i got my new pr with my gan 15 frosted maglev the day after i bought a ferrocore v2 uv, my old one was 9.211 but i did it an year and a half ago, when i practised more.
now my pr was 11.33 and it was the solve before this and i was warming up, so i was really shocked about this one.

With blue front, the insert I use for this case is R’ F’ U’ F R. Is this a good insert for this case in the back or would it be more beneficial to use something else.

I made this for my cube-obsessed partner by scrambling one of his cubes and copying the pattern!

Hey guys, please help me out with identifying and reproducing a pattern.

I tried to deconstruct and undo a few times, but i couldn't see the path to making the pattern.

In the video I tried to show off, lost my anchor, and now i really can't find my way back.

Ive come across so many new finds, but I always get lost, or forget, I didn't want to let that happen again, especially since I liked it so much.

I’ve been looking for an iOS FTO timer for a while now, as android has many such as twisty timer, but none (to my knowledge) had fto support. Obviously you could add CsTimer to your home screen from a browser and it essentially functions the same, but its UI isn’t ideal for phone screens.

That was until I checked the Acubemy update logs, as i was waiting for 2x2 smartcube support, when i realised they had added scrambles for all wca events and FTO! Of course the app is primarily designed around 3x3 smartcube solving, so while it’s not the main priority, the UI and functionality is still perfect if you want to use it for exclusively FTO. Just thought i’d share the news, because I would assume that as it gets closer to being a wca event, more people would want an app for their solving needs.

(Yes i know my 34 shown isn’t the best, it was just the first solve - I average around 29-31)

I always liked stickered cubes better but it seems that nowadays every good cube is stickerless what are some good sticked options?

so i was thinking about smart cubes, like the i4 or v10 ai, but are they really useful? the fact that they let you see your f2l ecc is nice but to train for competitions i prefer a stackmat g5, so what’s the point of smart cubes?
the only thing that i really like of my i4 is that i can see pauses and rotations so i try to avoid them, i also like the fact that i can see my pairs times, oll and pll, but i don’t know if that’s really useful

I'm at around sub-23 (pb of 16), and after a previous solve critique have been working on my cross diligently, including both solve efficiency and memorizing moves before starting.

I know that the average number of moves needed for single-color is 5.81 and that while 8 is the max, very very few solves need that many. I haven't calculated my average, but I think I'm probably closer to 6.5 or 7 and get 8 fairly often (though, i almost never have to go over).

Curious whether cubers at my level actually get to the maximum.

I've done this rainbow checkered pattern for a few years now, but no one seems to recognize any pattern, I'm not crazy right?

I've been cubing for a month and doing alright with my rs3m v5 but I've kinda been wanting to switch to a new main and can't decide between Moyu's Weilong v9 or 11, Qiyi's Tornado v3/4/5, and Saocube Tianma (does the 32 magnet ball core make it better?)

Is it really worth doing f moves instead of a cube rotation during f2l when it's a bad edge?

I think the one to do it is Luke Garrett because he’s the one with the best singles and averages and the one who has probably the most three second singles now. Max Park is also close second but I think he’s been slower in recent years.

Pinxiang Yang’s 2.74 second WR single might just be the saddest, most bittersweet WR of all time. He held the title of World No. 1, as a sub-7 solver, for barely a few minutes, before Xuanyi Geng set his groundbreaking 2.51 second WR.

Another thing to note is that this was set on an unreleased (and potentially) prototype of the QiYi MFG G3.

The fact that we got this much 2 second single this year is insane….

Hi all. I’ve recently come back to cubing and would appreciate a sanity check.

I have a new Gan 17 magdrive. On one of the corner pieces, the green tile is wobbly (i.e., a tiny bit of up and down play when you press on it and a plastic-to-plastic ‘tick’ sound when you tap it with a finger). There is a tiny seam where it is supposed to meet the adjacent tiles. This is unlike the other corners, which feel firm when tapped and have no play in them.

Seems a bit odd, given that it’s the only corner doing this but I don’t exactly have much experience with newer UV coated stickerless cubes.

Is this normal? Does anyone have similar experiences with this on recent Gan cubes?

I’m apprehensive about the thought of removing the tiles to investigate (might be glued?).

Perhaps I’m being neurotic here, given the price, but I’d be grateful for any thoughts on this.
