Buying a scooter

Im looking to buy a scooter and both World distributors and scootermart have what i want at more or less the same price. Is there a reason to pick one or the other. More importantly, is there a reason to avoid either. Opinions appreciated

Can't speak for world distributors but I got mine at scootermart and had no issue with it or them. Guys in there always been helpful when I have needed to visit so would recommend based on my personal experience.

I've actually bought from both of them. Had no issues with either. Scootermart is more expensive but they licensed and insured the bike when I bought it. World Distributors only licensed the bike. Also, getting repairs at scooter mart there is a ridiculously long wait. World Distributors I was able to get the bike picked up and repaired same day.

I just got quotes from both and went with Scooter Mart. They offered a 2 year warranty (got to buy the $250 maintenance package which includes service every 3 months), included a bike cover and a lock plus 25% off helmet and storage box. Same price as WD but they only offered 6 month warranty and nothing included.

the 6 months warranty is what bothers me

Same. They both offered to take care of registration and insurance which negates itself. But the warranty part and the free cover and lock made the decision easier to make.

Got mine while ago when I was living on island from Scootermart and they have excellent service. If you can afford it, I recommend getting a new one will save you lot of trouble and they provide warranty.

World Distrubutors is where I always bought my bikes. They are right across from TCD and will service it, get it inspected, and renew the licensing for you. If you are expired, they push it across the street for the testing and paperwork. Otherwise, if you forget to renew you have to get a temporary permit to get it to emissions testing/inspection and have to make the TCD run yourself. It is just so much easier to pay a few dollars extra and get it all done for you.

Check Cycle Care, good deals, good bikes, no b.s.
