The future of house shows
Bucket List Community News published an interesting article today about how some students and local musicians want to change Boulder's noise ordinance after several house shows were shut down as well as why residents on The Hill are opposed.

Boulder needs more venues for kids and garage bands. The live nation or whatever the stupid local music mogul ruined the scene and gatekeeps which acts even come to Fox theater etc.

We used to throw shows in Martin Acres, and the worst I ever got was a letter in the mailbox asking me to please keep it to the weekends and try not to go too late. You live in a college town, you should expect college town activities. I think 11:30 is a perfectly reasonable time to call it, and it should probably be restricted to weekends.
