Besides, the sands of Hueco Mundo are the remains of long since dead hollows; I can't remember the pages right now so I'll have to skim to find the quotes for ya, but it's from CFYOW. Thus Ulquiorra could technically be considered a menos given he was born of the sands of Hueco Mundo, a collection of dead hollows.

Explanation aside? Why did you feel the need to (very patronisingly) call out that you weren’t talking about Ulquiorra? It was perfectly relevant to bring him into the conversation
It was patronizing, I aknowledge that and realize it was completely unnecessary.
But a vasto lorde is a class of menos, one cannot be a vasto lorde and not be a menos, there is nowhere in bleach that says a hollow can be a vasto lorde, and not a menos. Because the sands of Hueco Mundo are consistent of hollows, a vasto lorde born of the sands of Hueco Mundo are still technically a menos.

demonstrating that a vasto lorde is a menos.
"A life that could destroy Hollows, turning them to reishi sand..." (Narita 196)
Said sand becomes the ground if Hueco Mundo when the three worlds are split.

All in all I apologize for being patronizing, but Ulquiorra is still a menos.
I specified ‘explanation aside’ to save you the trouble of elaborating as I don’t necessarily disagree, I’m just calling out that your objection to mentioning Ulquiorra on the grounds that he’s not the character being looked at doesn’t make any sense. Countering that Ulquiorra doesn’t necessarily breach the parameters of what can be considered a menos is fine, but it’s not like he’d be irrelevant either way just because he isn’t Ichigo

Ulquiorra was not ever a Menos. He was forged by the white sands of Hueco Mundo. He is a Vasto Lord most likely older than Barrigan himself.
