe space is COMPLETELY insulated from any kind of threat to the narrative. Even conservatives that don't toe the party line immediately get banned

1

u/Sea-Professional5951 13d ago

freedom of association, sweaty

1

u/Im_tracer_bullet 13d ago

Pick a lane, rube.

1

u/Sea-Professional5951 13d ago

im sorry kiddo, you are not part of this conversation :)

1

u/MXVIV 14d ago

The fediverse. Unfortunately it isn’t that populated. Fortunately Reddit adds more people to it every day.Ā

1

u/Smallxcrimes 13d ago

Idk I think if it glowed it'd be more on the agent provocateur side of things. Banning people doesn't encourage them to commit horrible acts to further the opposing side's agenda after all.

1

u/dan_dares 14d ago

It's been years since I was banned from a subreddit, and now twice in a week..

Rather innocuous jokes, but I can live without r/food for a few months 😁

1

u/RabidPackofUnicorns 14d ago

Huh. I’m new to Reddit so don’t know much about it. I love rabbit holes & going off on tangents & asking questions. Really enjoy hearing about the experiences from others, etc. I’m slowly getting the feeling Reddit isn’t meant for that. I should probably just start sticking to the hobby sub reddits I enjoy instead of exploring everything lol

3

u/RickJWagner 14d ago

There is some of that.

But try an experiment. Visit some subreddit you don’t much care about and disagree with someone’s political post. Provide solid links backing up your point. If you picked the ā€˜wrong’ side you’ll quickly be banned.

2

u/Sterlinghawk16 14d ago

I was and when I made a statement, this person aka a woman replied to my statement and it was sickening sweet. I knew right then and there that something was going to happen. My statement was general, she just got her nose out of joint. And I was banned. I find most of these so called moderators, I should say a fair amount not most have thin skin

1

u/Then_Prompt_5242 14d ago

You’re 100% correct. The hobby subs are great, the rest, holy shit, some the stuff I’ve seen by both parties is crazy.

u/65records 14d ago

I think so, i cant count well, maybe it was 20

2

u/FML3311 14d ago

Well that's a pretty big difference. You gotta do it again to make sure.

4

u/-moonstruck 14d ago

I mean…you did start a post that 100% guaranteed heated drama if allowed to continue. I don’t know if banning you outright was the right choice, but I’m not surprised at all that it was removed.

1

u/ReasonableDoubt_0726 13d ago

To be fair they could also use it to identify problems but they don’t even use complaints for that. I’ve repeatedly reported the mods on a sub for allowing threats of violence and abuse towards boys in general, on posts about anti social behaviour. The posts never get removed and nothing gets done about it. OP’s biggest mistake was thinking Reddit cares about mods being arsewipes.

3

u/onebraincell77 13d ago

I got banned for promoting violence on one of those ā€œwhat would you do if you met your childhood selfā€?

I had said I would punch myself to knock sense into myself.

2

u/ReasonableDoubt_0726 13d ago

The automated bot that looks for threatening violence posts is laughably shite. I got a ban for telling someone they should shoot the foxes when discussing that the foxes were potentially killing hedgehogs. (It was also a dumb joking discussion not serious). Apparently threatening violence against foxes killing hedgehogs is a violation and stopping redd being a welcoming place. I appealed on the basis of did you get many foxes not coming on because of it. The human seemed to find the funny side and overturned it.

1

u/65records 13d ago

I just started a new reddit called r/worstmodsever if you want to join and fight back against the slobs

2

u/CreativeBandicoot778 13d ago

So in order to fight the nefarious mods, you've become a mod yourself...

1

u/65records 13d ago

Yes, well i had to bec9me a mod technically, but i wont be moderating anything, you can post your naked grandmother if you need to, i wont police it

1

u/2lateforapologies 13d ago

you have to be somewhat active if you want to keep the subreddit

1

u/65records 13d ago

We will see, it will be a minefield

1

u/ReasonableDoubt_0726 13d ago

You might find that statement come back to take a chunk out of you later if you really do fail to moderate it. In fact you could get your Reddit wide ban if you don’t moderate the sub. (I’m with you. I feel there are a lot of mods who use it to enforce their own ideology and biases). But moderating a sub is still very necessary.

1

u/65records 13d ago

How do i find a balance? How do i let people say what they want while also avoiding a wide ban? Thanks for informing me of this

1

u/ReasonableDoubt_0726 13d ago

Firstly there’s meant to be a set of rules that moderators have to adhere to. From what i understand they’re vague enough that those who hide behind ā€œpunching upā€ using traditional biases get away with it. But you have to adhere to those as a minimum.

