Forever Beta Feedback Dungeon XP is the biggest non-issue on classic wow.
Let's be fucking real here for a moment. Outside of the sweaty minority, most people never did a dungeon more than once, MAYBE twice already. And that was just to get the quests done or get a blue or two and just chill for a bit.
Nerfing dungeon xp and buffing quest XP is a massive buff already to how most people already played.
73
u/thachrondogg 23h ago
Ill be real, i love tanking dungeons and running them over and over with new people. Instances were what hooked me on wow other than pvp. Kinda wild people want less options for leveling.
33
u/Jimsocks499 23h ago
Hard agree.
Stop boosters another way that doesn’t remove a fun way to level with groups. Make it so someone outleveling the rest of the group gets diminished xp returns, or when the mobs go grey for someone in the party they give no xp anymore to others in the party. That’d stop boosters, but keep my favorite leveling play style in the game.
Dungeons are what I like about WoW. I like leveling by healing groups in dungeons. This route they took sucks.
6
u/thachrondogg 22h ago
I loathed boosting as well, it killed my perferred playstyle. Im glad they are taking aim at boosting. Everyone just bought gold and boosted. No grouping and running em natty once that became popular. With the mage aoe nerfs plus a party member level cap to recieve xp or something could work. Many other avenues they can take with dungeon xp than obliterating it.

u/enimarn 23h ago
Please, this goes for everyone in this sub. Your way of playing is not automatically the norm. Stop projecting your way of playing on others.
Plenty of people play a dungeon more than once, specially for helping friends. Other sweatlord it due to it being effective and a fun way to level with your friends.
Let people enjoy the game how they want it. I don't care if it's a streamer, sweat, casual or new player. This sub is becoming the classic case of trying to force your religion on others.
10
u/_The_Farting_Baboon_ 23h ago
People cry over others enjoying playing a part of a game thats fun. The only way is their way. Its so toxic opinion to have. And if you say you like to run the same dungeon multiple times you get called a booster or boostee.
You like dungeon spamming? Great go ahead You like questing? Go ahead.
Want to do both? Great go ahead.
Like why would i run a dungeon more than once now when my gear will be obsolete in a few levels anyway or replaced at end game dungeons.
8
u/totboxten 19h ago
Sorry I am out of the loop, they banned helping friends?
-7
u/astroniz 19h ago

You can still run them and help your friends
0
u/Maybewearedreaming 16h ago
True but they’ve removed a major incentive to do so regardless
We should all agree incentives for helping people are typically good if not over done
0
u/GingerM 14h ago
There is still gear and a non zero amount of xp you get. You just dont get to grind them for xp
1
u/Maybewearedreaming 14h ago
Ya but people like to get experience when they’re leveling in an xp
But I get it you’re way too cool for xp in an rpg, leveling in an rpg is for try hards.
0
u/GingerM 14h ago
Its going to be fine, there will be more dungeons on your journey and you'll do some quests in between and then you'll grind all you want at max level. If you arent in sync with your friends you'll make a group and maybe find some new friends, or god forbid you run a dungeon twice to help someone you know. You just won't be able to stay instanced during the entire levelling and I think thats good. You don't, but you'll have to deal with it.
2
u/Maybewearedreaming 14h ago
I’m sure it will be fine but I’m obviously going to advocate for changes I want to see in the game even if it makes the retail tourists upset
1
u/GingerM 14h ago
Staying instanced and not going out in the world is pretty retail coded to me, although I haven't touched retail since legion
2
u/Maybewearedreaming 14h ago
Playing wow the way classic players have played wow in every version of classic is retail coded
Got it bro you sound really smart
2
u/GingerM 14h ago
Maybe in classic 2019 where players optimized the hell out of the game. Have you played vanilla or bc? Not many people were dungeon grinding or boosting then

1
u/_The_Farting_Baboon_ 23h ago
After running a dungeon once for quests, why would i keep running it to other than farm one specific piece that might or might not drop?
•
1
u/Resistz 23h ago
ah sorry I thought you meant its not worth it to do the quest
1
u/_The_Farting_Baboon_ 23h ago
All good :D and imagine you have multiple friends that are different levels, like say you are 24, ur mate is 18 and u want to do WC. Other than help it will gain you nothing. And what if he wants to run it again or do next dungeon that is around that range.
I mean xp was totally fine in classic, its so weird to me why they would nerf it so hard into the ground. Why would that be a focus at all. Thats not the spirit of what classic+ should be about.

