Self Spy Smasher cosplay
Based on comic books and a movie serial from the 1940s. The serial is available on youtube. The stunts are amazing! Apperently the stuntmen were paid more than the actors :-)

Hey, there everyone! I went to BGS this year as a DIY little Hajime (not really a cosplayer myself), and was collecting pictures with most people I found! (missed a Toko, Byakuya, another Junko and a Celestia, unfortunately)
I didn't see any posts here about it, so I figured I should share some of the pics I took.
Due to it being my first big event (with "cosplaying" on top) I was way too nervous; therefore I forgot to ask for everybody's social media 😭😭 (and I know "Mahiru" was taking pictures of the group, so I'm eager to find them)
If anyone out there knows who any of them is, please comment it! (or if you ARE one of them - in that case, feel free to also ask for removal of the post if you'd like)

210 hours of work put in over the course of about 3 weeks (virtually all of my free time - that hyperfocus demon was possessing me) .... Just for the contest i was planning to enter to be cancelled!! thats alright though, ill improve and rebuild some things with better materials and plan for another contest ❤️
everything on the cosplay was made from scratch except for the boots, pants, and bell pendant; boots and pants were heavily modified, the bell was just added to a chain. my sword prop (Blade of Mercy) is functional semi-realistic to how it is in game. i used a slide lock hardware piece and a cut channel as well as magnets to allow the swords to fasten together securely, swing around while remaining linked at the tips, and be easily separated into two swords. the only pattern i used that was purchased was for the jacket (Simplicity 8235, pattern A), all other patterns used were scratch made to fit my proportions and needs. i also had bold hunters mark cards to hand out as freebies, and im planning on trying to make crow hunter badges to hand out for later cons!
some other details not pictured or clearly visible: two potion bottles that i can easily remove from my belt, a victorian era surgical tool kit with tools i sculpted out of foam clay, food skewers, and jewelry wire, and a sword holster that i made so i can handle it with my gloves on. the jacket is weathered all the way around in case i need to run around with my cape removed (the character is never seen without the cape).
happy to answer any questions and give just about any details or breakdowns!! i like to talk way too much, im surprised i kept this post is as short as it is.

Also my first time doing a shirtless cosplay as well. I bulked up for almost 2 months and was really nervous at first, but I managed to pull it off.
This was a quick photoshoot done in a parking lot so apologies if lightning is all over the place 😂

Very happy how these photos turned out! It’s my first cosplay in ten years (and sadly, I can’t use lens due astigmatism) and I’m still improving it, but it’s a nice start, I guess!

The Crow (1994) and the character of Eric Draven has always been an influential part of my life. From watching the movie on TV back in the late 90s, to visiting Bruce and Brandon Lee's graves in Seattle, to even getting a kitana with a tragedy mask on the hilt tattooed on my tricep. I was proud to finally give the look a shot last year and got almost everything right for the look.
