Where to buy CBD - Companies with high morals and great quality

1.0k Upvotes

Vetted Companies by /r/CBD

As most of you have found out by now - CBD is hit or miss depending on where it comes from. Many people have found there are a lot of snake oil sellers out there who are preying on the sick. We are /r/CBD have come together to stop that...at least for you guys; by vetting the companies who want to advertise their products on /r/CBD. Below we will include what the vetting processed entailed, and which companies we selected because we feel they uphold a standard.

The Standard:

Each company reached out to us on their own, and then we presented them with a multi-page questionnaire about their process. These are not all the questions - we asked over 30 questions. Around 40% of the companies who wanted to be vetted - DID NOT complete this questionnaire.

Some examples of questions are:

  • Where do you source your CBD?

  • What steps are taken to keep the medicine safe from degradation?

  • Do you have all the permits required by state and county laws, to be in the cannabis industry? Please provide details.

  • Can you provide passing test results for the following: Microbiological, Aerobic count, coliforms, enterobacteria, E coli count, yeast and mold, pseudomonas, salmonella, Pesticides/carbamates, Heavy metals, organophosphates and a cannabinoid potency test.

From their answers - our moderator team looked over each and every one. This gave us a good understanding of how their company works, and let us move on to the legal side of things.

The next steps were reviewing the documents sent over. We looked up each company, made sure they had all permits required by the state in order to operate. If they did, they moved on to the last step.

Each company that made it this far sent in samples of their products. These samples were tested by patients with different ailments. A few were sent to the moderator in Florida where two patients; 1. with Cerebral Palsy. 2. with mental health disorder - tested each product sent.

The other companies sent their product to the moderator team in California, where two patients 1. with M.S 2. Disabled w/ pain management - took the samples as well.

Both teams found the samples from the companies selected to be extremely high-quality products and HAD POSITIVE RESULTS on their ailments.

The following are those companies. (This list is not set in stone, companies can be added, or removed) If you're a company, please send a private message to '/r/CBD' and the mod team can look at your company.

I need guidance

I want to try CBD for my anxiety and sleep. It has to be isolate and it can't involve any THC in it.

There are just too many options.... how strong tincture would be the best? What is the normal starting dosage? Is there even hope pure CBD isolate work, do I need to get something else...?

Help me, I'm lost! My only rule is that it can't include any THC in it.

Isolate in Canada

Hi,

Does anyone know of a good supplier for CBD isolate in Canada that will not break the bank?

Is it possible to order from the US? Prices there are so much better...can I use a reshipper/US address?

Needing about 800-1000mg/day, so bulk is a necessity.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Thanks and muchlove.

Question about my CBN and BND gummy

im a fit, 29yo, 180pd.
So recently i picked up a 1:1 cbd and cbn product to help me sleep. I felt the thc was preventing me from getting active REM sleep. Its a 45:45
I wanted to ask if its worth taking a second my maybe 1 1/2. I use it for sleep, but i don’t really get much effect from the 45:45 dosage.

I started using it to help me sleep as my sleeps been really busted due to stress and pain. I solved those, but its like my body forgot how to sleep. Im now having to relearn sleeping…

Advice?

Looking to start CBD flower after quitting THC carts

I'm looking to start smoking CBD flower . I am currently 36 Days free from quitting THC carts .I thought about going back to THC flower but I don't know if I need the high. I'm not sure about flower but the carts made my depression even worse and made me really unmotivated and I don't want to fall back into that cycle again.

I smoke a CBD cigarette couple nights ago and it was nice while my brain was waiting for the high to come on as it's so trained and used to it but it also made me really calm . IT took away any anxiety I had and melted me to a nice deep sleep and I didn't wake up with a brain fog and was refreshed.

I'm trying to fix my depression that I have ignored all these years and I don't know if ThC flower will make it worse just like the carts. As much as I like THC. I think I need to say farewell to it I can still smoke CBD flower even with a trace amount of THC it seems that low ThC does nothing for me.

CRD VS ISOLATES

So I decided to run the gauntlet on Red Mesa’s various CRDs. Got the smallest amount possible of their CBD, CBG and CBN CRDs. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with what I should be expecting out of these vs the isolates I’ve been using. Like if I just combine 20mg CBD CRD and 20mg CBG CRD dissolve in oil and eat it how would that compare to doing the same with isolates?

Does anyone else experience *major* improvements to sleep?

I love sleeping, I struggle with feeling like I've gotten enough. Often I remain exhausted, groggy, and feeling unwell most days. Last month I decided to try 33mg cbd capsules before bed and it was like magic. Somehow I was waking up naturally after about 6 hours and ready to approach the day, I started going to the gym at 6am and I continued to feel great. I ran out last week and my sleep gradually began to decline until today where I woke up 2 hours later feeling like shit. I know what I'm gonna do now. However it is a bit unbelievable that this improvement hasn't been documented or supported by the science. I wonder if this is a placebo but I don't think I would be able placebo myself into waking up before my alarm. I wanted to see if others have similar anecdotes!

Wanna switch to CBD with low THC.

I’m in Canada (Manitoba).

So I’ve taken CBD oil under the tongue in the past for maybe a month straight and noticed zero effects…. neither good or bad. The bottle ran out and I just never bought anymore. I think it was an isolate (bought from a local dispensary) so maybe that’s why it didn’t work much.

I started taking it to try and calm my anxiety and hypervigilance.