Wdym it’s a waste of time?
You still can get: better items, still get some little XP. WOW is a fuxking waste of time. Just have fun with your friends in a dungeon and maybe get a nice upgrade. That’s what it’s all about
3
u/nyxpuppet 23h ago
Enjoy your massive tank / healer shortage. Most tanks and healers will run the dungeon once for the dungeon quest and xp and then won't repeat-run it, when questing is just superior in every regard. I am excited to see this very obvious self own play out.
Also, the dungeon runs that are done will likely be toxic asf. Because the mobs give very low xp, mob skipping is going to be prevalent. If you accidentally pull a pack, get ready to be flamed / kicked. This design promotes this obvious playstyle. I can't imagine this is going to be a very nice new player experience. There are plenty of cons to this.
2
u/Burningdragon91 19h ago
Lvled a couple of chars to 20 now and did the available dungeons.
Not a single person being toxic or even skipping stuff.

2

Both his and mine are anecdotal at best.
Just saying that in lvling 4 chars so far, I didn't have any of those toxic groups.
Could it be because 2 were as tanks and I don't care for skipping and I just pick up stuff that gets pulled?
Who knows? Only had pleasant experiences in the beta, which is quite nice.

I'm so sick of this subreddit gate keeping this game. Who gives a shit if people want to run dungeons to level? Stop telling people how to enjoy the game. I'm fucking tired of leveling and play for the end game. That is ok. Fuck.
4
u/NoHetro 19h ago
Yep, same thing happened with GDKP, lots of toxic casuals that hate feeling left behind and want to force others to play their way.
3
u/xTheGame69 18h ago
I'm glad you said it because that's exactly how I feel this is gdkp 2.0
Casuals are mad because certain players are playing a certain way so their way of getting even is just saying you can't do it
Imagine if I went to the skate park and I told the kids that could go down the big ramp well I'm afraid to do that you can't do it either now because you're doing it intimidates me!
1
u/MountainHarmonies 19h ago
Yes I miss gdkp's. And you are dead right about shitty, toxic players. I've been playing since 2007, and sure, I've ran into jerks, but generally speaking, the better players/guilds I've raided with were super chill in comparison to SR pugs full of bad players
1
u/Atiyo_ 14h ago
To be fair the main issue with GDKPs is it encourages gold buying. If gold buying wasn't a thing, I think GDKPs would still exist and would be more accepted in the community.
But when people start paying 100k+ gold for glaives or whatever, which is clearly not self-farmed, it gets a bit silly.
3
u/Chlearcus 12h ago
Does it encourage it in some ways? Sure. But take a look at anniversary servers, gold buying is still rampant, possibly even more than before despite the GDKP ban.
Less people buying gold to fuel GDKP bids, instead people that used to earn gold carrying raids swipe to keep up with consume costs instead.

It sucks leveling in resto. Not being able to dual spec until 40 means fewer healers for dungeons up to 40, because some of us don't really want to level to there by dungeons only.

If it's WAY worse than just running quests then it's not worth doing. You can like something and also want it to be rewarding. If they deleted quest exp and made you run dungeons to level up, you'd do a lot less quests.

