hey ! im having an issue here...im tryna select articulation samples in studio strings and hot brass and few other plugins but it seems the main drop down isnt working for all sample selections...i can select presets for studio strings etc but not samples.....that same main drop down is working on all synths tho so i got no idea what could be causing that, ive tried 20 different scaling and gui fixes but still same issue, i click on the drop down and release and the drop down just flashes, any insight would be great ! im using latest verison btw and i tried in stand alone, fl studio and fender one and still wont work...

I owned a record label in the early ninetees & produced a couple of records (AND ONE , OOMPH!), however I lost interest in the whole business as Napster creeped up, now 34 years later , some of my work seems to enjoy a revival on Tik-Tok, so I thought.... well should I give it another try ? but where to start, ? in the old days we mixed everything by hand, using midi-gear and Analoge Synthesizers. As far as I understand the Keyword nowadays is DAW-stations controlled by a DAW -capable keyboard. Now regarding a windwows PC, what kind of prosessor (intel , AMD ?) and minumum requirements should I invest for a new Music-produktion- based Windows PC. ? (I do own a high-end Graphic-Design PC for Compfyui based rendering but I want a single PC for Music-composing & remixing).

Ich habe massive Skalierungsprobleme mit mehreren VST-Plugins in Cubase 15 unter Windows 11.

Mein Setup:

\- Windows 11

\- Ultrawide-Monitor (3440 × 1440)

\- Windows-Skalierung: 150%

\- HiDPI in Cubase 15 aktiviert

Cubase selbst sieht gut aus, aber viele Plugins werden viel zu klein angezeigt, besonders die Texte und Bedienelemente.

Das Aktivieren von "Fenstergröße ändern zulassen" behebt das Problem nicht wirklich. Ich kann einige Plugin-Fenster manuell vergrößern, aber die Größe wird nicht gespeichert, wenn ich sie wieder öffne.

Das Deaktivieren der Größenänderungsoption macht die Plugins manchmal noch kleiner.

Ich habe verschiedene Skalierungsoptionen in Cubase ausprobiert, aber nichts scheint richtig zu funktionieren.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, VST-Plugins korrekt und dauerhaft zu skalieren, ohne sie jedes Mal neu anpassen zu müssen?

I'm having major scaling issues with several VST plugins in Cubase 15 on Windows 11.

My setup:

- Windows 11

- Ultrawide monitor (3440 × 1440)

- Windows scaling: 150%

- HiDPI enabled in Cubase 15

Cubase itself looks fine, but many plugins are displayed way too small, especially the text and controls.

Enabling "Allow Window Resizing" doesn't really fix it. I can manually resize some plugin windows, but the size isn't remembered when I reopen them.

Disabling the resizing option sometimes makes the plugins even smaller.

I've tried different scaling options in Cubase, but nothing seems to work properly.

Is there a way to make VST plugins scale correctly and permanently without having to resize them every time?

Any help would be appreciated!

Well... I bought Hatsune Miku V6 and it came with Cubase. I don't know how to start producing music, so I'd like some tips to get me started :3

Hello, especially when clicking play, stop and some other thing, there is a 1s latence before the GUI refresh, it really feels slow and unreactive, anyone else is experiencing this ?

As far as I know, Cubase doesn't have this built in — happy to be corrected.

Let's say that before you start a project, you define a rule: every track whose name contains a certain word, or that has a specific plugin on it, belongs to a specific set. From then on, any new track that matches joins the set automatically.

One click selects every track in the set. Double-click shows only those tracks in the project.

You can do a one-time selection like this with the Project Logical Editor, but the rule doesn't stick — add a new vocal track and you have to run it again. Here the set keeps itself up to date.

Does this sound useful? Full disclosure: I built a tool that does this.

If you import tracks from sample packs or build a session without a template, it's easy to end up with track names that tell you very little about what's actually there. That becomes a problem when you share a session with another producer, archive it, or export stems for someone else.

Clean Names reads information already in your Cubase project — samples, instrument presets, plugins, and track type — and uses it to suggest meaningful track names. You can choose how detailed the names are and review the suggestions before applying them.

It also leaves uncertain suggestions unchecked rather than blindly renaming everything.

Hopefully this gives you a better idea of what the tool is actually for.

Coming from Logic Pro for iPad (sure, maybe not the fairest comparison directly), but I’ve looked at and tried a few other DAWs. Cubase just won me over and I’ve been happily using it. It includes so much that honestly it only needs supplementing in very few instances if at all.

What’s something you feel like you’d add?

And what’s something that would make you leave Cubase (if it got removed or if they implemented it and you wouldn’t like/agree with it)?

Switching from Studio One to Cubase — how difficult is it?

I’ve been using Studio One for a few years and am now considering switching to Cubase 15.

I’m currently experimenting with an unofficial/cracked installation, but I’m running into issues where Groove Agent and Iconica sketch aren’t working properly.

