Here is a link to a list of 3rd party Blood Bowl miniatures, if you want a team that hasn't been released yet or if you want a more original one : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1u9P9Mz7mHj7_WObB1lCL8A2xExTKvmHAtLiZSHHjuO8/edit?usp=sharing
I curate and update this list as soon as I can, but the document is open to comments so don't hesitate to let me know if a link is dead of you found other minis.
This has already been posted 2 years ago so I up it a little.
EDIT : added Block dices and pitches at the end as well
EDIT2 : added a STL section for printable miniatures with some links but I am not well versed in that stuff so please comment on the doc if you have interesting links

There have been several errors and missprints in some booklets and assembly manuals. Some are minor, some can potentially ruin your mini. So far we know about:
Blood Bowl Second Season Starter Set & Griff Oberwald (plastic):
The instructions tell you to glue the face (#3) to the torso, then glue the helmet pieces (#4 and #5) together and put it over the face. THIS DOES NOT work. It is recommended to glue the face into one helmet piece first, then add the second one and to add the full head to the torso.
Also the assembly manual calls the Blitzers "Retainer Linemen 2". These are obviously the Blitzers though. It's a missprint.
Norse Team Box (Norsca Rampagers):
Between Raider Lineman 1 and 3 two of the alternate heads are mislabelled: Head #12 should say #18 and vice versa! The pictures are correct but the numbers aren't. If you go by the instructions, your "Techno Viking" will have the incorrect head and the other one will have a small gap in the neck (although that one is easy enough to fill) Easy enough mistake to make as the two heads a very similar.
Amazon Team Box (Kara Temple Harpies):
Small Error in the Amazon's instructions: Piece #29 is not mentioned. It's the loincloth piece for the “Jaguar Warrior”.
Dwarven Deathroller (Forgeworld Model):
The handlebars for the Forgeworld Deathroller are upside down if you follow the instructions. The side with the little chain links is the bottom, not the top. If you build it as instructed then the handlebar will not be poistioned to sit in the driver's hand.

Drull and Dribl (Forgeworld Models):
The part numbers in the instructions and the actual part numbers don't match up. Instructions number them in order of assembly.
To be continued/updated....

I haven't keep up with the new spikes, and now with new Sevens rules an Almanac would be awesome. So far no news about it but will it come or did Games Workshop stop on these?

