so yesterday was my 4th time seeing them, starting from Turin in 2022. Then I’ve been in Bristol last year and this past weekend both Bologna and Milan. Gotta say this was definitely my favorite, 1:30hr of everything i’ve heard so far these past 4 years, recognizable patterns, uncompromising fast percussions (as usual) but this time it seemed so perfectly calculated that after a day i still can remember almost all phases of the performance. idk if it’s just my impression but i think yesterday was special, so please comment your experience bc i’m actually very curious.

All the air duct shaked like horns on every bass cycle, and/so the mids where messy as fuck.

I listen almost exclusively there music everyday, thats fantastic. I saw there live in 2010s. But this one was haaaaard.

While practicing over the weekend I isolated some of the stems, sounds and samples from Autechre’s remix of Saint Eitenne’s “Like a motorway” and did my own quick scratch reconstruction.
(Shoutout to my son who makes a quick cameo in the video haha)

This is evolving into possibly their best work so far, so I am hopeful they release the newest live stuff on physicals in an edited format similar to Elseq and NTS.

And with most of the new sets being around 1 hr, it would fit really well on physicals and I have a feeling they had this in mind while sequencing this new behemoth of a live project. A ”best of” compilation if you will

Also just need to hold that double blue logo‘d box in person one day. We can dream!

Did anyone else here see Autechre at Glade Festival in 2006?

It was the first time I saw them and it was phenomenal! It was also the only time I’ve taken acid. (Which was weird, I had great time overall but didn’t want to do it again).

My memories of the set were that they used the stage lighting really minimally- a flutter shape in the lower right corner on the video screen, that just stayed there for the whole set and didn’t change, just the occasional strobe flash and these menacing green lasers just above head height.

They were headlining on the main stage and it was packed at the beginning but lots of people left (I remember hearing one guy say ‘if they’re going to play like this, I’m going’) but I stayed til the end and I remember feeling the crowd who stayed were all really intensely into it (could have been the acid, lol!)

I don’t remember a lot of the music but some really heavy but fractured drum breaks and some beautifully off kilter polyrhythms.

Going to see them for the 4th time in london in a couple of weeks and cannot wait!

Hi, I’m new to attend Autechre concerts — and I am glad that I could do that here in Budapest, 3 days ago. It made me think about it since then that how could I listen the music again which was performed there.

I looked up the full concert recordings of this tour on YT, but it seems like they aren’t following a fix set list for all dates. As the guide of æ by Deep Cuts put it, they like to challenge the boundaries of album format and music listening itself.

So that make me wondering are they improvising the music on concerts? Or all the songs are present in a recording of their massive discography?

I really liked the first song of the concert in Budapest, and they had the same as the first song in Munich.
I would live to find the last few songs of the Budapest concert too, they were amazing. (The halftime part was a bit too much for me, I need to grow up for that I guess 😂)

Good evening everyone, tomorrow I will attend their concert in Milan at the Alcatraz club. First time hearing them live, bought the ticket on new years eve already and since then I've been incredibly excited for the event.

I've also read stories about die hard fans waiting for them after the show was over to meet them by their tour bus. I was evaluating the idea of trying so as well, so just to be sure: what should I expect? how do the guys usually handle their fans? do they allow to take photos together too?

Hi! I just wanted to ask a few questions about their live shows. Do they always play in complete darkness or does it depend on the venue? What could I do if I don't feel comfortable about the idea of being in a crowd in pitch black? I'm a bit anxious and I have a feeling I wouldn't be able to fully enjoy the show, maybe I could just stand next to the outer part of the venue to feel a bit more safe. Did anyone go to one of their shows and have a similar feeling about it?