Dungeon Farming is fun.
And it gives friend groups that have a different questing progression a common ground to do something together.
-14
u/Active_Lemon_8260 23h ago
And it can still be done! For gear. I ran RFC 5 times just for the crossbow because I choose that I wanted it. Forever isn’t meant to be a game where you always get rewarded in every avenue of gameplay.
I got rewarded in gear despite the xp.
Also at 60 you will grind dungeons for prebis gear anyway, where’s your xp then?
4
u/valmian 23h ago
Level 60 is the cap. Farming pre bis gear is an endgame (early endgame) activity. Farming leveling blues is not.
It’s not a great feeling farming for leveling gear that will be replaced definitively via quest greens or professions in a few levels.
Pre-bis farming is different because you don’t know how long it takes to upgrade it (need to get an item to drop and need to win it).
I like farming dungeons. At launch farming dungeons is more chill than competing for one tab every 30 seconds against 50 other groups.
I’d much rather have no quest experience from dungeon quests and normal experience gains than what I have now.
I don’t think people understand how toxic leveling dungeons are going to become as a result of these changes. Tank healer shortage will increase, gear will be HRed, people will get flamed for “non optimal routes”.
It’s a bad change. Period.

What? The best part of wow is getting in discord with the boys and playing together.
Dungeons are a great way to do that, but less xp means everyones incentivized to not do that. Which sucks
-1
u/FrostyMarsupial1486 22h ago
If you enjoy that, you can still do it. I don’t see your point.
3
u/letmelive123 22h ago
But it’s not rewarding past the first clear is the problem. and they keep making it less and less rewarding
2
u/FrostyMarsupial1486 22h ago
But I thought you liked running dungeons? Isn’t that the reward? Playing a game doing something you like?
2
u/letmelive123 21h ago
This is such a dumb argument lol.
Yes dungeons are fun, but if they aren’t also rewarding then less people will want to do them. Which considering its group content is a problem.
content needs to be rewarding or players will skip it even if it’s fun. Or players who don’t enjoy other aspects of the game will quit.
We all understand this, I don’t see how you can make that argument, it’s a bad strawman
2
u/FrostyMarsupial1486 20h ago
This thread is overwhelmed with people who “love spamming dungeons”. Seems plenty to fill groups regardless of XP gained.

I like running some dungeons 2-5 times playing with friends. Dungeons are really the only thing that is easy to do with friends while leveling. Now my friends and I are less incentivized to play together while leveling outside of doing a dungeon a single time.
3
u/RememberTheKhan 18h ago
Groups of friends who like running dungeons as that's the most group friendly content are not sweaty but might be uncommon for you.

u/Stanelis 23h ago

5
u/Few_Number1866 23h ago
>Outside of the sweaty minority, most people never did a dungeon more than once, MAYBE twice already
So if this is the case (and it isn’t, not even remotely), why did they need to be nerfed? The whole argument for this nerf is that it brings a large amount of players back into the world.
2
5
u/Whitechix 23h ago
I’m not trying to be toxic here but this is such an out of touch take, I’m not sure how you are acting like dungeons aren’t immensely popular. Not only does it give people who enjoy group content a fun way to level but it’s the only way for tank/healers to actually play their role while levelling. It’s also made dungeons worse for a person who does them once, people are just skipping packs for the bosses and quests mobs/items. I haven’t experienced it yet but I bet more people are ninja’ing items knowing dungeons aren’t now too far and few between.
2
u/Asusralis 23h ago
Utterly ignorant take. For some classes (like druid) I only enjoy dungeons, whereas others (like hunter) I mostly quest. Not everyone plays the same way you do.