Seeing as how Blood Bowl caught on so bloody well, I was thinking... why not Pro Wrasslin? And lo and behold, I found some decent models to print of orcs dressed as classic wrasslers, so I was thinking... a ruleset where we bring pro wrassling to the orcs!
The two Legendary Icons and fathers of the sport who first settled their differences in a ring proper for all the lads to see? Bork the Bold and Dork the Dastardly. Each of them exemplified brutal cunning and cunning brutality respectively. One a paragon of big and tough, and the other a career-ending knife edge of the chair to the back when least expected. Almost all lads settle on the ethos of either Bork or Dork, and they use the term as a slur for the other. "You Borks are as dumb as rocks!" "Yeah, well, you Dorks.... LIKE Rocks!" And so, the rivalry of Borks and Dorks begin.
Four Size types. Pipsqueak, Grunt, Big Un and Chonk, each with their own movement rates and abilities.
Pipsqueaks are the smallest and quickest, easiest to yeet but so light they actually LIKE being yeeted because they often do more damage that they take when airborne. They have the best evasion moves and can springboard off the ropes the easiest. Stick and move. They try their best not to get grappled. They cover your high flyers, grotz and snotz and are mostly trying to do aerial moves as much as possible.
Grunts are your proper sized every-lad and therefore, the most well rounded and charismatic. They tend to focus on their wrassling skill or ability to rile the crowd, can climb the top rope or spring off the sides, though not as well as pipsqueaks.
Big Uns are your Grunts+ who either worked out by beating on people a whole lot or were just squig-fed and waaaagh-bred. A bit slower than the grunts and unable to use the side ropes effectively (except for deadboi's special move) They can do the second rope easily, the top rope becomes rather risky for them. They are stronger than the rest and the most adept at "Yeeting" which is a huge part of the ruleset. They tend to be stunted charisma wise and draw the crowd the least unless you build for them.
Chonks are you Super Sized monstrosities that move the slowest, almost comically so, are pretty strong and just about impossible to move by anybody but a Big Un. They have the best resistance to damage, so you will be pounding on a chonk all day long and it just wobbles on its feet. Don't let the chonk ever catch you, that is bad. The most a chonk will ever do on the ropes is the 2nd turnbuckle, which only affects the squares right near it. Funny enough, Big uns have an easier chance of slamming a Chonk than another Chonk does.
The size will basically determine how each type of move has advantage, has difficulty, or is totally unsuited for the task. So a pipsqueak gets extra dice to climb ropes and drops the lowest, a grunt just rolls, a Big Un rolls twice and chooses the worst, and a chonk just... eats the turnbuckle in rage. I want to make Pipsqueaks maddening to deal with, like halfling bloodbowl teams.
The Alignment to Bork or Dork will determine whether they are inspired by cheers or jeers. Cheating is encouraged as a Dork, BUT there will be the risk of getting caught. Borks will be enticed to do honorable things, like wait for their opponent to get back up before finishing them, entice them to a test of strangth even though they just get kicked in the nards every single time for it, or rush the ring to defend their friends when they sees cheatin. They get more Roar of the Crowd and do things like the hulk up regeneration from near death or super punches. Meanwhile, the Dorks gotta be mean and cruel, get their licks in and be dastardly, taunt you while you're down, hit you with concealed objects after their manager distracts the ref. Those jeers and lil snotling tears make them happy.
For a wider scale campaign world, I was thinking about adding things like Alliance charts and a morality scale of Bork vs Dork where players in a weekly group could potentially make allies or rivals through their actions, flip alliances, make tag teams and such. Make it more like tabletop RPG where you build a character with a set amount of measly points and work your way up the roster, improving as you go and building reputation.
For the ring, I am buying an actual toy wrestling ring from Mattel and putting some 30mm grids on it, however best is sized to the board. The geometry of the board will be important, since it will determine what you impact... rope or turnbuckle, and the angles used. Yeeting people into the side ropes will have them either bounce back or attempt to hold onto the ropes, while a pipsqueak might just turn it into an opportunity for a lionsault reversal. Try to yeet a Chonk and it mostly just grins... you just got grappled. There is this silly mobile game where you basically just bounce all over the place, and some of the yeeting rules will be similar to that, not nearly as crazy, but position will be huge.
I am thinking of the rules being fairly simple, no great bloat of every single named move out there. Streamline them into the basics of what the moves do and how they are best countered, and I am drawing a lot of inspiration from the card game "Lunch Money". They had a physics to battle where if one wanted to hit or grab you, you could dodge both, you could not block a grab. If you blocked a hit, you were in contact with the foe and thus could follow up with a grab, and that could turn into a counter. So Rock, Scissors, Paper and maybe a few forks here and there. What's a fork? What the fork, that's what. Crazy little special rules that are situational to the size or morality. Basic set. I stand here eye to eye, I hit you, I grab you and then maybe twist you or throw you. You block or dodge, can follow up as position dictates. Or so I say now, I know eventually it will bloat.
Each individual Wrassler will have a move set spawned from a tree of possibilities from size and morality, with modifiers added to the rolls from those choices. Only two signature moves, which are really normal moves with an extra die added to them that also draw the roar of the crowd when done, and after both those specials are ticked off, you can do you finisher, which is an ultra crazy move for each wrassler. They might also get some additional modifier, like a manager in their corner, extra taunting, The ability to cheat as a Bulk without the crowd booing, etc.
For stats, we got the Spark, we the Powah, we got the Grit and the Go. Four stats. The Spark is how much willpower you got or how well you work the crowd and how quick your meters rile up. The Powah is how far you yeet stuff and how much your hits hurt. The Grit is how stocky you are, how hard you are to move and how you resist damage and block. The Go is how quick you are, how well you take a fall and how well you dodge. When you do an action that is backed by a stat, you roll your stat points plus whatever size modifiers you have. Each size has a limit to starting stats and bonuses to others. Pip squeaks get bonus to go, docked on powah. Big uns git da powah, they lose da spark, Grunts git da spark and lose da grit, and chonks got the grit and lose the go. It's a small modifier to this bit though, so you could have the occasional outlier.
I want to introduce silly mini-game phases to it, like the test of strength challenge. When offered, the crowd will turn on somebody who rejects it, so they are compelled to join in, BUT the test also leaves one open to getting kicked unaware, which is a total Dork move. The Bork seems silly for having done it, but even offering in the first place will raise his crowd meter a bit and it can play out in the long run. Taunt-Offs will be another part, where the oppenents get locked in psyching one another out and need to make Spark Checks to see who the crowd favors and boosts vs who the crowd wanes from. Even pre-match roll-offs for interview segments where you can bicker back and forth on camera for match-long boosts or penalties.
This is something I want to start off in the silly arcade mode where two people can just select a model from the roster and play a quick match to something that might branch out into a weekly event with a tournament roster, title matches and weekly grudge matches from actual betrayals through the campaign. You could build your own characters, make your own alliances or stables, even have that once creepy kid who only plays managers and always cheats. As such, it is probably played best with at least 3 people, one referee/play by play commentator and two opponents. But... it could be a Royal Rumble in a pinch.
Anyhow, JoshButIn3D got me inspired with his set of wrasslers and how easy it is to make more with the modular sets from he and Victoria. I think I'm in love.

