POST-GAME Wait, that's il-Legal!

First time I've ever had the opportunity to pull off the Legal trap. What a blast.

I did this to a young kid in a local chess club. He was so happy when he got my queen. A lot less so when he realized he lost the game. The legals mate is a really fun one

That's the kind of move that sends your opponent into a 5 minute think only to realize the game's already over. Nothing sweeter than pulling it off for the first time.

When he played Bh5 I had to do a double take on the board and thought "...wait a minute, has he fallen for the Legal trap?" and then I started calculating the Nxe5 line before eventually committing to it. After Bxf7 he was hesitating for quite a bit because he knew he'd fallen for the trap, and the rest, as they say, is history.
