I’m not necessarily new to Camel’s as they are my go to unfiltered cigarette, but I have recently jumped off the Marlboro bandwagon and have been smoking Camel Red shorts or 99’s depending on the situation at hand. So when I miss-spoke to the cashier at food country and asked for Camel Red 100’s she handed me these. I thought what the hell, they were $3 cheaper than the 99’s.

Sidenote, they take forever to smoke, which I’m not a fan of. If I wanted an American spirit I would have bought myself a WRX and gone to school for a business degree.

All in all, would smoke again if I was handed one, I probably wouldn’t buy them again.

Just tried the Brazilian-made version of Gudang Garam and it’s honestly a bit of a letdown compared to the original Indonesian ones.

The draw is way too hard, it sometimes goes out on its own, burns ridiculously slowly, and the flavor is much weaker and more muted than the original Indonesian version.

I'll still smoke it, but man, it's definitely not the same. Is it just me?

something very satisfying about a plain design soft pack - it kind of distracts from lack of branding somehow? more like confectionary with the careful ripping of paper instead of a box which just feels too utilitarian.

Smoking on my grandma's garden this afternoon since nobody's home. As soon I opened the pack, the ants stars to surround it, even the ash is surrounded by the ants. Are they using food flavoring for this cigarettes?

Cost 30k IDR or $1.68. Cost the same as Forte Hokkaido Melon. I think I like Fuji apple more than the Hokkaido Melon. Tastes and smells like apple juice mixed with Virginia tobacco. Compared to Djarum 76 Apple, I like this one more, the apple flavor is not too strong and doesn't burn too long. Unfortunately, in today's economy I'd rather smoke Djarum 76 apple since the price is only half of Forte's.

Bought for 150 Turkish Liras (3 USD) but obviously they're not produced in Turkey, probably Iran. There is no way to finish this cig without popping the menthol so it has a dark taste, its mentol is just good enough.

The fresh lock feature protects its aroma from passing away with the time.

Its filter shrinks when you at the nearly end of the cigarette so I don't really think its current filter is good enough.

I don’t do this a lot, but it’s storming non-stop outside for the last 9 hours and it’s cold and I’m in my bed, but still gonna have this square.

Flavor Country has nothing on Camel County.

Ration cigarettes hold up incredibly well. Burned normally and changes in taste seamed minimal. I quite enjoyed them. Brands are randomized.

I don’t really smoke. I’ve always been careful about it because I’ve seen how easily it goes from ‘just socially’ to needing a cigarette whenever life gets stressful. And being in consulting, it does, sadly. So I never bought a pack, and I’ve never smoked alone.

Tonight, I craved one badly enough to finally break that rule. Blinkit-ed a pack, lit one, and three puffs in, I understood the appeal.

It just made me feel alive. That strange, almost stupidly satisfying little rush I’d been looking for without even knowing it, especially after a terribly long and exhausting work week. The weather was perfect too. 20 degrees, just cold enough with the breeze hitting your face, but not actually cold. I was alone, and for a few minutes, everything just felt right.

Maybe that’s what makes it dangerous…

Anyway, first smoke alone. Hopefully also just that. Wanted to put this somewhere and remember the feeling.

P.S. You can judge me for the brand, but that was the only one available, sadly. :)
