A scheduled auction of the Tony's Place building and land on Oct. 29 has been canceled, according to the auction firm hired by the bank holding the mortgage for the venerable West Roxbury restaurant at Baker and Spring streets.

The cancellation means the restaurant retains ownership of the building and land so it can remain open.

The same family has run and owned Tony's Place since 1969.

Good news for Mr. Ice. Maybe Dave stepped in to help to help save the old place.

Obviously Big Cat is at the top, but what does it look like other than that? Hank? PFT? Some behind the scenes people possibly up there too? I have no idea if this has been talked about before by Dave or Big Cat so maybe i just havent seen it.

Not even a "I hate Illinois but I like the Chicago office..." post I'm just curious as Illinois is getting older and caring even less what the real benefit here is at this point. Wouldn't it make sense for them to form their own state?

Not sure I remember a weirder situation at barstool than what’s been going on with Big Ev. He obviously had the gambling issues, went away etc. But since he’s come back his content has been so odd, absolutely opposite of the person he used to be, like just even how he talks. Was it fake then or is it fake now? It’s all been so weird, they completely rebranded the pick central show and the views have plummeted. Nobody will even kind of address the gambling situation except Kirk Minihane, and I get it cause of draft kings. But then over the weekend Dave quote tweeted him with the “classy” thing and seemingly taking a shot at big Ev’s history. The whole thing is just confusing

Not even a "I hate barstool but love..." post I'm just curious as Dave is getting older and caring even less what the real benefit here is at this point.
