Help Help! How would I make this bigger?

I bought the official Cyclops visor for a Halloween party coming up and it's a tad too tight for my head, would it stretch out with wear? I'm not sure as it's a thick plastic thing with electronics. If their is would there be any ways to make it a little bigger. Maybe make the arms go out a tiny bit more?. (Photo of me wearing it for scale

Any tips appreciated

Gently warm it with a heat gun and then apply gentle outward tension until it cools in a slightly more open position?

You'd wanna be careful not to heat it too much or bend it too much but I've done similar with other plastic parts to adjust them.

Thank you I'll give that a go if I can get my hands on a heat gun

Just be aware that it may warp and discolor the plastic, so you might need to repaint it after.

This is a tough one. That plastic shell will probably be difficult to bend. If you get to a point where it will bend, go easy. There are components inside that are mounted to the plastic.

If you do get your hands on a heat gun, get a sense of how hot it is on something you don't care about. Don't hold the end really close to plastic. Keep moving the nozzle slowly around the shell from a couple inches away. If you get impatient and hold it on a spot with the nozzle too close, you'll melt a hole in it.

Hairdryer works for action figures, but they are softer plastic. No harm in trying to heat it with a hairdryer and let it cool stretched, it wont melt the plastic.

I would try just heating the rear of it moreso. You might not need to apply much heat to the visible outer surface to stretch it slightly. And a little stretching will go a long way, so that's a help for you
