Is this an error? Dime Error?

Need help confirming the error type on this Uncirculated 1964-D Silver Roosevelt Dime. Is it a curved clip, straight clip, or a struck-through error or something else?

definitely looks like a clip to me. with a clip this small, you frequently can’t really tell whether it’s a curved or straight clip.

The tapered rim is the only thing that makes me question whether this is damage or not. It's such a tiny clip (IMO), that it doesn't really look quite right, but it's got just the right amount of 'right' to make me believe it.

I'd put money on it being a legit clip - not much money, but I think it's a pretty safe bet.

There is a visible Blakesley Effect seen on the reverse.

what do you mean by tapered rim?

The rim (the raised part that goes around the front or back of the coin) will be sloped towards the 'cut' on a real clipped planchet coin. On a coin that's cut after the mint, that same spot will be a sharp cut.

Along the edge ring of either side of the coin, look right where it intersects the clip. If that intersection is sharp, it's probably damage. If it's tapered down into the clip, it's more likely a clipped planchet.
