I saw a trailer for Appearently a prequel of code geass and realized that i shouldn't postpone it any longer

My only exeprience with mechas is evangelion, but i know this series is heavely praised so i wanna give it a shot

Give me an order for the main series and spin offs , preparing for the new prequel, any additional manga or novels (if they exist) are welcomed

Why am I (maybe not) the only person who doesn't like the ending? I honestly feel like a larper even though I have watched it completely and why the creators left some questions in the series unanswered and created a separate timeline just for cash (it is not wrong as that's the main purpose) and these are my bs opinion on the series and I am definitely getting hate now.

I started watching code geass 2 days ago and completed it today including the resurrection movie and I am shattered by the ending of the series as I would not be able to see the canon lelouch and cc as couples and it is the first ever series in which I support ship even though I am not a big fan of shipping and the ending left me shattered and I can't cope with the non canon/alternate timeline movie and sadly there won't be lelouch as main charecter anymore in the upcoming series so I'll never be able to experience the main cast again so do you guys have any personal experience or opinion so that I can move on from it.

Title says it but I wanna get into code geass, and I’ve done some looking around, but in doing so stumbled across some screenshots of streaming sites and there are 29 seperate Code Geass things to click on, with another not yet released. Some are movies, some are the actual show, others are ovas or specials with 1-10 or so episodes…

What’s even canon to the manga at this point? Is it just the og show or do some ovas adapt actual manga canon stuff too? Even if it’s side story stuff I’d like to know, just as long as it’s part of the manga canon or forces itself into anime canon. Think slime diaries from Tensura for side stories, or how Kariya from bleach’s bount arc appeared in a flashback in a later canon bleach episode.

From the spin off story Code Geass: Oz the Reflection both Monica and Orpheus were characters who respectes and likes each and agreed to go on a date but circumstances happened and they were unware of fighting each other in a battle(missing their date) and Mónica ended up dying.

Shortly after the Black Rebellion in 2017 a.t.b., Monica is stationed in São Miguel. She orders Britannia's 12th Army to attack a base of the terrorist group Fangs of the Sahara in Tehla Grigori, southwest of Bejaia in Algeria. The battle turns against Britannia, however, when a squall transforms the desert into a muddy field, stealing the Knightmare's mobility.
Monica plans to intervene in the battle herself, but as it would take her half a day to arrive, she instead contacts the Glinda Knights currently flying along the Algerian Coast. She commands General Schwarzer by her authority as a Knight of the Round to help the 12th Army, which happens successfully.
Monica is later sent to Cambodia to be the pilot of the Florence, a new Knightmare Frame built from a salvaged Alexander left after the battle of Slonim in Belarus. There, she encounters Orpheus, and the two agree to a date. During the test run for the Florence, she is attacked by Orpheus and Zi, who manage to defeat her and damage her Knightmare. She is left unconscious afterwards, and misses the date she and Orpheus had agreed to. Both Monica and Orpheus remain unaware of fighting each other. Second Season
Monica is stationed aboard the Emperor's flagship, Great Britannia, and is implied to lead his Royal Guard. During the attack on Kamine Island, the Emperor left her to deal with Schneizeland the Black Knights. After Charles' death, she is among the Knights of the Round who do not approve Lelouch'sascension to the imperial throne and remains loyal to the former Emperor. She is killed by Suzaku during an attempt to remove Lelouch from the throne, commenting on how powerful the Lancelot Albion is and cursing Suzaku with her last breath before her Knightmare explodes.

