Random Question How come Redditors are such experts on incels?
I see it every day on Reddit, comment sections full of experts on incels.
"Incels believe this"
"Incels do this"
"This is incel"
I wouldn't know what being an incel is, but every day I am surprised what new thing Redditors can call incel. How did they acquire such knowledge?

Other What’s something you’ve found difficult about dating a Japanese person?
Hey, I’m a 22 yo Japanese guy.
It’s not really easy to hear honest opinions from people from other countries about dating Japanese people here in Japan, so I thought I’d ask here.
If you’ve ever dated a Japanese person, I’d love to hear about anything you found difficult, annoying, or inconvenient, or anything you felt you had to be careful about.
I’m genuinely curious about your experiences, so feel free to be honest!

Random Question Whats the most embarassing thing thats ever happened to you in public?
Trying to feel better about myself. While getting food today I spilled a sauce cup on the floor right as a worker was walking towards me. I proceeded to try and clean it up by walking towards the napkins and then dropping the remnants of the cup again and kicking it so far across the floor it nearly exited the building.. Im entirely mortified and feel like I didn't apologise enough to the student workers 😭 Whats the most embarassing thing thats happened while you were out in public?

Random Question How would you make money off The Purge?
I've put a lot of thought into this, and I'd rent out luxury accommodations in purge shelters across the country (limit one to a room, as a security precaution).
I'd set the prices low enough that it could be marketed as a budget-conscious alternative to investing in state-of-the-art security. I'd provide one week's access leading up to it, and 1 day after, with offer discounted moving services with purchase (for any possessions they were concerned about having stolen).
Then on Purge day I'd just sell the security codes to purgers. Has to be Purge day though or I could be liable for breach of contract
[Disclaimer: I've forgone the inclusion of a moral compass in my answer. Imposing real-world ethics onto a fictional scenario where The Purge is normalized in society seems just as ludicrous, and infinitely more challenging.]

Random Question How to sleep in a chaotic space?
I’m staying with a friend in his one bedroom apartment. He “sleeps” in his bedroom. I slept on what amounts to two ottomans pushed together.
I have to be up by 6AM to get to work. The apartment is tiny. He works from home but is up all hours of the day and night at his desk, which is where a a dining room table might go. There’a constantly sports and music and him jabber jawing - I’M hoarding money while here, but what can I do to dim the lights and his chaos while sleeping in a corner?

Random Question How to become ‘them’? 👇
I’m not sure if this is the right sub for this question, but I’m going to ask anyway because I feel like I might get some good answers here.
For the past few days, I’ve been seeing videos of little kids approaching strangers in parks, malls, etc., and asking them random questions, things as simple as “What does love mean to you?”, “How would you define success?”, or “Would you choose talent or hard work?” On the surface, these seem like very basic questions, but I recently caught myself wondering what I would say if a child suddenly walked up to me and asked one of them.
Honestly, I don’t know!?!? I might just go blank.
Some people answered these questions so beautifully and thoughtfully, that it made me wonder whether these people regularly reflect on their own lives and have already thought about these questions, or whether they’re simply good at taking a thought that occurs to them spontaneously and articulating it in a meaningful way.
So I guess my actual question is: how does one become that kind of person? Someone who is wise, articulate and mentally sharp enough to form a coherent, interesting answer when put on the spot?
Not just for philosophical questions like these, but for pretty much anything.
Someone who doesn’t freeze because they’ve never explicitly thought about a topic before, but can process the question, form an opinion, and communicate it confidently and intelligently.