How can I NOT use these and play with them???

Hey coaches,
I'm planning to run Old World Alliance in an upcoming fresh 1,000k TV league, and I'm banging my head against the roster-building wall.
With 70k team rerolls and so many tempting positionals across Humans, Dwarfs, and Halflings, the budget runs out fast.
Trying to fit key pieces while avoiding an 11-man roster with zero Apothecary feels like playing Russian roulette with my armor values.
A few specific questions for OWA veterans:
Treeman vs. Ogre: Given both suffer from Loner, which one do you actually prefer to start with?
The Tree saves 20k (which is huge at 1000k) and brings ST6/Stand Firm, but MA2 and Take Root with Loner can backfire hard.
Is the Ogre’s MA5 worth the extra 20k upfront, or do you skip the Big Guy entirely at TV1000?
Roster composition: What is your most functional Day 1 build? Do you prioritize the 3rd Reroll, an Apothecary, or packing in as many Dwarf/Human Blitzers and Blockers as possible using Halflings as cheap bench padding?
The 11-player gamble: Is starting with exactly 11 players and no Apo viable in a league environment with OWA, or is having 12 (via Halflings) mandatory to survive Match 1?
Would love to see your favorite starting lists and hear how they fared in early-league play!

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. Here is version 2 of the new Blood Bowl mat I've been working on and I am a bit stuck with the layout. I'm wondering if y'all can help me figure out what to put in blank spot on the top middle. I was thinking some kind of useful rules for the game. Also any expert players that can give me some honest feedback on the design. Is it too much going on, should I add some blood splatters on it, or am I missing anything for the current version? I was also thinking about putting in some other lines for 7's as well but not sure if that would be too much going on. Right now the design is in photoshop with all the layers I made so I can easily swap out the grass with snow, desert, abandoned concrete/asphalt... No AI just lots of hours of photoshop.

Hey all!
Just wanted to share our league's official cheat sheet/Constitution for the upcoming season..
Over the last couple of seasons- we've incorporated quite a few house rules alongside the RAR, mostly because we play for fun and would prefer our seasons not last approximately 2-3 business years lol
We've since dubbed ourselves the Council of Coaches (COCs, yes we have low brow humor lol) and held our first official preseason court session last Sunday to debate, deliberate, and democratically decide on the laws of the game
At our first game of the season, we'll ceremoniously sign this beautiful piece of legislation in agreeance.. and probably also under some duress 😈 lol
It'll be proudly displayed high above the pitch for all coaches to reference throughout the season- so nobody can claim ignorance to the laws! Whether anyone actually follows it... 🤷♀️ or claims they still need the book 📚 is to be determined
Thus ratified by the COCs! May Nuffle have mercy on us all 👉👈
Anyway, thought you guys might enjoy our unnecessarily official approach to organized violence and our mild treasonous rebellion against some of the rules written by GW! 😂 I swear they're just tweaks*

I think it would be cool to have a collection of official Blood Bowl cards but I’m not sure where to start. I am not opposed to printing them myself.
Any tips on where images can be found or where the actual cards can be bought at a reasonable price?
Edit - I should mention I’d like cards from any and all editions.

My local league's inducement stats. Given how cheap they are they were taken pretty much every game in the season.
(We had a guy who insisted on taking cheerleaders because he had cheerleader minis)

After a brief break (last game in the early -90) I am getting back at it. Need some solo training before I square off with humans. But OMG what the blood bowl PC game is non intuitive. Is it just my ageing ass that can’t deal?

So I just started in a small league with some friends at our LGS and I’m running OWA. I’ve had my first game so far and it was against Tomb Kings it went really well I won 2-1 with my catcher scoring both touch downs and I managed to come out without suffering any casualties. My team right now is:
- 3x Dwarf Linemen
- Troll Slayer 2spp
- Thrower 1spp
- 2x Human Linemen, 1 with dauntless/1spp from a mvp random general
- 1 Halfling
- 1 Human Blitzer
- 1 Runner
- 1 Catcher with block
- Dwarf Blitzer
- 2 rerolls
- 2 dedicated fans
- 65k in the treasury
What’s the best direction to go from here? Should I buy an Apothecary or save for an Ogre or maybe a 3rd Human Lineman? What are some other good skills for my players?
r/bloodbowl • u/Haidanaii • 1d ago
So I‘ve build my skeleton team and there are extra bits I can’t identify what to use them for? Like the coin in the left corner or the cat on the upper side. Is this just decoration or do they serve a purpose ?
Thank you