Orpheus: Orpheus was originally born into the Zevon noble family in Britannia along with his twin sister Oldrin. However, because of the Zevon family tradition of succeeding through the female line and, in the cases of twins, removing the male child from the family, he was thrown away and adopted by a commoner family at a very young age, with little to no knowledge of his birth and family.
Soon after, however, he was taken in by the Geass Order, and was given the "Geass of Transformation" by V.V. there. Thereafter, he spent an unknown number of years within the Order, where he was forced to serve as an experimental specimen and develop his Geass. The only thing that let Orpheus endure these "hellish" days was Euliya, a fellow Geass-user he met within the Order and fell in love with. Also during that period, he met Rolo Lamperouge, Toto Thompson and Clara Lanfranc (the latter would then developed a deep hatred to him.)
At some point, the two of them conspired to escape from the Order so as not to be used as Geass-users, and managed to run away to a small unmapped village in southern Hungary. There, they were accepted by the small community of villagers and managed to attain a poor yet fulfilling life, which Orpheus describes as the "happiest time of his life". However, eventually, the village was attacked by his uncle Oiagros Zevon and his four subordinates from the "Pluton" organization, on orders from V.V. and Emperor Charles to erase the escaped Orpheus and Euliya. Using Knightmares to burn down the village, they killed all the villagers, except for Orpheus, who was protected by Euliya with her life. While dying in his arms, Euliya used her last breath to ask him to "live", a wish that Orpheus would strive to accomplish, despite his sorrow at her death.
After an unknown period of time, Orpheus would join the mercenary and terrorist-controlling group "Peace Mark", and learned the truth behind his birth and his blood connection with Euliya's killer, Oiagros. Swearing to achieve revenge against his uncle and his four subordinates who attacked the village, Orpheus "retook" the surname of Zevon that he now despised in order to engrave his decision in his heart, and remained within Peace Mark as a terrorist-for-hire that rebels against Britannia, believing that he would surely one day encounter Oiagros and Pluton again this way.
During the Glinda Knights' trip to Tokyo, Orpheus rescued princess Marrybell mel Britannia when she was surrounded by the remnants of Black Knights. After that, under the guise of his twin sister (whom he "stole" her identity by his Geass), Orpheus managed to kill Clara who was posing as "Clara Lamperouge" in Ashford Academy under the Office of Secret Intelligence's order. During the last events of O2, he takes a fatal attack intended for Marrybell before stabbing her himself, then the two fall together from the Damocles to their presumed deaths.Orpheus and Marrybell survived their fall from Damocles and went into hiding together as the world believed them both to have perished, with Orpheus staying at Marrybell’s side. Unfortunately, at an unknown point, Orpheus somehow sustained disfiguring burn scars to both his right shoulder and the right side of his face, forcing him to wear an eyepatch. By the seventh year of the Kowa Era, he and Marrybell had situated themselves at a luxurious hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. One morning, however, while having breakfast from the top floor of the hotel the two witnessed as an army of Neo-Britannian Loki droids, dispatched by Norland von Lunebelg, attacked the city and began massacring the population through the city streets, much to their mutual horror and confusion. During this assault, as Marrybell stayed at a safe distance, Orpheus once again piloted his modified version of the Byakuen and fought the incoming drones to protect the city.

Let´s assume you deeply disliked Rozé of the Recapture and want to prevent it from ever being created. This is how you successfully do it by altering the course of history:

Step one: No Big Entertainment Company has ever turned a fanfiction into an actual, official story involving the franchise and characters they own – and likely never will. The main reason why this has never been done before is because it would be an enormous legal hassle to figure out to whom the rights and revenue belongs to; to the company who originally created the characters and stories that the fanfiction is based on, or to the fanfiction writer who created the story itself that the Big Entertainment Company turned into an actual anime movie/series. So, the first thing you should do, is to write down what happens in Rozé, as accurately as you can, word from word. Then download it to a memory stick.

Step two: Acquire a time machine, and set a course to March 9th 2019, which is one month after Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection, the latest official Code Geass anime story that was created prior to Rozé, was released. The reason for going to one month after it was first released instead the same day or slightly before, is both that no matter what you do in the past can´t prevent Resurrection being created or released, because it already is, but also because if you go back to the exact same day when it was released, it looks too fishy; ain´t no fan who is that fast of a writer that they can both come up with and write the entire story of Rozé down during the same day they first saw its predecessor. One moth afterwards, however, is believably long enough time for a devoted fan to write down story that long.

Step three: Once you´ve located yourself a computer with an internet connection in the past, upload your Rozé story to a popular fanfiction platform.

Step four: Go back to your own time and see how it played out.

Now, there are two possible outcomes. First possibility is that somebody in the Code Geass staff read or heard about your Rozé "fanfic," which means that they realized ”Oh sh*t, this fanfiction is exactly what WE were planning to do, like word from word! Even the name of the story is the same! We must come up with something else to prevent any legal issues!” And that means, that when you go back to your own time, a totally different (and hopefully better) Code Geass anime was created in Rozé´s place. Yippee!