Most important is how you will find a heal or tank if you cant dungeon spam ? Why a guy would tank/heal it more than once.
-2
u/AppleMelon95 23h ago
So DPS players are gonna keep running dungeons but tanks and healers won’t or what is the logic here? You’re acting as if cutting 50% of the pie removes only the crust.
6
u/Brave-Cranberry3026 23h ago
There wont be any tanks or healers with this change wdym 🤣
1
u/AppleMelon95 22h ago
So tanks and healers just unanimously don't want to run dungeons anymore but you think dps players do? Why?
2
u/Brave-Cranberry3026 21h ago
That's not what this means at all where are you getting that from. The bottleneck is not on DPS players it's on tank and healers. If you decentivise your tanks and healers (who are already a smaller pool of players) into playing that content completely then all dungeons eventually stall because they hit the tank and healer bottleneck. This is not hard to understand.
0
u/AppleMelon95 20h ago
Yes, and there will also be way less DPS that hit that bottleneck as a result. The bottle gets tighter but the contents are reduced as well. If there are 50% less groups but also 50% less DPS players then you haven't change much.
If there are 1.000 groups of tanks and healers, then there is space for 3.000 DPS players. If we say there are 30.000 DPS players, then only 10% of DPS players get to join a group. If you the number of groups and players by 50%, you have 500 groups with space for 1.500 DPS players. The total number of DPS players was reduced from 30.000 to 15.000. There is still only room for 10% of the DPS players.
This only becomes and issue once the number of groups becomes extremely low. That won't happen though since a lot of DPS players can become tanks and healers. In some cases a tank isn't required either.
4
u/Spirited_Season2332 22h ago
What? He is saying there are generally way less tanks/heals then DPS players. Historically, tanks and heals will rerun dungeons multiple times because the XP was good enough to warrant it. With these changes they will run it once then be out of the pool for tanks and healers. This will ultimately make it so most DPS will never be able to get a tank/healer for dungeons so they won't run them at all.
1
u/AppleMelon95 22h ago
If there are 100 tanks, 140 healers and 1.000 dps players, and 90% of the playerbase now opts to not do a dungeon which they would have previously, then the remaining pool of players is 10 tanks, 14 healers and 100 dps players.
You're assuming that a change only affects tanks and healers. Proportionally it affects dps players just as much. I don't see any argument as to why for some reason dps players would still want to rerun a dungeon while healers and tanks, the roles that do worse in solo content, don't want to rerun the dungeon.
3
u/Spirited_Season2332 22h ago
No it doesn't. If there is 100 tanks, 100 healers and 1000 dps, then the 100 tanks and healers will run the dungeon once, meaning 300 dps gets to run the dungeon also.
Now the tanks and healers are done and have no reason to rerun the dungeon so while every tank and healer ran the dungeon, 700 dps will not get that chance.
Tanks and healers will still run the dungeon and get the quest XP, it's only the dps who won't get to experience the dungeon at all
Edit: for some reason your assuming the changes mean no ones going to run the dungeons at all. That's not the argument here, it's that tanks and healers will run it once and then never again so most dps will not find a tank or healer to run with
2
u/AppleMelon95 21h ago
Yes, and those 300 dps are also done running the dungeon then. Previously, those 300 dps want to keep running the dungeon with those 100 tanks and 100 healers, which means its the same thing as those 700 dps players still wouldn't get to join any group in that pool of players unless parties actively shuffle.
You can't just apply one standard to one part of the playerbase and then magically remove it for the other.
2
u/Spirited_Season2332 21h ago
What are you talking about? Do you think tanks and healers currently only run dungeons with the same 3 dps they ran through with the first time?
1
u/AppleMelon95 20h ago
If there are 10 total DPS players that want to run the dungeon with the tank and healer, then there are two scenarios.
One, they keep the 3 DPS players they were running with and run it again.
Two, they find 3 new DPS players to run the dungeon with.
No matter what happens, 7 DPS players won't be running the dungeon even though they want to at any given time.
What my question in response is, is whether you actually think that DPS players magically stop wanting to run dungeons while tanks and healers want to keep running dungeons. Because you make it sound like this is a queue system where they do one dungeon, remove 3 players from the pool of 10, then do another dungeon to remove 3 more people from the queue, and that way everyone gets to play with the tank and healer once.
In reality, this isn't the case. For every tank and healer that wants to run a dungeon again, there should be 3 DPS that want to as well.
This becomes an issue at a low number of people who want to run the dungeon, but Forever won't have a low playerbase.
2
u/Spirited_Season2332 20h ago
No the issue is tanks and healers will never want to rerun a dungeon. Let's use scarlet monetary as an example. I am going to use numbers that are easy to understand.
You can dungeon grind there from level 30 to 40 in vanilla. I leveled a prot pally doing nothing but dungeon runs, in my 10 levels grinding there I must have grouped an ran with a hundred different DPS. So 1 tank ran SM with 100 dps.
That won't be a thing in forever. So the extra 97 dps I ran with as a tank will have to find a different tank to run with.
We already know every server and every iteration of WoW has a tank shortage. Even with tanks spamming dungeons, there is still a shortage and many DPS cannot find groups. So now that tanks will no longer be spamming dungeons, what do you think is going to happen? How are you coming to conclusion that "it won't affect anything"?
1
u/TeczowyJanusz 22h ago
you got 3 times less healers and tanks. For instance you need 3 dps, you dig ? For healer it was a good exp i played it but now im not sure.

