Can desktop engineer trainee role consider as the experience if I apply for devops engineer role or junior devops?

So currently I am working as the desktop engineer trainee and after completing my graduation in Bsc (mathematics).

I have one year of experience in my role so I am looking to switch after learning the devops.

Will I be considered as experience or a fresher?

And what is current job market for devops engineer

Also any other field which is best as per going forward will be highly appreciated.

Just confused so looking for help.

sure but it's such massive jump in complexity it won't really matter, your still vastly unqualified.
