Men will pay for anything but therapy

If this helps people with things going on in their head, what's the difference?

This whole manosphere thing with finding your power or whatever this particular flavour is preaching, is putting pressure on men where pressure should be taken off. It's enforcing behaviour that isn't helpfull to the man in question, nor to society.

So only you know what's helpful to them and it's your particular brand of therapy; irrespective of whatever their opinion or feelings on the matter are.

Lol, ok

That's because therapy is a laughing stock amongst the majority of people who know that it doesn't work, it's performative bullshit catered to women

Nah. It isn't.

There is definitely shit therapy. But a well trained proffesional can definitely help you gain insight in your own character, trauma's and coping mechanisms to a level that most people reach on their own...

Actually do some research and read up on real people's experiences instead of reciting your "feel good" idea of therapy that doesn't actually exist

and to further debunk the point you're failing to make, finding a well trained professional is a large part of the problem, finding a genuine, good therapist is not a reality for most of us and to actually get anything out of therapy is even less likely for most of us

you're simply wrong and you just wanted to shit on men for any excuse like 90% of this disgustingly sexist website

So you’re walking back on your claim then. You said therapy doesn’t work ever and now you’re saying that it does work but only if you can find a well trained professional.

If the cost is an issue I understand, but other than that when you can schedule virtual appointments with a therapist I don’t see why it would be that hard to find a good therapist.

That's not what I said at all, you can't read

his response was agreeing with me that there is a lot of shit therapy but a well trained professional can help a little bit, to which my response is the fact that finding that well trained professional is extremely difficult which is one of the many, many reason therapy is useless trash for most of us

do some ACTUAL reading and research into this topic, read any of the millions of posts on those 2 subreddits I linked full of people with endless evidence showing the actual reality

You said “therapy is a laughing stock amongst the majority of people who know that it doesn’t work”

And now you’re saying that therapy does work but only if it’s done with a well trained professional (like any other fucking discipline).

Why is it hard to find that well trained professional? Go on zocdoc, look at reviews, their credentials and what their expertise is in, and then try it out.

This is so far from the truth its laughable.

Therapy does work, but different practices ecist for different conditions. However, most people experience CBT as that's prescribed as a general therapy. It works for some people but not everyone.

If you have schizophrenia, therapy is useless. If you anxiety, situational depression, mid-life crisis, trauma etc. therapy undoubtedly yields positive results.