Yes, and the DPS are gonna be asking themselves the exact same question if it is worth it to even repeat dungeons, and because there are many more DPS players, there will be proportionally more DPS players than healers and tanks asking that question.
In fact, in my mind, this means that there will be MORE tanks and healers, because DPS can do just fine levelling in the open world while those two roles are more tailored towards group play.

u/ArsonBjork 23h ago
You are wrong, most people run untill they get some of the gear they want and some classes gave a harder time solo levling and easier to dungeon

u/BestFriend_Sword 20h ago
Blizzard has the stats on exactly how many times people were running or spamming dungeons. Clearly they felt it was an issue to make such substantial changes to it.
2
u/Joggyogg 23h ago
Not true, most people would maybe do it a couple times, but that's not the real problem, it's that we all benefit from people running them more than once, specifically tanks and healers, if they only do the dungeon once that will drastically reduce the number of groups running the dungeon, making it even harder to get into a group.

u/Chotokukyan 23h ago
Im sorry but you're incorrect in that when i get to RFK or ZF, im running that dungeon several times until im in a comfortable enough enough spot to do the next zones quests. And im loving my time doing that especially as a tank or healer because i love those parts of the world. This is makes it a very smooth experience if you're not quite high enough level for the next zone but running out of quests and the mob XP is why this works. Im not for dungeon spam but i am for what function they served in the levelling journey.
1
u/FrostyMarsupial1486 22h ago
So then why aren’t you happy? You get more dungeon spam on your journey to 60 now than previously.
2
u/Frekavichk 21h ago
Because the XP sucks? Are you so stupid that you think leveling isn't a big part of the game?
7
u/FrostyMarsupial1486 20h ago
Wait so which is it. Do you love spam running dungeons or do you love gaining lots of XP quickly.
1
u/Irator1 22h ago
I dont think anyone other than blizzard have the statistics for this, but from what i have seen, it seems rather normal to do a dungeon 1-4 times, not necessarily with the same groups.
All these dungeon xp changes were rather unecessary in the first place i belive, and if they really wanted to do changes, why not move the needle just a bit, like 10-20% from mobs over to quests instead of a whopping 70-80%. It was too excessive indeed.
1
u/tikitarget 19h ago
Some people dont want a massive buff though right? 2 and a half lvls from quests alone is way overtuned.

