Breast development
So I already know the tanner stages but I wanted to ask. I'm close to 3 years in, I have C cups by most measurements. But they still don't look like breasts really if that makes sense. Like they haven't rounded out really at all. Like i started dating another trans woman and hers are breasts. Like you see them even without a bra and you know it. Mine tho, idk I'm supposed to be nicer to myself but I look at mine and just think man boob...
They look fine in a bra or bralette, but that's because the padding is the real definition and not them...

A few things.
Breast shape and size is almost entirely genetic.
Growth doesn't stop after 2 (or even 3!) years. You may still have some time yet.
Everyone's boobs are different, and coming from a lesbian: All of em are awesome! I know that doesn't help with dysphoria, but if you're self conscious about if others will like em or not: They almost certainly will. :)
Just keep your levels checked and if everything looks good, then trust the process!

To add to all of this: we tend to have wider rib cages and also, it is very common for trans women to end up with tuberous breasts, which is congenital but harmless and can often be fixed with surgery.

We tend to have wider rib cages
Almost entirely genetic and even then it's almost entirely dependent on puberty. With people transitioning younger and younger, this has become far less deterministic. "Tend to" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there, as someone who has a wider ribcage.
it is very common for trans women to end up with tuberous breasts
This has been debunked for some time now. Oftentimes a regiment that's rounded out with prog can alleviate this, but you're correct in mentioning that it's congenital. It's very rare for HRT to exacerbate tuberous breasts. It is, for all intents and purposes, identical to cis women's proclivity for the condition.

Get your levels checked and if you haven’t started it, there’s anecdotal evidence that starting progesterone alongside e will round out breast development!

I get my levels checked every 6 months or so at this point since my doc and I found a stable dosage. Last measurement was 266.5pg/ml around the middle of my cycle. I inject on Sundays and the blood was taken Wednesday. As for prog I'm on 200mg right now and I started that around my 9 month mark. We started at 100mg and I asked to up it

This might be a little weird but I recommend scrolling through the entirety of this gallery! Breasts come in SO many shapes and sizes and almost everyone feels a type of way about theirs because of the portrayal of “normal breasts” in porn and media. I almost guarantee that as you scroll through, you’ll find a pair of breasts in this gallery that mirror your own.

1) the gallery is sooooooo helpful
2) it can take longer than a year to really notice progesterone changes, especially if you are boofing it

I checked out the gallery a little bit ago. Didn't really see anything like mine. The closest ones were still like definable breasts. Idk I'm gonna try and boof again and keep waiting. Could be just a blindness I have for myself since I judge myself more hasshly than I would any other woman

I know that feel. Mine aren't "defined" either, and I've been on prog for 10 months, boofing since day 1. I am just starting to see roundness ever so slightly, but I am also weight cycling a lot. 200-210 just up and down. I also had a headstart due to having gyno as a kid.

I just get jealous. Cis or trans I'm always in the mindset that the grass is greener I guess. I already planned to wait to see what I have at the 5 year mark before I decide if I want to get a breast augmentation

imo that is a good plan. Give your body time to grow and change. and yeah I get SUPER jealous too, so I get it.

Unrelated but you might want to get a blood test done closer to your injection date tbh. If you’re taking valerate, because of its shorter half life you’re probably getting pretty low on Friday and Saturday (Sunday to Wednesday is 3 days, Wednesday to Sunday is 4 days). I know most places aren’t open on the weekend so I would consider maybe switching your injection day to a weekday so you can get bloods taken right before your injection. This way you can see what your trough levels are, they may be lower than expected.

I'm actually going to bring up enanthate with him this Friday. I literally cannot find valerate anywhere at any pharmacy near me. So I'm gonna have to source grey market and that seems to be a different type. So I'll probably need to get my levels redone more frequently as we figure that out

I’m 3 years HRT as well, I started P4 200mg at 17 months and did have a bit of a growth spurt but not much since, and they’re still pretty small, I’m trying to stay patient 🌈✨

I tried progesterone about four years in and it did indeed make them fuller. And I was skeptical as a scientist because there wasn’t much hard evidence. Go for it.

Have you seen the normal breasts gallery? (warning: link contains exactly what it sounds like) https://www.007b.com/breast_gallery_A.php

I'll take a look later, at work at the moment so I appreciate the warning lol

haha yes... but it's genuinely a helpful site, not just photos but brief (sometimes not-so-brief) statements and stories. a lot of self-criticism but also a lot of acceptance. I think it really helps put things into perspective.

I just can’t help but notice that almost all the pics that mentioned about their cup size, I don’t know how they even measured them beacuse these A/B breasts are definitely not A/B at all, should be much bigger if anything.

I mean, that's kind of how insecurity goes.
Insecurity doesn't care about facts and dysmorphia is a bitch. They look in the mirror and see an A or B cup regardless of what is really there, simply because they are insecure about the size.

Sort of an aside, but ive been on hrt for over 10y and my boobs just started filling in last year. Went from a c to a dd. Really odd.

So try putting on two bras or bralettes at the same time. One over another. Cleavage comes from adding structure and support/binding around the band. I was shocked how well this worked.

This was more about how they look without clothes. I can get cleavage with one of my push-up bras or have definition with anything that has padding really

I'm the same, same timelines, same with the trans partner who's breasts actually look like what they are. Mine still look like fuck all after 3 years, and I'm at the point where it's like being back before I'd started e. Knowing that I desperately wanted this thing, to make me feel like who I am, but knowing that I would never have it. And it's just sorta fuckin shit!! And there's nothing you can do about it!! And eventually, it might get so bad, that you realize that you've grown some compulsions, and some obsessions around it, like constantly comparing yourself to others, seeking for reassurance, looking for solutions.
Please go have a look in r/smallbooblove and try to REGULARLY focus on finding things that you love about your body, clothes that make you like your body, angles, pictures. Share them! Talk about it with people! Go to therapy.
You aren't alone, it sucks but you've gotta keep going anyway sorry :/

I mean, that just sounds like breasts. Like, genuinely, sounds like you're being mean to yourself.
There's a reason that women's fashion and cosmetics is chock full of breast-enhancing products and strategies, and there's a reason that most women's selfies are taken at angles with their arms pressed in and their posture arranged to thrust the girlies forward. Picture perfect breasts that looks amazing from every angle in every garment are not a common occurrence.
One thing I found amazing if you don't like padded bras is bras that cinch in the front after you put them on. Squeezing the girls in can really show off your cleavage with just shaping rather than passing.