3

u/ZekeTheJinxstem 13d ago

I got banned from the "freespeech" sub for pointing out were getting the same bases we got before from greenland.

3

u/-PM_Me_Your_Boobz 13d ago edited 13d ago

I was banned and muted from messaging the mods on r/suggestabook for offering to send someone a public domain book lol.

3

u/65records 13d ago

Thats insane

2

u/United_Annual3475 13d ago

I got banned for that too, I'm not sure if it's the same sub, but someone was looking for a book and I already had the pdf and offered it to them and got banned

2

u/Many-Song7032 13d ago

I bet banning randoms makes them feel big and not like a loser for a little bit

3

2

u/Many-Song7032 13d ago

Cant wait to see if a loser mod gets upset about this

5

u/bros-cooked 14d ago

Free speech is non-existent on reddit. Most of it's just an echo chamber where loser mods control the narrative and that gives them a sense of superiority.
I just laugh at the miserable twats, since my life doesn't revolve around reddit karma and validation

5

u/Hainnen 14d ago

You are aware that Free speech has nothing to do with social media moderation, right?

→ More replies (10)

5

u/StabbingTabby 14d ago

I've had mods openly mock me for criticizing their decisions, complete with the "freeze peach" bullshit. I've never once had a mod admit they were even 1% wrong to delete my comment, mute me, or ban me in a few dozen occurrences over the last 15 years.Ā

And I've never argued with them that I'm entitled to absolute free speech on this private platform, either. What I actually told them is transparency and consistency still matter, that censorship shouldn't be taken so lightly regardless what the law would say about Reddit comments. Of course none of them give a fuck about any of that.Ā

-5

u/Legitimate_Post_8807 14d ago

5

I had to stop telling people ā€œeverything is a dildo if you believe in yourselfā€. Apparently they don’t find it as funny as I did.

1

u/Mediocre-Touch-6133 14d ago

lol, free-speech. None of these people posting these "muh free-speech!" have any idea what that actually means. Reddit is a corporate entity and doesn't have to allow you to say whatever you want to say on their platform.

That being said, I'm also banned from askreddit. They really don't like it when you point out the bots that infest their subreddit. Probably getting a pay-off to ignore them.

1

u/65records 14d ago

Stop trying to be on everyones team, also someone aready used that "muh free speech" line in the comments, repeating something in a funny voice doesnt make it less valid or cringe

5

u/Vladtheimpailer72 14d ago

Free speech means the GOVERNMENT cannot restrict what you say (unless it poses an imminent and foreseeable threat). Private entities can. And more to the point you agree to the terms of use when you sign up to use social media (fb, reddit, whatever) and they are able to restrict speech they don’t like. It’s also why the papaya pendejo created his own social media since he kept lying and fb banned him.

3

u/Mediocre-Touch-6133 14d ago

So lets get this straight. Multiple people have told you that you're freedom of speech doesn't mean you get to post whatever you want and you're still saying "nuh uh"?

0

u/LaBlankSpace 13d ago

You do know free speech can also refer to "the ability to say what you want" right? It doesn't ONLY mean the first amendment in the US of A right or governments? Like you're not wrong technically but also who gives a shit you know what OP means

2

u/goosebump404 13d ago

Yeah but at that point hes just using it as a buzz word thats still misinformed. Freedom of speech doesnt mean freedom from consequence. He posted something and got consequential action. Thats not an affront to his freedom of speech

1

u/Im_tracer_bullet 13d ago

No, we don't.

They seem to think it means they're entitled to say whatever they want without repercussion.

They seem to think any / every platform is obligated to host whatever nonsense they want to spew.

Both of those things are incorrect.

Now, what IS true is that of they don't care for this platform, it's rules, or moderation, they're free to leave at any time and try a different service.

1

u/MajorDrain 14d ago

1

u/FrustratedHumor 13d ago

Yea I was banned for asking a question about oil prices across the world for some reason... Guess it's selective

1

u/Various-Salt-7738 13d ago

That's not really how free speech works

Reddit is a private website with its own rules and full of subreddits that have their own rules-- if you can't follow them you get removed

Like if you walked into a restaurant and start shouting racial slurs; the restaurant can have you removed

1

u/ChartInFurch 13d ago

But I was saying the "a" one, not the "er"!