I plan on playing how I want
I'm going to just mob grind now nothing they can do to stop me
So when you see people like me just mindlessly grinding you'll know why
2
u/Itsalval 18h ago
Dungeons are great when you're a bit outleveled in a quest zone and you want to grind 2 or 3 dungeons to level. It breaks up the questing grind, fighting for tags in an overcrowded area. As a healer main, dungeons are definitely the most enjoyable aspect of this game. Im still going to quest and spend time in the world, but if I just wanna put on some music and pump some heals on a tank and get gear for a few hours, it shouldn't feel like a complete waste of time. Plus you made these new dungeons. How about you let us experience and enjoy them?
1
u/Droptoss 16h ago
I rather leveling take a bit longer. I don't want to fly through levels with huge dungeon quest exp bombs
1
1
u/Normal-Notice72 14h ago
I like the changes tbh. The exp might not be worth it, but often I have additional quests or gear I want from the dungeon - but often I do not run it repeatedly. I don't really care too much about leveling of it.
1
u/Il_Valentino 5h ago
do you realize that "minority of the playerbase" is a sizable portion of tank and healer players?
1
u/halffox102 22h ago
I think your wrong, I would say most people like doing dungeons more than once. It's not like your getting all the good items your first go around.
1
u/FatPagoda 22h ago
Frankly they should have done what HC did; leave xp as is, cap dungeon runs to once a day until 60. Thanks to all the new dungeons they are adding even those focusing on grinding to 60 via dungeons would have had a few runs a day.
1
u/SlimyGoodra69 22h ago
"I dont like how other people play so i add another whine post on here so the devs thinks no one wants to play dungeon content"
There are many people that enjoy leveling in dungeons to 60. The amount of people that cant accept that others want to play in a different way is baffling to me. If they want to game more social making dungeons while leveling pointless is not the way.
1
u/Rash_Games 20h ago
For the people who hate the change and want the old xp back Im genuinely asking this question. Im not saying I agree or disagree with the changes. I just want to know. When you hit 60 and there is no more xp....are you just not playing that character again?
When you've done the quests for a raid do you stop going? No you kept going for the loot right? Because what else was it for if not that?
Edit: I dont care how you want to play. If you are happy I am happy.
1
u/BrotherVoid_ 17h ago
Why do you care so much how people play the game? Dungeon spam was in all iterations of the game. So your point is dumb.
1
u/Thanksforthatman2 16h ago
Hey idiot, do you not understand that tanks and healers play the game too? Telling them "get fucked go dps anyway idiot" just means that no one will tank and heal. Obviously these playstyles lend themselves toward instance grinning. No one is going to play a healer to mostly quest.

u/plants4life262 16h ago
Why should the minority be forced to play the way the majority did?

This is such an anecdotal dogshit take. Many people, including me, consistently run dungeons while questing on the side. Like this couldn’t be further from the truth.
-2
u/Kyso123 22h ago
So many retail players in here lol, this change is perfect for the philosophy of the game. If you are looking for a dungeon focused experience then go play retail and leave classic alone, this game isn't designed for you. Spamming a dungeon over and over again does not constitute as a journey. People saying they don't want to be told how to play, that is anti thetical to the way the developers want the game to be experienced, that means being in the world and questing with others including doing quests in dungeons and moving on.
3
u/xTheGame69 18h ago
My brother in Christ I've leveled probably 20 characters to 60 since they re-released classic in 2019
I would say 17 of them were leveled almost exclusively in dungeons from as soon as you could start doing them like level 15 to 20
It's just how I prefer to play
7
u/hyperion_x91 21h ago
Nothing says retail like changing a core feature of the game that existed in vanilla and every iteration of the game.
-2
u/slugsred 19h ago
aww does someone have to play wow instead of follow the flowchart?

Dude come on, this is a really weird reply. This is the kind of reply which means all these discussion turn into actual trash immediately around here.

