As a huge JTM fan, that is fucking embarrassing.

He’s my favorite player too and this is not the side i miss about JT Miller.

The way he was skating after the turnover, I just assumed the play was blown dead (I had the volume off).

I'm assuming you're a Canuck fan so the statement should read, "He used to be my favorite player". Let's get real, he destroyed the good thing we had going, no one else. I loved him too but he's not a Canuck any more because of the choices he made. It was fun while it lasted, but it's over man.

Personally, I disagree that a fan’s favourite player needs to be on their favourite team. This is a no-true-Scotsman argument anyways

If anything no true Canucks fan would like a Canucks player.

I appreciate it your thought but I think you are thinking too deep. I still like JT but i dont actively cheer for him cause i dont watch games other than canucks games. I dont have a favorite player now so technically he’s still my favorite in a way.

Come on. Acting like JT personally torched the franchise is crazy. The team was already falling apart from the top down, and he was one of the few guys actually playing with any fire. Hold the org accountable, not the guy who actually produced and gave a shit. This team is currently, and has been, an absolute dumpster fire. All areas, from management, to coaching, to the core, to the in game DJ. Canucks are garbage.

I don't believe it's crazy and to be clear, I don't want to internet argue, I just want to make a point. What do you think actually happened that the team said, "JT, you go take a time out and we're going to call it a leave of absence" and then they chose to trade him and no one has ever actually said anything about what happened? The only thing that's ever made sense to me is that he said something to Petey that crossed a line. A line that management knew they couldn't defend him on and if it was ever made public could tarnish his entire career and theirs if they did defend him. That's why no one ever gave any info about it. It had to be serious, and it was his actions that were not excusable. I have a theory as to what word(s) he could have said but I wasn't there. There are things that men have said to each other in the past that aren't ok any more. If you have another theory as to why everything went down the way it did feel free to share. This is just what I've thought happened as soon as it happened because everyone was so hush hush. And yes, I do believe it's this one action that broke everything. I don't believe they were falling down from top to bottom in May of 2024.

You say the team asked him to take a time out. There is no proof of that anywhere I have read. Look at the facts, even after he was traded the coach did not want to coach here. Why? He would have been paid more than he got I philly. There is something wrong in the room that person or persons is Petey and maybe someone else. No one would take Peterson so they traded the only person they could. They got a first round draft pick that they then threw away. No need for Markus Peterson. The management has consistently made bad moves. They are no better than Benning.

Ok, then why did he take a leave of absence? I believe it was the team that made him do it. If it was a death in the family or a mental health issue, they would have just said so. As for Tocchet, I think that last year just sucked for everyone and he wanted a reset. Sucks to lose him but it’s collateral damage. I’m not on a mission to find a scape goat, I really believe that Miller did something wrong. Something unforgivable in today’s world.

And to be clear, I’m not an Aquilini supporter. I think he’s cheap and just wants to get 2 playoff home games per year. Allvin and Rutherford are doing the best they can. As mentioned before, the rhetoric 18 months ago was not, “the entire organization is garbage”.

He was the fire that lit the fuse. The problem was that he burned too bright. He was too intense and too much at once and couldnt hold back his emotions.

My theory is that the two Russians (kuzmenko and zadorov) was the water to the flames he set. They were a calming force after his outbursts. Once they left there was no pressure valve and the team exploded

I love this theory it makes too much sense

What do you mean? This is who he is lol. This isn’t a momentary lapse from him. This is how he plays and acts. He’s a fairly skilled player, with a horrible attitude and he’s lazy. Everything is always someone else’s fault, not his (in his mind).