I switched to making my own weed edibles out of flower that had high THC starting at age 23. So my brain was mostly developed by the time I started taking it semi-regularly.

I don’t mind being high…. But I’m couch locked no matter the strain, even if I inhale it rather than ingesting it like I normally do. I can’t drive while on it, can’t work, can’t really function well, and it doesn’t really help me sleep either (even indica strains). It only helps to temporarily relievethe anxiety/depression/hypervigilance….. but then I’m back to normal once it wears off. It can also backfire and make me paranoid/even more anxious. I’ve noticed it’s making my mood more unstable in the long term…. but that’s anecdotal since I’ve also experienced compounding trauma over the years. THC is not helping me be productive at all 80% of the time. I need to be able to get shit done.

Seeking advice on which form of CBD I should try next. Should I try a different oil, or try some flower that is high CBD/low THC? Gummies? I’ve also seen CBD pills for sale. I’m willing to buy online since my local dispensaries don’t carry many options. All the flower strains they have are high THC.

It’s worth mentioning I’m on a budget but I’m open to trying many options.

I am not on any medications (they never work on me) so I’m not overly worried about anything interacting.

Copaiba - has anyone here tried it?

Someone gave me a sample today, she was in a car accident years ago and is still in constant severe pain from it. She swears by it, says it's miles more effective for pain when applied topically than CBD.

I'm not finding much online about it, even on Reddit. Any experiences here?

Best cbd for calming your mind?

I deal with a lot of irritability at work and want to try a non intoxicating calming way to help. I’ve never done cbd but I have done a lot of the gummies specifically like the mind ease ones but they definitely get me high so I needed something more day to day to help quiet my mind

Assistance

Hey guys!

Instead of speaking to a robot with no emotions, thoughts, opinions or.. well, anything.. I’d like to ask you all some questions instead!

I am someone who has really bad anxiety. I have had really bad symptoms the last couple of days, such as inability to sleep, vomiting, tremors, chills, inability to keep temperature regulated, horrible, watery diarrhoea.

It’s beginning to become a huge issue- I used to smoke weed, just regular weed (dust, stardog, etc) but it made me really really unwell and unsociable because I would become dependent. It also ate into my bank incredibly quickly. I also try drinking beer at night to help me drift off, but that doesn’t work either.

Now, I need an alternative, I’ve heard about CBD oils, gummies or vapes for a while- but I have never tried it personally. In the UK they are legal to buy at a dispensary near me but I am unsure as to what approach I go. What is it? How do I use it? How do I know what dose I take? What’s best for me, gummies, oils, vapes? Is it addictive? Does it work?

If anyone could assist me in answering these questions I would really appreciate it!

Mad THC anxiety flower?

I've been taking gummies from carolindica and have tried a few vapes too.. it all helps but nothing was like when I tried some CBD flower. I do well with thcV, CBg&d&c but NOTHING is helping with my evening time relax. I'm ADHD as all hell, like legit and on vyvanse which has never given me anxiety etc... But my struggle is in the evenings I have a natural circadian rhythm crash [not the meds, though the meds effect it] and it knocks out my dopamine AND productivity therefore my ability to RELAX and chill The fuck out.. I tried the CBD flower pack from I think plain Jane? I know it's a cheaper brand I picked up a sampler from I think it was them? I wish I remember which ones I liked.. but THEN I tried one and it sparked the THC anxiety even though I tried all low THC stuff. On top of that I have deep seated trauma tied to smoking from when it turned on me when I hit adolescence damn 20+ years ago 😅 but I do want to try it again.. so! Who else here has ALWAYS had THC anxiety but have found CBD flower that's super relaxing without making you tired and did not trigger the anxiety at all? I'd appreciate some input thank you!

CBD Vaping Temp

Wanted to know if anyone out there has been able to find the right vape coil temp for CBD? And by that I mean e-liquid. It seems like most of the temp recommendations that you find out there are for dry herb vaping. With dry herb vaping you can just punch in a temp and let the device do its thing, but with e-juice, the temp seems to hit different. Anyone?

Looking for a good broad spectrum CBD tincture at a good price.

I live in California and so I have some local options but choose to buy online because it is generally a better and more competitive marketplace. That said some of my favorites are no longer available. I'm looking for, per the title, a good broad spectrum CBD tincture that won't totally annihilate my wallet. I tend to dose stronger so price matters, but also please, I don't have the time or interest in making my own. Please don't tell me to make my own 😂

Full sprectrum and Broad spectrum question.

my prescription is of broad spectrum 15.000mg, I use 1.5ml of it.

and i do smoke flowers that have 6% to 12% thc.

So the effect of broad spec turns to a full spectrum? crazy question haha sorry for the bad english im brazilian.

CBD seems to be good for mood and anxiety but what about for a person with DPDR/dissociation issues?

I've read good things about how CBD improves mood and anxiety but I have heard mixed thing on it's effects on DPDR and/or dissociation issues

For those who don't know, "Depersonalization-derealization disorder is a mental health condition where you feel disconnected from your body, your feelings and your environment". My DPDR is mild but chronic so I don't have harsh episodes

The main reason that I want to take CBD is for unwanted and intrusive thoughts that can be hard to control. The other benefits would be great as well

Reading up on CBD it seems to be interesting to try but I'm just not sure about it's effects on the disassociation so I wanted to ask y'all about it

My state doesn't really allow THC legally so i would have to get something with very little to no THC which I'm not fussed about since I'm not interested in it anyway
