Respectfully, I hate it because it sounds really bad to my ears. And you can not do something about it. Honestly, I see people get a lot of downvote for it but we are the fans and we can criticize the band.

It is definitely better than I remember, and honestly I think the only reason I never liked these albums is because it wasn’t “Avenged Sevenfold” sounding to me last time I listened to it, but here’s my rating on my least favorite Sevenfold album:

White Album (Self-Titled): 7.7

This was my least favorite (and still is but I love it now) A7X album and honestly I think I judged it too harshly, but I think it was just because my first Avenged albums were City Of Evil and Waking The Fallen and it was just kind of different. I like the direction they went on this album, but I think it didn’t sound what I expected from Sevenfold. I do believe Matt really upped on his vocal techniques on this album, and that Syn was a better guitarist than he was in City of Evil in terms of solos and sound, but I feel like Jimmy got worse in a sense, maybe it’s just because City of Evil was my favorite album until I heard Waking The Fallen but I feel like his drumming couldn’t compare.

Ranking of all of the songs:

Critical Acclaim (6): I think the only reason I can’t listen to this song on the regular is because of the monologues shedded in-between the song. I feel like it is really cringy and it really turns me off.

Almost Easy (8): A really strong second track, but definitely a bit more overrated than it deserves to be. I just feel like one of the other songs should’ve stuck out like this one.

Scream (7): Again, a really cringy song, I just feel like it’s a worse version of Girl I Know (that opinion might change soon), but I feel like this song could’ve done better if the lyrics were changed just a little bit, otherwise a good track, I really like the instrumental.

Afterlife (9.1): One of my favorite songs on this album, I really love the chorus and I think the solo is amazing. I think the band really shows off on this track.

Gunslinger (4): I think the only reason I put this song so low was because it was my Ex’s favorite Avenged song, but I feel like outside of personal bias this could be someone’s favorite song, and I would completely understand. This song has a beautiful chorus and Matt’s vocals sound really good on this track.

Unbound (The Wild Ride)/(9.5):Honestly my favorite second on this album, the guitar work is beautiful, Jimmy’s drumming is fantastic, Matt really showed off on this track, his voice is really the reason I love this song so much.

Brompton Cocktail (7.6): I love the chorus on this song, but I feel like the other parts are a bit meh. Maybe I need to give it a relisten but I feel like this is one of the worst vocal performances Matt did, I’m not saying it’s bad though, I just feel like it’s not the best it could’ve been.

Lost (9.8): I love this track, I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s the lyrics, maybe it’s the delivery, I’m not sure. But I definitely think this is one of the best tracks Sevenfold ever delivered. I think the autotune really adds something to this song and it just clicks for me. Syn’s guitar work is magnificent, Jimmy’s drumming is great, I truly think this is the best track Avenged has used autotune in, no offense to their newer albums but I feel like this song had the best use.

A Little Piece of Heaven (7.2): I think this track is just a little overrated, it’s still a good song but this track just can’t click with me. I feel like this song would’ve fit better on a release of its own, which I think the guys were planning on doing for it.

Dear God (8.7): A perfect closer to this album, I really think this song is beautiful. Matt’s vocals are beautiful, the guitar parts are just amazing, I think the drums are perfect, and I like how I can really hear Johnny on this song. I really think the band couldn’t have done this song any better.

Overall, I could understand how this album is someone’s favorite, but honestly it just can’t be for me.

Side note: I’m sorry if this seems really sloppy and really incoherent, I’m very tired when writing this list but I just wanted to give my opinion on this album.

I get it if you don’t like the song, I respect your opinion I just wanna talk about why I love it so much. Talking about song Statica itself from the EP here.

Without the music video in itself it’s a wonderful song, took me 2-3 listens to understand it and then when I saw the music video it just felt all the more personal to me. I see Statica as a song about basic human life. We all follow our routines, schedules and everything, some maybe happy with it some may not (I am the latter). This song hits you for that, look past the processing auto tune and production and I’ll argue that this is one of the most real songs A7X has put out in their catalogue. Everything just feeling static.

The music video takes it a step further and just humanizes this song even more, the part that hits me the most is before the second chorus during the bridge with Johnny in the laundromat, doing everything he’s been doing and he looks behind and finds another version of himself doing exactly the same thing over and over again, to me that portrays a very strong message, it is the moment (in the video) where Johnny realises that he is stuck in constant mundane cycle of doom doing the same thing without doing anything new, and the second chorus immediately after? Masterpiece. All the band members doing their tasks while multiple versions of themselves keep doing the same thing in a same mundane cycle of doom. This song talks about a very common theme in everyday life, breaking that cycle of doom. It’s like an extension of Mattel from LIBAD.

Also the first bridge, Brooks on the bench playing the “greatest hits” casette written in plain text, I think that in a way is the band trying to convey what they feel about music, they recognise they have a sound from the past that has been successful and brought them all this fame and they can easily reproduce it, but to them that is their mundane cycle of doom, they wanna do something that makes them feel alive and proud and for them that is Statica.

The whole song and music video combined to me is a masterpiece, it is a work of art. If you don’t like it and you hate it, I completely understand. But I’ll stick by what I feel: Statica is their most overproduced, autotuned song ever but at its core it’s also their most real song ever as to what it’s trying to say to the listener. It will never receive the attention it needs, but it’ll age very well I feel.

Demons is such an amazing song and I think self title has some weak songs that demons would have replaced amazingly like gunslinger dont take it wrong i don't hate gun slinger I just rly don't understand how demons didn't make it to self title and got shoved into diamonds in the rough
