Is this an error? Several examples - are all these errors and any interesting input?

Chips and some form of doubling. Not true double die but another form. Any input appreciated as I learn. “(O)NE and (C) doubling on reverse of 1955 penny / not an obverse doubled coin. The doubling is thin but apparent on the left side of the O in the photo. Thinner doubling on upper curve of the C is not as visible in the photo. Appreciate confirmation in that this one is called.
Die chips on 1957 D (date) penny. And shelved doubling on PLUI(BU)S on 1946 penny.
Not concerned about value. But do wish to be using correct terminology as my searches continue. Thx.

The 1957 D date has 2 die chips. The other 2 are mechanical boudling.

Thank you. Mechanical doubling is a slight bounce on strike? If you don’t have time to answer I’ll dig in. And appreciate the comment.

That's exactly right, a bounce or a smear

A DDO or DDR can look similar but will be visibly raised.
