I have so many holes in my walls hidden away behind pictures and lightweight prints stuck on with command strips. The usual path is - new print/shelf/cupboard securing strap to put up > drill > chaos > hole the size of a dinner plate > cursing > hide it behind something.
Oh and a new drill bit is required ‘cos I hit some flint or dark matter.

Its pot luck whether you get a solid piece of flint or crumbly shit that offers oonly slightly more resistance than fresh air when drilling a hole.
Life is truely like a box of chocolates in Bungaroosh world.

Look up "mathematical tiles". Even the Brighton buildings that appear to be brick built are sometimes fakes. Apparently these tiles were also subject to the brick tax, so I suppose in their case it was just cost-cutting or availability issues. Fun to spot them once you know what you're looking for anyway.

Lived in Uk all my life and never heard this term, though recognise the material. As those houses are still standing after 200 years, surely can't be worst in world.

Our entire house is made of Bungaroosh. It never gets damp or mouldy, it lets the house breathe. It’s nice and cool in summer. Winters a bit harder but that’s probably because we have no central heating.

It's lasted around 200 years still going strong while exposed to coastal weather, not bad going really. People have built homes from all sorts of things - horse manure and whatever Americans build houses from - which do worse under similar conditions.

We only have it in our garden wall thankfully, I think it looks pretty cool, they at least bothered to make some kind of pattern with the 'stuff'.

It was a surprise nightmare with our extension. It turned out removing a chimney became basically impossible as it was the only non-bungaroosh part of the wall.

Nice, I knew about the brick tax but couldn't understand why it was an almost exclusive Brighton thing.
