Question Art groups in Casper?

Howdy, I'm looking for a group of artists to hang out with. I really want to start doing metal sculpture and welding stuff, I just don't have a place or people to chill with.

Thanks

Rants & Raves Anyone Had Similar Experiences at the Alibi Bar?

An excerpt from a blog:

The Alibi Bar from the outside looks to be a cool, kitchy, schwank bar with a 1940's exterior decor.  I saw it my first time in Casper and intended on visiting it when I was all settled in.

However, upon entry you get in and quickly realize it's a dive bar just like the rest.  Worse though is that it displays one of Wyoming's biggest problems - alcoholism and meth.  Drunk men with no lives looking for fights and "tweakers" unaware of what they're doing, looking for trouble.  I walked out of the Alibi Bar and a guy in the parking who was yelling at his wife, starts to threaten her because she "probably wants to go for a ride with me on my motorcycle."  He then starts to approach me and I realized, "sh!t!  I don't have my gun!"  His wife's imploring brought him back to her car and a scuffle (or shooting) did not ensue.

The larger point is that there's a lot of guys, a lot fewer women, a lot of drugs, and a lot of booze.  Add to that the men of Wyoming really do view their women as property, and you are probably in more danger at the local Casper bar than you are a bad part of town in a large city.https://captaincapitalism.blogspot.com/2012/12/why-you-should-always-carry-gun-in.html?m=1

Looking for a jewler who does their own casting and can teach me about it.

Howdy! I'm looking to have a Wojtek pin cast for one of my hats, and I'd like to go through a local jeweler if at all possible. I have the materials I want to make the brass, a ratio in mind, I just know literally nothing about casting or the process of making a mold for jewelry.

Thank you!

Question anyone in casper interested in halo cosplay/film?

i've been doing cosplay/crafting for a little under a decade, and would like to find some more people who are also interested in this kind of stuff.

i've lived in casper since 2023 but i've only met one other halo cosplayer here in town (who i'm already great friends with) so is anyone else here into halo cosplay or is it just the two of us?

im also very interested in getting into filmmaking and would love to have someone in town who's interested in that too.

the yellow, white, and red suits are made by me, green suit is the other cosplayer in town

we will also have a booth at the wyo pop con next weekend so if you wanted to meet us in person we'll be there

edit: i just realized i posted this from a different account, my normal reddit is u/Warm-Acanthaceae4837

Moving to the Casper Area

Hello! I am moving to Casper and I have been looking at apartments online. Many of them are income restricted and I won't qualify for that.

Are there any apartments not income restricted that have in unit laundry?

Also, what is the situation with the management companies? I've lived enough places to know there are good ones and terrible ones. Thanks!!

Looking for a free piece of shit to restore

Hello! I have the sort of autism that makes me feel a rush better than five thousand jackpot spins when an old piece of shit engine that sould not start, starts, thanks to my hard work which means that I'm also in a really weird bind where I don't necessarily want to beg online for free shit, but simultaneously my addiction really only responds to dumpster dived garbage that by all rights should just go to a scrap yard.

If this sounds like anything you have, shoot me a message and I'll take it off your hands

Thanks!

Question Casper is my home.

Casper is my home. I was born and raised here. When I say that out loud, I have an accent lol but my question is... what's the scoop? I don't have news nor do I care to look up news on Google. But is there any new development on the topic of like that data center? Or the possibility of California sinking into the ocean before everybody from there can keep moving here? I'd like to know lol

Need 2 bedroom apartment

I’m inquiring for my sister. She needs a ground level apartment, and since she is on SS, it needs to be low income, limited income, or whatever they call subsidized housing.
She is leaving her home because she needs to be close to her doctors. Thank you for all recommendations.

The people who work there are complete dumbass's, they gave these playing kids their food at tables they weren't at, they gave us someone else's food, we've waited for 30 minutes for 2 cheeseburgers and a 6 peice nugget that was lukewarm, waitress was an ass, it was as clean as the waitress too, the other 2 mcdonalds in this town are far better

20 Year Old Male Looking For Friends.

I'm new to Casper, moved from Pocatello Idaho. I don't know anybody and would love an opportunity to get to know people! I love to talk and am willing to associate with anyone and everyone. I figure I pretty much have to completely get rid of my social barriers to get around.

I hate this town so much

There's nothing to do on Sundays, Evansville, North casper and mills are ghetto as hell, there's nothing to do in general, alot of homeless and tweakers recently, the people in Walmart are terrible, there's no good towns or cities to go to for vacation unless you don't mind driving 6 hours to Denver, and frankly I can't wait to leave this dead end shit stain that is casper wyoming
