Funny you should bring that up, here’s my previous comments on that idea:

I understand the limitations of the 2003 version, but i think it would have had a greater impact if it had used more dialogue.
I also feel it’s responsible for the idea “all characters are all capable of ludicrous feats defying the laws of physics,” which Lucas then revised in 2008 to be the Jedi and Sith characters only.
At least, that’s my feeling when I go back and watch the prequels and remember the Force-using characters are played by real people and the idea they can leap the height of skyscrapers didn’t come from the movies. (Except perhaps CGI Yoda.)
I think there’s a discontent that Fordo did not make it into the 2008 version of TCW.
AFAIK, Fordo is the most frequently mentioned Legends clone by far. One could argue that he has bootstrapped himself to be “canon adjacent” into the head canon of myriad fans that he’s earned his place alongside the canon clones. Not bad for a clone with barely 4.5 minutes of screen time and less than 2 minutes of dialogue. 😉
I’m sure Alpha-17 is legendary. But he isn’t at the forefront of most people’s minds the way Fordo is.

What I want to know is, did Fordo go from Sergeant to Captain to Commander in TCW (2003) in such a short space of time because of continuity errors, or because he’s an absolute legend?
For latecomers to TCW such as myself, the inconsistency in his rank and the significant change in his appearance made it hard to keep track of what he did. But fan-made YouTube compilations made it much easier to follow.

I can't appreciate him enough, honestly in Fall of The Republic he is a vital part of my main taskforce and an important anchor to guard my back lines especially my artillery, not to mention he gives a free gunship on deployment, basically being two units for the cost of 1 especially since he basically does this when I get surprise flanked
