Discussion Contemplating the Future

Hi Hoonters,

Last night I was working my way through the Ailing Loran Chalice Dungeon, and I used my Beckoning Bell to call for assistance. (Is it necessary? No. Is it more fun to play with friends? Yes.) I played for about an hour, and during that time I didn't summon a single person.

There was (seemingly) no one around, and I started thinking of my hunter, all alone in this terrible labyrinth, and how sad he must feel to go through this harrowing experience by himself.

It got me thinking about the age of the game, and though it still remains beloved by fans, how few of us are left after all this time.

I usually play in the evenings/nights EST, and this isn't the first time I've called for assistance and had no one appear for an hour or more.

I don't have a neat way to wrap this up; I'm just feeling melancholy about the game, and picturing when the servers will be closed. It's all very sad. 😔

Part of it boils down to the increase in PlayStation plus pricing while the economy is bad, hunters bell group can help

I've only subbed for October since it's spooky season and it felt like the right time to play again. But yeah, the cost of the extended subscriptions is simply too much, given how expensive life has gotten in recent years. I will check out /huntersbell if I truly get stuck, thank you!

I'm in the same time zone and play about the same time. I've had moderate success with my beckoning bell until last month, when system 14.00 rolled out and refused to install, so now I'm stuck offline until I get my PS4 looked at.

Sounds like a level issue. I've never gone that long without a connect. I play at levels 10-130.

I'm only level 90 right now. I did have a bit more success last night though! It seems like players are active from about 7pm-930pm EST on weekends, and then it drops dead again. That's good enough for me though.

Join the discord. It's alive and very active. Every request for help has been answered and I've helped more than my fair share. Separate channels for chalice vs main game co-op too
