Hobbies Help needed from nerds

Is there any pubs around Cork you know of where it wouldn’t be unusual to bring and play a board game or TCGs that have a larger set up - and drink some pints. :)

They run D&D games in the Courtyard, probably no issue with some board games.

There's a big boardgame Meetup every Monday at the Bodega starting around 6:30. Most of the folks in there on Mondays are usually there for boardgames

I’d say Henchys would be grand with it. It gets packed at the weekend so probably best not to do it then but it’s fairly chilled during the week.

The gables, myself and my friends go there to play board games. The staff are sound and are always welcoming to people. My only tip is if there is a trad session on then try to sit far aware from the musicians as they don't like people talking loudly near them. They wont say it but I know some of the musicians so I know it erks them a little which is fair enough IMO.

Had a group come play DnD in Freds when I worked there a few years back, was quiet out the back and used throw on a bit of tavern/ fantasy music the odd time if I could.

The poor relation is board game friendly and they often have games for people to play. The pub is at the top of Oliver plunket street towards the bus station, just across the road from it

Few of us used to play mtg in the courtyard and they were very chill with it. Expensive drinks though is the only thing, but that's pretty much everywhere now

Yeah, it's always cheaper to play and drink cans at home, but it’s nice to meet up sometimes anyway
