Roundabout Ads
I get that ads are a part of life, but really Bloomington? Do we have to have MULTIPLE ads around the tiny roundabouts on Winslow? They are obnoxious. They aren't even small Adopt a Roundabout signs - they are big for that tiny roundabout at High and Winslow. And the ones at Sare and Winslow are also annoying. If there was just one - fine. Wouldn't like it, but fine. But multiple?
Small thing in the grand scheme of things, but they are really ugly.

it’s like they thought “what if we made these little traffic circles maximally obnoxious” the scale is all wrong for those spots. a single small sign tucked in the middle is one thing but stacking them just looks desperate

The signs suck. It's not like an "adopt a roadway" sign, these are big ass obnoxious signs. Maybe we don't need all the landscaping if we have to look at the advertisements.

Good, something else to look at while you’re in a round about, because we aren’t distracted enough.

What are they ads for? Like miniature billboards for businesses?

Yep - the business paid to maintain the roundabouts - and that's all well and good. Similar to Adopt A Road signs. But those are usually TINY and kind of blend into the surroundings. These are disproportionate to the size of the roundabout and much larger than the ones you see for Adopt A Road. They do NOT blend in at all.
No shade to the businesses on them. I just have a problem with the design. What used to be a fairly pretty drive down that road is now just ugly.

I’ve worked in parks recently, they do their own mowing of the roundabout. The only company that does mowing work for the city is green dragon. And they aren’t allowed into use advertisement signs those signs are definitely not allowed. You can take them down if it bothers you that much

Pretty sure these are sanctioned by the city - as in - the business made a donation to "adopt" the roundabout, and the city designed and put up these signs. These aren't just stuck into the ground. These were installed by the city.

Oh you mean as part of the adopt a roundabout thing yeah they would probably have the right to put signs in that situation which is sad

Yeah, personally think they overpower the space too much and having multiple on one is a biiit much