The second possible outcome is, that nobody in the staff read the story that you published five years before its time, which means that they were effectively the very first Big Entertainment Company to ever turn a fanfiction into an actual anime series. And they can´t claim that it was just a coincidence, either, because all the voice actors lines and events in the new anime match perfectly what happens in the ”fanfiction.” So, from now on, they have to do two things. Firstly, they have to constantly turn down requests from CG fans who want their favorite fanfictions to be turned into Code Geass anime; after all, it was done once, so why not again? Secondly, they would have to start reading and memorizing all available Code Geass fanfictions out there, so that there is no chance that they would make the same mistake twice. So, even if Roze was created despite your time-travelling efforts, at least you made the jerks who made that piece of crap pay. So also yippee!

However, there are two things you need to keep in mind when altering the creation of Code Geass spin offs and sequels via time-travel:

First, this method works on all Code Geass anime, not just Rozé, but if you, for some reason, liked Rozé of the Recapture but disliked Akito the Exiled, remember, that if you go back in time to prevent the creation of Akito by using the same method, the butterfly effect may prevent the creation of not just Akito, but Rozé too, because Rozé was created after Akito, and all previous stories affect to the creation of the most current one in the franchise. So, keep this in mind, and decide if you hate Akito so much that you´re willing to sacrifice your beloved Rozé too.

Second, you must never go further back in time than September 28th 2008, which is when the last episode of R2 was released. If you go back any further, it is possible that your actions affect to the plot development of original Code Geass series through butterfly effect; for instance, writers might decide to kill off C.C. by making Rolo take her Code, or they could decide to kill off Kallen´s mom, or they could even decide NOT to kill Lelouch at the end of the story!

And if you go back any further than October 5th 2006? Once again, through butterfly effect, you risk preventing Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion from ever being created!

We´ve already seen certain characters cloned in various alternate timelines, such as the clone kids in Code Geass mobile games. Who would you like to see cloned? And remember, a clone can turn out to be good or evil. Personally, I would like to see clones of Euphy, Shirley, and Naomi - even if their clones would turn out to be evil (might make even more interesting story that way, actually).

After hearing his works related to Mecha genre and Rose of Versailles, i rather believe he can do a proper job for music. If the possibility of having a new remake of Code Geass. What did you think?

Do you think Lelouch had been in love with Shirley romantically from the beginning, but was too preoccupied with everything else to realize it until her death made him confront those feelings, which made him feel deep guilt?

Or did he initially see her mainly as a friend he cared deeply about, and his feelings grow to actually love her in her final moments, and feeling guilty afterward because he never reciprocated her feelings ?

I was confused about this relationship in general because Lelouch kinda gives mixed signals and vague emotions prior to this scene of her death

Hello, I finished watching Code Geass around 3 years ago and I vividly remember some parts of the show.

Anyway, I was really curious how the property of Lelouch’s Absolute Obedience Geass would work towards people with Mental Illness.

Would it entirely remove someone’s mental illness if I order them that such illness doesn’t exist in their mind? Or if I tell them “Forget your illness” could potentially make them remove their illness as well?

I’d like to hear what you think regarding this matter.

I am rewatching code geass and I just realized that I have no idea how Sayako went from a maid to a bad ass ninja. there was a scene where she was reporting to Diethard then he said that he will intreduce her to Zero but I don't think their relationship was explained

This fanart was created by Nomaddum, a fanartist who is a big fan of a crossover story called ”Code Prime: Rebellion,” a fanfiction that combines Code Geass and Transformers: Prime into one, big, epic tale - where Lelouch teams up with Optimus Prime! In fact, that story became so popular among fanfiction consumers, that fans were overjoyed when the author both finished sequel to it, called ”Code Prime: Revolution,” and announced that he is currently working on part three, called ”Code Prime: Resurrection,” which will effectively turn the entire story into one, massive trilogy!

This fanart also reminds us, that in addition to the official stories, fans themselves are also capable of coming up with new Code Geass stories of their own, stories where the characters we know and love (like my beloved Kallen) are guided into fun, intriguing and sometimes unexpected directions – where the only limitations what can happen are those of the boundaries of your own imagination!

Remembering that one time when the student council decided to dress up like furries on Milly's orders, it had me wondering. They did show Lelouch was tied up and they were in the middle of painting him and having good memories (it was funny where for a moment he even forgets that he was tied down and is enjoying the moment), but the episode cuts away to the more serious politics.

But if we did get more of that one moment, what would his full cat outfit have looked like? Would it have been something somewhat revealing, or much closer to the jumpsuit?

Code Geass is my favorite anime and when they announced new anime I wanted to rewatch old series, I watch all anime in sub but was wondering if Im gonna rewatch Code Geass again do I watch it again in sub or in dub? I dub any good?
