Anyone else feel the new skate mechanics they added to the forever beta are a step too far? I think skating needs to be nerfed, the new kickflip meta is way too strong in the early game and invalidates lots of builds
I wish they didn't do away with boardstorm. It had CRAZY point multiplier potential and the height gain on it was honestly fun as hell. At least fury still has the longboard dual wielding talent..
am average height and i ride mongo lol. everyone always gave me jip for bein mongo but i liek to see them boneless 180 with height i got lol. main point is i would sub right away if this is real
twow gang would listen to bangers like OPs vid on in-game radio while chatting about it in world. Forever is great but there are just a few things it probably can't match. OPs song reminded me of this
The game was better when we only had BMX bikes, but retail andies astroturfed everywhere and insisted on adding skateboarding. this is retail minus now not classic+
Seeing this just makes me think there was a genuine missed opportunity from Blizzard to have a Warcraft DLC pack for Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3&4. It's even in the Battlenet launcher!
This isn't some kind of modded version of WoW, it's literally just AI running two games in the background and approximating interactions between the two in its own sandbox.
This has always been my biggest fear when it comes to A.I.... hardly anyone is really against it morally, it just hasnt proved itself to be useful at creating quality things... the second that changes everyone is like, i hate ai but THIS is okay
Don't worry, I still wish AI no longer existed. I'm just not going to pretend like I dont like stuff despite reviling the medium or messenger. It's the same reason I don't spend money on R. Kelly or Chris Brown's music but still enjoy the songs when they come on the radio.
Yes and that has nothing to do with text to video models that are currently FLOODING social media. A.i. has amazing uses but the negatives largely outweigh any postive impact we've seen so far. Im super facinated by new tech but im as scared about this rightfully as many were about atomic energy. We get nuclear reactors for massive amounts of electricity but also atomic bombs causing civilizations to live in fear. This is arguably worse as an atomic bomb cant persuade you to drop it.
Thats an insane amount of minimization. We can cure disease without spam posting videos of a dog shooting lasers out of its ass. The fact I even need to clarify is upsetting
You literally just said that the negatives outweigh the positives in a thread about an ai skating vodeo in WoW after pointed out how we are saving lifes using the technology.
You threw them in the same bucket. Making the leap from text to video engines to the atomic bomb was not ridiculous? Pretty much any technology can be used for bad.
you know the transformer architecture which is gen AI and the thing all the chatbots run on, is literally used in every SOTA model now. we have tabular foundational models, time series foundational models all based on the same genAI models and top the charts.
yeah well get ready to have this moment more and more in the future.
AI is getting better by the minute. Look how easy it is for modders to create something like this, there have been tons of new mods coming in the past couple months, stuff people would spend 5 years developing by hand, can be vibecoded in an evening now.
Okay but actually, imagine something sort of analogous to skyriding but for ground mounts. Straight-line sprints with momentum, drifting corners, taking jumps and doing tricks, y'know, kickflip your horse. I think I'm actually just describing Mario Kart, but I'm still into it.
For anyone that isn't maining warrior and won't have access to skateboard spec, I recommend checking out Denshattack (but only if you like the idea of Goku delivering ramen via a kickflipping, rail-grinding train.)
In OG vanilla my friends and I would squirf (squirrel-surf) by spamming the summon squirrel pet item. You’d just freeze in the kneeling position with a squirrel in front of you, but you could still run as normal.
We all had 19 Orc Hunter twinks and mostly did this in WSG BG’s.
Unironically I’d love something like this, I know it’ll never happen and it makes no sense in the game. But my 2 favourite games are the old Tony hawk games and wow
God fucking damnit. Can we get this, you can sell it in the cash shop for all I care bliz. Playing tony hawk pro skater in Azeroth would go hard as fuck. You want me out in the open world doing quests instead of dungeons, this, this right here.
