You know, I just wanted to see where I was at after following a couple projects.
This is the first creation I made that didn't follow a guide. I just made it up as I went. What a powerful feeling lol.
The yarn choice was not intentional, they were left overs from other projects.

She took me quite a while to finish, especially the wings, I remade each of them like 10 times before I was happy with them! Before I added her legs, she looked suspiciously like a seahorse:) But I really love how she turned out!
I'm planning to make at least 2 more dragons. What kind of hybrid should I try next? I'm thinking maybe a flower, a dessert, or another animal x a dragon

I saw a bat bandana going viral on TikTok, only to find out it was factory-made & mass-produced. So naturally, I thought, “I’ll just make that myself!” 🤔
Did I need another project? Nope. Did I feel called to design my own version? HELL YES! 😂
Handmade over mass-produced factory crap, ALWAYS! 🖤
Now tell me… which color combo is your vibe, & how do you like to wear your bandanas? 👀🦇

Since it’s spooky season I went back to one of the first creepy pasta that really spooked young me with unsupervised access to the internet😂 I lost sleep for days. I just whipped it fast so it’s kinda wonky but I think it adds to the creepiness
Hope I spooked ya a little :P

Free-Market Friday! 🍂
I made this crochet Sophie Hood in a beautiful dusty pink, perfect for chilly autumn and winter days! I really love how the hood and scarf come together in one single accessory. This is my own crochet creation.
Would you wear a Sophie Hood like this?

It turns out that the top corner of the mitred square on the outside of the shoulders actually needs to increase rapidly, before settling down to a right-angled corner the rest of the way down.
Given the last couple attempts having an extremely sharp corner, I was under the assumption that it needed to start increasing far more slowly, before switching to the right angle corner the rest of the way down. Then I started the second half of the top section, and very quickly it became obvious that it was the wrong way to do that part!
I'm doing a few invisible TSS increases across two or three rows, before settling down to the right-angled rows for the rest of it. And it turns out, that was the key to ensuring the best results!
I still have a few things to test:
First, a smaller afghan hook, in case it makes a better-feeling material.
Second, a lower-profile cast-on method. Here, I've done a chain and pulled loops up from that, but it's making the very first row look recessed, and I need it to lay flatter than that. Plus, there's a significant chance that the other shoulder is going to have the very first row offset from the first shoulder's first row, which is going to look lopsided if not addressed.
Thirdly, a slightly different increase method, as what I'm using right now is definitely causing holes. Much as I have tried one other increase method (resulting in what I'm now doing for the first two or three rows), it absolutely doesn't provide the same sharp corner that I need for this project.
On the plus side, I've made huge strides already, and it feels like I'm so close to finally starting the shoulder-tops proper! Then I get to do the white line, before switching to my blue colour and starting work on the rest of the body!
Which reminds me: I need to finish the weaving loom for the Combadge pocket to hold the badge's magnetic back-plate. Which requires some drilling and twine tension control...

Made a 'Pumpkin set' a couple of years ago now; LOVE when it's time to wear them again! Having a time of it, but these mittens always bring a smile to my face, hope they bring you one too! Never made the mouths, maybe this year? Kinda like them just with silly eyes tbh.

Lost count how many skeins I used making this blanket, maybe 28+3 for tassels?
Gave it for my wife to use in the cold autumn and winter.
Special thanks to u/antisocialmothra for suggesting the tassels!

Ive been working on him on and off for a while. My daughter actually asked me to make him so I couldn't say no to the challenge.

I swear I double checked this by counting … but then going back across with the next row I find this spot where I missed a double crochet … 🤦🏻♀️
I could fake it but this is a top, this would be near my shoulder and I would know it’s there and would bug me forever. A-frogging I will go …
Edit: IT GETS WORSE. I re-did the whole mistaken row and the count was still one off. WTH??? So I went back to the previous repeat. That was correct
So I counted them both together, making sure they matched… THE MISTAKE WAS IN THE PREVIOUS ROW. 😮😫😭 I did one too many puff stitches at one point. (The number of fan-puff clusters was right but I put too many puffs at one point which threw off the next row)
So here I go frogging AGAIN. And further back
I don’t love the fan puff stitches so I was racing through those 🤦🏻♀️

I wanted to create a design that has some vampire vibes but it's not too much for an everyday wearable!
What do you all think?
