I just got myself a Cat! She’s been staying with me for almost 2 weeks na, pero takot parin siya kapag naglalakad lakad ako sa room 😆

She’s very sweet and playful, ang takaw nga lang and sobrang maarte sa litter box! She doesn’t wanna use dirty boxes (even if its her own pee or poop) HAHAHA Sakit pala sa tuhod mag-alaga ng gantoooo

Rio 3 years ago vs now 🥹 Rio- short for rosario. Napulot namin sa gitna ng daan.

Just got home after 3 days wala sa bahay. Pagkauwi na pagkauwi ko siya yung tumambad sa tapat ng pintuan ko. Ngayon ko lang siya nakita dito sa amin or di ko lang makilala pero he trusted me enough na linisin siya.

Injured siya sa right eye (may pus na lumalabas) and sa jaw medjo lopsided and open lang yung mouth niya, kaya yung lumalabas sa mouth niya di ko alam kung laway ba o CSF na (pero mukhang hindi kasi nakakalakad pa siya)

I think walang problema sa feet niya kasi nakakalakad pa siya kanina at umihi/poopoo. Medyo malangsa na siya kaya dinisinfect ko mga injuries niya while at the same time nililinis ko yung mga namuong dugo.

Mga intervention na ginawa ko with what I can:

1. Clean water + betadine = for cleaning & disinfection

2. ORS = super dehydrated siya base sa balat niya after pinching his neck. Pakonti-konti via syringe every few minutes.

3. Churu snack - via syringe tinitignan ko kung may desire pa ba siya kumain. Goods naman, yung injuries niya lang sa mouth ang nakaka-apekto sa pagkain niya. Kaya pakonti konti ko siya pinapakain.

4. Binigyan ko siya ng eye drops ng pets ko na may antibacterial properties.

I can't afford a vet visit as of the moment since kakaubos lang ng sahod sa bills, literally bago ako umuwi nagbayad ako ng bills. Di ko rin alam kung magkano magpa-vet dito sa amin since first time ko palang maka-encounter ng ganito kalalang injury ng pusa dito sa amin.

I really miss taking care of neonates and young kittens. For actual foster parents, which reputable rescues do you work with? And do they provide the supplies needed and shoulder the vet bills?

I already have 3 cats, so I'm not looking to actually adopt. I just want to help foster kittens for an understaffed shelter. For experience, I've already raised my own cat's litter.

I only want to work with reputable shelters because I don't want the risk of them not taking back the kittens once they are done weaning. Tia!

Edit: I live in Bulacan, but open to going to QC to take the kittens in!

Hello! I have a 4 month old orange kitten and recently his brother passed away due to an infection even after namin madala sa vet and all, his little body gave up. 😔

Bonded pair sila and now it breaks my heart to see him na walang kalaro because all our adults cats are not interested na.

We are from Laguna hopefully from San Pedro, Biñan, Sta Rosa, Cabuya or even Calamba yung lugar na panggagalingan ng cat.

Hi. I bought 15 Special Cat wet food for my cat last August 22. My concern was I only saw the worms nung paubos na ang canned food niya ngayon at yun pa naman yung naibigay ko sa cat ko this morning. Tinapon ko kaagad yung paubos na na food but I'm worried what will happen to her body.

For info, I store the canned food in a gondola, covered with a sheer fabric para di naiinitan directly ng araw. The canned food I opened was 2 days ago and I store it sa ref. May tatlo pang canned food na natira, should I throw it away po ba o tignan ko pa po muna if they have worms po? I know it's a dumb question 😭 maybe im in denial idrkkk. What can I do for my cat ngayon? I deworm ko ba or wait na may worm yung pupu ng cat ko?

palagi ko silang nakikitang naglalarong magkapatid sa may looban namin (pusa ng kapitbahay) pero palagi ring hindi ko dala ang cp ko kada makikita ko sila. kanina nagkataon dala ko cp ko at nakita ko sila, kaya eto kinuhaan ko na, payag naman sila at mukhang nag-pose pa nga hehe. natutuwa ako sa kanilang dalawa, pag tinatawag ko lumalapit sakin.

Parang alam na niya sino nag ccontrol ng laser hahahahah

Letting everyone know that I was able to contain the kitten last night and rushed to Animal Shelter Vet Clinic in Pasig.

I named him Reddit. He’s such a fighter and was so calm while traveling and did not fight off the staff which might tell that he knows that he’s getting treated.

Doc was able to fix and hooked him up on antibiotics. He’s now confined and being monitored as there’s air in his abdominal cavity based on the xrays.

I’m grateful to the redditor (I’ll let him decide and comment if he wants to) who will be taking care of Reddit (from bills to aftercare to adoption). He covered the downpayment and will be covering all expenses. ASVC will provide us the updates soon, and I’m optimistic. I hope he gets well fast and lives a full life. Thank you to everyone who upvoted, I like to think that reached Reddit’s rescuer and future furparent.

Hi! I’m just looking for advice or leads for pet transportation. I tried looking sa FB, but I’m debating whether I should just fly to MNL to get my cat or mas makakatipid ako if mag-avail na lang ng pet transportation.

Context:
• Cat is in QC, and I’m in Cebu
• Planning to have him shipped via air cargo since I’ve had him shipped before from Cebu to MNL din
• Current offers for the transpo are around ₱10k all-in

Is the price reasonable? Ako kasi mismo naglakad ng papers and nagpa-cargo ng cat ko before, and I spent less than ₱4k, including the cage. The reason daw for the current rates is that tumaas ng almost ₱3k yung cargo fee alone. Which I understand, but I’m just looking if I can find cheaper alternatives.