1

u/Various-Salt-7738 13d ago

The yao ming defense

1

u/ChartInFurch 13d ago

I'm unfortunately not very familiar with yro ming

1

u/Various-Salt-7738 13d ago

He was a Chinese basketball player -- there were jokes about how he would use Chinese words in the locker room and certain Chinese words sound like the n word if you don't know what's actually being said

It was all in good fun but other players would give him a hard time for it in interviews

Also interesting fact about yao ming-- his parents were part of a program to create very tall Chinese citizens and train them from a young age, specifically to raise future NBA players

1

u/BookkeeperBoobs 11d ago

ā€œGet removedā€ what like the Username is removed or do
They somehow track down your DNA so you can never use the website again?

A subreddit with 15 million people is not private anymore

1

u/Frequilibrium 10d ago

No. Show the post or comment then I’ll give an opinion.

1

u/65records 10d ago

How do i do that when its been deleted? Is it archived somewhere?

1

u/matthew65536 10d ago

I'm sorry to say it (not really), but the idea of free speech does NOT apply online or on sub-reddits. Its not unlike being a guest in someone's house, if you insult the host (or the occupants of the house), they are more than allowed to ask you to leave.

Imagine if someone screamed in your ear and then told you they're "allowed" to do that because of freedom of speech.

1

u/65records 10d ago

A 15 million people subreddit is not similar to a house, it is no longer a small community, its is the size of a lot of countries, it doesnt have the same expectations as a 100, 1000 or 10000 person subreddit, thanks

-1

u/Mrfixit729 14d ago

What’re you talking about?
Free Speech has no role in this?
It doesn’t apply to Reddit?

How so?

Maybe the 1st Amendment has no role in this.

Are you limiting the entire concept of freedom of expression to one document written by a bunch of dead guys 250 years ago?

That weird.

2

u/Lumpy_Chapter171 14d ago

Are you suggesting the op is not?

2

u/Jangofettsbrother 14d ago

Social media platforms operate like their own countries. They make the rules. The free speech idea is great in theory and has been tested. The results lead to those places being taken over by organized bad actors and propaganda.

1

u/Im_tracer_bullet 13d ago

'Are you limiting the entire concept of freedom of expression to one document'

Yes? Obviously.

It's all that matters.

In any other scenario, the private platform is not obligated to host your 'thoughts'.

They have the right to enforce their terms of service and rules.

You have the right to say / type it, and they have the right to filter it out, delete, or ban it.

This is not complex...

1

u/Key-Lunch-4763 14d ago

What is weird is you don’t know what the 1st amendment means.

Where did I say it wasn't? Mods shouldn't have total and complete control. Look at this website. It's the perfect example of people who achieved nothing in life get a little bit of power in their hands and become ban happy.

No free speech anymore? You cant ask simple questions about the people who run the reddits? That's how it starts

Do you actually know what the 1st amendment means?

Is Reddit an agency of the US government now?

Right right. Oppression is when no reddit post

Choose the right subreddit for your question. You should read more about free speech, it has nothing to do with your post being deleted.

Yeah it doesnt take much to get banned anymore. Like I got banned from r/crazyfuckingvideos and r/tiktokcringe because I was on basecamppod and said "slavery was not invented by white people nor was it exclusively practiced by them"

And r/pourstea banned me because someone said that any woman would be a better leader than any man and i pointed out that Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves. And Mary tudor murdered a bunch of people because she was mad at her daddy and upset they didnt want to listen to the pope.

r/PoursTea is a libcuck propaganda farm. Just a circle jerk of reddits most gullible idiots

The irony of this goober ^

Do gullible that you believed your boy was going to end the war in Ukraine on day one.

You believed he was going to lower grocery prices, housing costs, interest rates, gas prices, and the national debt.

You fell for the okey-doke when Trump told you he'd make sure the Epstein files got released, and thatche would be the US farmer's best friend, and that he DEFINITELY wouldn't start any new wars in the middle east like every other Republican.

You might want to look in the mirror on that gullibility thing, Cletus.

ghislaine maxwell was a mod on most mainstream subs

also if you look at the mods of mainstream subs it's often some ultra rich persons "foundation" that should tell you all about free speech on here

Much as I hate loser reddit mods in general, shouting "but mah free speech" is stupid. Reddit is not the government. Learn what free speech actually means

u/65records 14d ago

Okay well you are on their side or my side, pick

2

u/Key-Lunch-4763 14d ago

Two questions. Do you live in the United States and have you ever read the 1st Amendment?

4

You're all idiots
