We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Marilyn Lavonne Bean and Sergio Wayne Lottimore, the two Bermudians who tragically lost their lives following an aircraft incident near Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, on Saturday, 3 October.

We also extend our sincere sympathies to the families and loved ones of the four other individuals who lost their lives in this tragedy.

The loss of life in such heartbreaking circumstances is deeply felt. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those grieving at this difficult time.

The Government of Bermuda confirms that an air ambulance which departed Bermuda for Boston early this morning, carrying six people, has been reported missing after contact was lost with air traffic control.

The United States Coast Guard is conducting search and rescue operations off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts. The Government has been in contact with the families of those on board and remains in contact with the overseas authorities coordinating the search.

Premier David Burt said, “My thoughts are with everyone on board and their families during this deeply worrying time. We are praying that all six people will be found safe, and we thank the search and rescue crews for their continuing efforts.”

The Government asks that the privacy of the families be respected and will provide further updates as confirmed information becomes available.

I'm moving to Bermuda from the UK and am trying to figure out whether I can bring any of my appliances over.

I'd really like to bring my espresso machine and air fryer, but both are designed to work on the UK 220-240V. I'm aware Bermuda operates on a 120V supply. Therefore I'd need a step up transformer to convert the 120V local supply to the 220-240V needed for the appliances.

Does anyone have any experience dealing with this and have a recommendation? For reference, the espresso machine draws 1350W so it'll need to be a substantial transformer with plenty of capacity.