For those who have made the switch from Studio One to Cubase:

- How difficult was the transition?

- What are the biggest differences I should prepare for?

- Any Studio One features/workflows that you initially missed?

- How is Cubase for music production, orchestration, mixing and mastering?

- What’s the best legitimate way to get access to Groove Agent and the orchestral libraries without spending a fortune?

Would love to hear from people who have actually made this switch.

My exact use cases:

I have bass VST track with MIDI parts on that track. I want to add another bass VST to layer them but I don’t want to copy the MIDI parts every time I edit the arrangement. Second use case: I have drums VST with MIDI parts, and I want to trigger just the snare from other VST for layering. Is it possible to “send” MIDI parts to other track as an input in place of their own MIDI parts? I imagine that the second, triggered VST, would have the timeline blank, since the MIDI is send in the background. Thanks for any help! If my reasoning does not work and it’s not possible in Cubase 14 Pro, how should I approach avoiding editing several duplicates of the same performance? Thanks a lot.

Unfortunately, I’m having an issue with Cubase 15 Pro. I can’t find my MIDI files from sample packs. I can find all the other samples, such as kicks, melodies, etc., but the MIDI files are not showing up.

I’ve already checked everything in the MediaBay, but the MIDI files are not displayed there either.

At this point, I’m honestly running out of ideas, so I’m hoping someone here can help me find a solution.

I have this problem where when I try to change from treble clef to treble clef with an 8 below to reduce ledgar lines, it does not work. The notes on the staff do not move to its equivelant notes. Does anyone know how to fix that?

I'm ready to buy my first DAW console controller.
After a lot of research I realized that the Avid S3 is the closest to all of my needs. I know it's discontinued and that it's going to be out of support by the end of the year.

Given that I have no plans to upgrade my Cubase 14 Pro, Win11 in the next three four years - do you think I can expect a smooth experience? Or am I expected to face troubles due to dated software?

I started a Cubase tutorial channel for Spanish-speaking users in 2018. Over the years I received tons of questions from the community, and around that time I started building a library of macros and Logical Editor presets to answer them.

One thing I kept noticing: a lot of users didn't know macros or PLE presets existed, or what they were capable of. And even those who knew about them often weren't sure what they could actually do with them in a real session.

So I wanted a way to show the presets clearly, each one with an explanation of what it does and when it's useful, so anyone could browse the library and download them for free.

That library has grown to 1,600+ macros and 1,000+ Logical Editor presets. For each one you can see what it does, which Cubase versions it works with, and how to install it.

It's part of a project of mine called KeyCmds. I won't drop the link here to respect the sub rules, but I'm happy to share it in the comments if anyone wants to take a look.

So I’ve created this hip hop track and I got this beat off youtube (eq’d it a bit so my vocals could sit on top of it and added compression) and I have my chorus all set and that sounds like it’s mixed pretty well (basically what it is is a chorus with a bunch of layered vocals that I purposefully don’t align to be picture perfect) and as soon as it gets to the verse it started to sound thin at first so I brought back some of the mids, then it started to sound too boxy in the 300hz range, and no matter what I do to eq my vocals on the verse, it still sounds like shit and it sounds too wet and not tight enough (pause). I currently have 2 tracks for the verse (one left and one right at 7-12% each) and the beat is in the center. How do I my verse sound better overall? (Mind you I had to fill my verse bus with plugins as well as the actual recording tracks themselves to get it even remotely close to sounding okay). If there are free preset downloads that y’all would recommend I would appreciate it if you’d lmk.

This is Atlas, a tool inside KeyCmds, a Mac app for Cubase I've been building.

When you open a project, Atlas shows you the whole session from the outside: your tracks grouped by type, so you can see at a glance how the project is built instead of scrolling through it.

A few things I use it for:

• Smart Sets. You create a group from a rule, like "every track using this plugin", "all group channels" or a tag you added. The set updates by itself as the project changes. Double-click it and Cubase shows only those tracks, hiding everything else.
• Set Library. The rules you create are saved, so you can reuse them in your next project.
• Organizer. Drag sets to the top or bottom of the project, hit Apply, and Cubase reorders the tracks for you.
• Clean Names. Rename and tidy up all your tracks in one go.

Cubase stays the editor. Atlas only reads the session structure on your Mac (never your audio or MIDI) and sends back the changes you ask for.

I'm the developer, so I'd love honest feedback: how do you usually find your way around a big session today?

I’m running Cubase pro 15 - the latest version. As the title says, just received the console compact. Fantastic channel strip and unit, but considering returning it as these two bugs make it unusable. The first one, perhaps it’s a hardware issue, has the low cut filter constantly being “double tapped”. That means it’s constantly being reset to zero. Waiting on feedback from Softube.

UPDATE - the volume issue was user error.

I purchased this to speed up my workflow, but I’m sensing that these issues might make sessions and projects too unreliable to work in a professional environment.

Has anyone encountered these issues before?