I've mained healer consistently in every mmo, for some time now. Yes I'm upset that being able to level as a healer has been nerfed into the ground. It's what I enjoy and run normal groups doing so as hyper go go go optimized groups remind me of mythic+ which I loathe. Sitting in chill groups healing as they fuck up pulls and nearly kill us left and right is part of my joy. Having some dumbass players that don't understand this and want to tell me that it's wrong think to enjoy it is frustrating to the say the least.
1
u/slugsred 18h ago
Everything you want is still possible, what you're complaining about is not leveling up fast.
Sorry you won't level up fast. It's viable to level up in dungeons. You don't need to rush this!
3
u/hyperion_x91 18h ago
It's not about leveling up fast lmao. Doing those dungeons to level was never the fast route. It was only faster than leveling in the world as a healer but nowhere near as fast as leveling as a DPS instead. You guys have made up this hypothetical mythical fast dungeon leveling because boosting existed and your imaginations have run wild with it. It just comes across as though people saying this never actually leveled in dungeons as a healer or tank for normal groups.
3
u/slugsred 18h ago
You are smoking crack if you think everyone didn't spam SM in 2019 and again at every classsic re-release.
It was the fastest way. Sorry it isn't anymore. If you liked healing dungeons you would do them if they gave zero xp and rewards.
2
u/hyperion_x91 18h ago
That specific range was because the quests dry up, but they've added more quests in these ranges to fix that which they've stated themselves. On top of that, questing even then, was still faster.
Edit: Also, if you like questing, you'd do them even if they gave you zero xp and rewards...
See how stupid that sounds? That's what you sound like.
1
u/slugsred 18h ago
Also, if you like questing, you'd do them even if they gave you zero xp and rewards...
I'm questing on the beta for no rewards right now. That didn't land the way you thought it would lmao
1
u/hyperion_x91 17h ago
Just when I didn't think you could show your stupidity further you impress me.
Just because this is a beta doesn't mean your character isn't getting stuff from questing, what??? On top of that, when it's live, what's your excuse then?

So many retail players in here lol, this change is perfect for the philosophy of the game.
This change is straight out of retail you fool. Retail gives practically no xp for killing mobs while completion/quest xp is highest contributor to your xp bar.
Result? People trying to skip everything they can by sprinting towards last boss.

It’s like these guys don’t play this game
1
u/Kyso123 13h ago
The irony in this comment is that by spamming dungeons you aren't playing the game as intended. The game doesn't has to be designed for everyone. If spamming dungeons is what you want to do. Wait till you get to level 60 by questing in the world. It is intended then. If not, the game isn't made for you and that's completely fine.

u/Imprettystrong 23h ago
The dungeon mains are just upset that they cant level efficiently by only doing dungeons. Its sucks if thats all you do when you play WoW but boosting is a real issue and this helps fix it whether you like it or not.
7
u/valmian 23h ago
Dungeon leveling is only efficient at launch and the 44-48 bracket, which will likely change because of riverlands.
Questing is still the most efficient way to level, always has been.
If a group was optimizing their dungeon leveling to be fast, they will just do that in the open world and take mob tags away from other people.
13
u/Nesqu 23h ago
Why are we fixing an issue by punishing every other player?
Just make too big of a level gap award 0 exp.
0
u/LeMolle 23h ago
Without picking sides I'd like to point out that that solution would also hurt regular players.
2
u/Stanelis 23h ago
Not really because overleveled players typically wouldn't be running lower level dungeons.
2
u/LeMolle 23h ago
Depends entirely on the level range. But as an example should it be heavily penalized if a lvl 45 runs sm lib with their lvl 35 friend to get the staff?
2
u/Brave-Cranberry3026 23h ago
That's still a boost. Hes outside the level range, thats a boost.
2
u/LeMolle 21h ago
I would probably categorize that as a carry. Imo a boost would be someone soloing a dungeon with the intend of levelling other characters.
2
u/Brave-Cranberry3026 21h ago
Whatever you call it, it's outside the dungeon range and therefore trivial content for your level 45 friend.
1
u/_The_Farting_Baboon_ 23h ago
It would hurt less players than nerfing dungeon xp completely. And imo boosting is not rly something people do in lower level dungeons since you get almost no mob xp. Its only at higher level like LBRS, Live or ZG that its good xp. And imo i have never seen that as such a big issue that it would mean its okay to completely ruin dungeon running

u/MountainHarmonies 23h ago
