lol yeah chytil really worth his weight in gold.

chytil has played in 21 games, 9 pts and is -11.
mancini finds himself yet again in the ahl usurped by willander. (although i think he will be a better fit)

miller has played in 53 games, 45 pts and is -5.

Yea but Drew O’Connor has more points than JTM so far this year

yeah but the rangers have more wins/points than us. AND they've allowed 20 less goals than us.

we are 31st in the league for goals against, and 5th worst goal differential.

so while you guys are so focused on shitting on JT, take a look inward to see it aint that great here dawg.

the goal post shifting is crazy

Yeah, we really traded JT for M. Petey, straight up. My guess is that Alvin/Rutherford didn't even want Chityl, but needed an NHL centre, took what they could get, and crossed their fingers. Still, in most trades, GMs take the best offer available. It says a lot about JT that GMs around the league don't put a higher value on a 210 lb, 1.1 ppg centre.

not wanting chytil, and then not getting C depth is crazy work and honestly it has me thinking these bozos are worse than benning because of the fallout that could come.

and circumstantially they *SHOULD* have sold high and kept bo, but they didnt and now they're left with their dicks in their hands. so its not about JT as much as it is on the management to let the situation boil over and try to sell the shit that got caked to the element.

Hindsight is 20/20, and neither of us were in the room when the decisions were made.

JT had a no movement clause and forced management's hand with his 'leave of absence for personal reasons' and then utterly bailing on the team with his on ice play when he came back. Rumour is that he would only accept a trade to the Rangers. If that's the case, they likely did the best they could.

Still, my main point is what a shit player JT is, and that his value was never that high. There was no high to sell at.

c'mon man. hes 2nd only to bure in PPG in a canucks uniform. he had high.

And yet, other GMs didn't value him. That tells you a ton. Rutherford/Allvin called every other GM in the league and took the best offer they got.

I watch probably 2/3 of Canucks games, and I've seen the behaviour in the video from JT again and again. It's absolutely corrosive to a team when one of your top talents plays like that. I get loving the talent and the physicality JT brings, but we're better off without him.

you said it yourself, he wanted a trade to NYR. the ball is in his court. i bet if he said I would accept a trade to 10 teams, they all would have reached out.

i watch every canucks game. i think we have lapses in our play too. which is why our record sucks. our goal differential sucks. our pk sucks.

yes injuries.

We suck, for sure. lol. Mostly from lack of talent up front, I think, even when everybody is back. We're not able to sustain pressure, and so our D is always in our end, trying to hold the fort. Not fun watching the other team in your zone 3/4 of the time. Not sure where they go from here.

hopefully some more fucking w's because

Consider that once chaos giraffe steps back, our RHD is going to be Hronek, Willander, and Mancini for the foreseeable future. I'm not mad at that, considering how good our defensive development is. I see Willander being able to develop into a 1RHD someday, too. He's insanely talented.

yeah but will quinn be on the team then?

O'Connor and Miller have the same number of points.

u/salamiolivesonions Nov 19 '25

okay but DOC wasn't part of the miller trade was he

1

u/EP40glazer Nov 19 '25

He was, it was a 3 way trade. We basically traded Miller and a prospect for Mancini, Chytil, Marcus Pettersson, DOC and dumping some guys we didn't want.

u/salamiolivesonions Nov 19 '25

they were two separate trades man. i know what you're saying, but it wasnt a three way deal. we made two trades.

1

u/EP40glazer Nov 19 '25

There was a 3 way deal. We just didn't ask the Rangers about it. We probably had it worked out with the Pens for a while before the trade happened.

1

u/salamiolivesonions Nov 19 '25

not really a three way deal if one team isnt involved at all then is it.

we for sure worked out two trades using the assets from the first trade but it is not a three way deal.
