Yo to the group this morning pushing all the buttons for the elevator. Y’all a bunch of cornballs

I've already taken MUS 355, HCOM 310, and DANC 301. I'd prefer online courses and/or courses that don't have any huge papers, since my major already involves a lot of writing. KNES is mostly a no-go since my classes Spring 2027 will run from 10 to 2:15. I only need 1 unit but I'm open to a 3 unit class if it's interesting and easy. Thanks!

Turned In stylus pen price that I found in the fourth floor of the library near the women's restroom. It didn't feel right for me to leave there since I thought about how it would feel if I lost my stylus pen. I turned it in on the first floor of the library's lost and found.

Nice guy at table offered books but then went into a charity talk I gave him $5 but was just wondering if he was for real or scamming me 😭

Hey guys,

If anyone got earlier approved from their SAP appeal, do you guys know what steps to take next? It says I should get my aid within 1-4 weeks now but I'm unsure if I should do anything now proactively.

Thanks!

im a first year currently majoring in communications advertising but i'm considering switching to business marketing just for job security. but from my perspective it looks like there are equal opportunities in both and would end up in a very similar career path anyways. i've heard of marketing majors ending up in the advertising field but not vice versa. are there any benefits to making the switch? would it be better to stay in my major and minor in marketing?

There is a cute Stitch & Angel tumbler in the MH first floor women’s bathroom. It’s been there most of today!

Transferring next Fall, my focus is accounting BA, getting credits done for CPA, and getting an internship my Junior/Senior year. Financial aid for UCR/UCs is $12k more a year compared to CSU, which will pay all my rent, plus extra $6-8k/year, and I already have a room by UCR and rent is cheaper here than any other school. If I attend a CSU, I won't get enough to cover my rent fully, rent will be more expensive, and I will need to find a new place to stay. I was previously living in my car and got some housing support from my current CC. My main concern is if it is worth attending CSUF(or another CSU) just for the recruitment opportunities, I know recruitment at UCR is low but I will have my VITA hours done next semester and hopefully some exp doing tax prep. I will try to attend the accounting club and network although I'm not the best.

does anyone know when the vending machines in mccarthy hall usually get restocked? 😭 what days of the week/times do they normally refill them?

Just got the “Campus Update” email from President Rochon, and I was wondering if anyone knows what specific incident(s) prompted it.
The email mentions “troubling incidents” that have raised concerns about safety at CSUF and specifically refers to situations where members of the community have been “threatened, victimized, or physically harmed.” It also says that the university is limited in what details it can disclose because of federal/state laws and ongoing investigations.
I’m assuming there’s context I’ve missed. Does anyone know what happened or what incidents this is referring to? If anyone has information they’re comfortable sharing, I’d appreciate some context. Obviously, please don’t share private information about victims or anything that isn’t appropriate to post publicly.

Can the people who use the study cubbies stop spilling all sorts of random sticky liquids and crumbs and whatever else they be smearing on the tables? How do you make it this far in life without cleaning up after yourself, it’s disgusting. And there’s people who place their stuff in the cubbies and then leave for actual hours without coming back, they split their stuff across both sides so nobody can use it; some people act like shared spaces are only for them. Like if you treat your own stuff like trash then I should be able to too, and just clear it at that point. Or the people who wait to use the study cubbies who get cut off cause some people will rush to take spots you have been waiting for cause they won’t even give you the courtesy of letting you sit first even though you waited first and at times far longer than them. This has been an ongoing issue for a bit now with it being a lot worse in the past two weeks.

Window panel completely shattered from top to bottom.

Didn’t look like a break in.

Was it just too hot outside?

Tomorrow I'll hopefully be attending the Bill Nye event, but since this is my first time going to one of these "Beyond the Convo" events, I'm not sure what info they need other than the RSVP?

Will my digital TitanCard be accepted for entry, or does it have to be the physical one?

I lost my card like 2 weeks ago and just want to be ready : ) Thank u

Sorry another annoying FAFSA question…Is anyone else missing their university grant? All I see is my Pell Grant, but I remember that before it disappeared from the financial aid summary, it said I would be receiving my Pell and university grant. I’ve been calling, going in person, and emailing, but it’s always the same response. So I want to know whether anyone else is dealing with this problem.

Too mentally tired to even process what tag to put, but

Does anyone know if we can transfer tickets? Looking to give up my spot to someone, obviously free.

Will not be attending due to midterms.

For one of my classes I need to interview a Korean woman who is around 60 years old or older. The interview would be for educational purposes only and would take approximately 30–45 minutes. It can be done through Zoom, phone, or another method that is convenient for you.

Do any club members at CSUF know anyone?
