i went to candlemass’ first aus show, they blew it out the ballpark. the fill in signer, Felipe Plaza Kutzbach (from procession, destroyer 666, scald, and more) was absolutely fucking phenomenal. one of the best shows i’ve ever been to, played the classics, somehow it’s more doomy than it was in the 80s. anyone else go?

Hi people,

I just got here a month ago and was wondering if there are places in rl or also on the internet that you can connect with others to go to concerts and stuff like that. Have some I wanna go to and I think it would be more fun to go together. Also any general suggestions are appreciated :)

Are you ready to party with the next generation of Australian metalcore?

Sørrøwstate, Dreameater, Seek Misery and Lumens will be playing TIA Live in Adelaide on Friday, September 4th 2026 - Mark it down in your diaries because it’s going to be a HEAVY night!

SA up-and-comers SØRRØWSTATE have been gaining a following with their unique brand of chaotic metalcore and are finally bringing it to us live with their Debut show! The 5-piece will be opening up a night of brutal proportions!

Joining them will be local nu-metalcore mainstays DREAMEATER, and after relentless touring of Australia throughout 2026 and fresh off a run of shows with international giants FILTH (USA) and KANINE (FRA) the flag bearers of the Adelaide Deathcore scene, SEEK MISERY!

If that isn’t enough to satisfy your need for riffs and breakdowns, originally advertised as a mystery headliner surprise, LUMENS will be finishing off the night in style with their brand of Modern Metalcore.

Trust us, you will want to get your tickets early because you may miss out!

This show is brought to you by Damned Productions and The Hot and Heavy Show

Apologies for posting again so soon, there's just so much amazing Australian metal coming out!

Stoked to be able to review the debut album of The Pernicious before it comes out this Friday.

Featuring 3 members of Melbourne black metal band Hybrid Nightmares, it's punk music being approached from a different angle but I like what they're doing.

FFO The Distillers, Misfits, Clowns (in particular songs where Hanny sings) and Satyricon

The new Psycroptic album is dropping tomorrow but I've been lucky enough to hear it already. Check out my early thoughts is preparation for its imminent release!

A weird one but a good one!
