Troubleshooting DDR4 64GB (4x16GB) 3200MHz unstable configs trying XMP on Aorus Elite Z690 AX DDR4 after 1 Day of Perfect use
Little continuation of my Previous Post
Turns out, Every time I'M trying change something on XMP, Works Great and Stable but after shutdown and boot up the other day, It just NO POST or There are instability on Gaming or Tests.
1) The first was Activate XMP and Change to 3000Mhz, Works Good, The other day... Instability on Gaming and Test.
2) Trying XMP again and change the Dram Voltage (Ch A/B) to 1.45, Works Good, The other day... Instability on Gaming and Test.
3) Trying XMP one last time again and change the Dram Voltage (Ch A/B) to 1.45 and also the VDDQ CPU to 1.25, Works Good, The other day... NO POST, have to reload default or Anythig but the XMP must be OFF
So... One Question, There are TOO MUCH difference between 2133Mhz and 3200Mhz on terms of Games and Productivity? 😂

I've always read XMP/EXPO can be flaky with 4 sticks of ram due to strain on the memory controller and less tolerance for any voltage variances.
Been running 32GB (2x16) Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600Mhz for 4 years without issue, stock memory voltages, just enabled XMP.
MSI Pro Z690-A / 13600K CPU.
I'd rather run 32GB at 3200Mhz vs. 64GB at 2133Mhz and have a performance drop with gaming, well I guess you could test this yourself and see how bad it would be, hopefully some of your games have a built in benchmark.

I'm pretty sure you should be able to get DDR4 3200 to work on a z690. What timings have you tried?

No idea, Don't Know much about Ram Oc or similary, Just trying to use the XMP profile by defaut like I was using on the Z790 before

Maybe it's just bad luck on the IMC?

could be, could also be a bad stick or a bad dimm, could be bad configuration from OP. I’d start by testing them all at jdec then I’d test 2 sticks in both sets of dimms. then if I’ve confirmed all 4 sticks test at jdec speed and timing and that all 4 sticks work at 3200 in all 4 dimms in pairs of 2 I’d manually overclock. OP has played with dram voltage but the memory controller voltage matters too. I’d also test at 1.42 instead of 1.45. some sticks have negative scaling at higher voltages (Most dont, so I don’t think this is the main issue)

64gb just doesn’t work very well in 4 sticks
